I had that one my “to put on the blog”-list for ages, time that it finally appears here. I guess many know it already, but for those who don’t know it…. you will see a very intense scuba peril scene.
Two divers (one female, one male) exploring an underwater cave system. This is a dangerous task and they soon will realize that in a really bad way.

Wow! That scene is really evil. The way she struggles to survive then panics and wants to have that scuba mask for herself, clawing on it…
…and then tries to get it back…while she weakens with every second she is out of air. Intense!
In most aspects this drowning is very realistic, the way she swallows water after she runs out of air….you won’t see a scene like that often (in a “normal” movie or TV series).
She has doomed herself after damaging her precious air hose in a tunnel before.
Some aspects of this scene are weird to me:
—> 1) Why are there no bubbles as she damages the air hose in the tunnel? She should realize the damage herself right away. Even it started with “only” a tear in the air hose…you should be able to see that. Or he should be able to realize that much earlier….
—> 2) Ok, buddy breathing with that equipment costs a lot of oxygen. Shouldn’t they try to move in a direction together? Anywhere to safety? Buddy breathing and staying on the same point….is completely useless since no help will come to them in time. They would run out of air and would both die.
—> 3) They dive around in caves without any backup systems? Ok, they had to leave the bailout tanks, because of a very narrow tunnel. But hey, shouldn’t there be a second regulator and other safety precautions? Seems pretty…. MAD ….diving in caves like that….in my opinion.
But ok, how many new scuba scenes like this show up? Well, very few in the last 20 years. And it’s my first scene where a woman with a rebreather drowns…UNIQUE!
And the struggling and drowning are done very well!
First, thanks again to V for mentioning this movie. I watched the whole thing and it was very clear to me that it belongs on this blog, even there is no frogwoman in it. But don’t worry….I’m pretty sure that most folks might like these scenes for different reasons 😉
Some words about the story for a better understanding of the video. We have a slightly….mad… freediver who loves to wear his rubber suit and strangle women in his free time. And we have a female detective (Yvonne Catterfeld again) that hunts him.
So I included every scene with the mad killer in his rubber suit and the key scene where both met. And in that scene, he uses his …freediving skills… to his advantage…. 😉

Well, that is a special… nutjob! But I really like his diving suit…it is very sexy.
And it’s an interesting/unusual idea to let him run around in that suit when the crazy killer in him takes over…
And I really like that scene in the pool. A very nice drowning peril scene.
Interesting that they wouldn’t show his front side at any time (UW)….I am pretty sure I know the reason… 🙂
Perhaps the actor or stunt double got a little excited …being in such a suit..while pulling on Yvonne Catterfeld.

And I imagine a gender swap on that scene. A sexy femalefreediver…in that outfit….pulling a man underwater. OH MAN!!!!
We need more crazy female serial killers with a fetish for sexy diving suits…. 🙂

For today I combined 3 scenes from german actress Yvonne Catterfeld into a single clip.
In the first one, we see her in a pretty normal wetsuit. In the 2nd we see her in a swimsuit fighting against evil showers…..and in the 3rd one, she is actually diving in a lake to find a sunken car.

Yeah, some nice scenes. Not often do we see a woman in three different “aqua”-outfits in one movie… and she looks good in all three of them 😉
Of course, I would have preferred the bad guy (who cut her reserve tanks loose) to actually dive down to her…and fight against her. But well… no luck.
It has nice “scuba peril” elements and two female divers with pretty hot wetsuits (wish they would use more of these in modern movies)

Well, that scene has some odd aspects….why is she alone in the wreck? Where is her buddy? Where is our “heroine” that should actually look for her (before she gets lost)…as she is a dive instructor…..
And how is she stuck there? Why is she unconscious at the surface??? So many questions 😉
And that scene has nearly no connection to the rest of the movie…I guess they just wanna show what cool job the female lead has.
But well, a female diver in peril and sexy wetsuits…so I won’t complain 🙂
For now, I do have a real highlight for those who don’t know this scene already.
I thought about if I should post such a wicked, evil scene on my blog. Yes, I posted deadly underwater attacks before…but this one… wow!
It’s very wicked, but I must admit it arouses me big time (as a fantasy scenario)! But the ending….well, more on that after the video….

Ok, first let me explain some things to those who are wondering what happened to her:
After she realizes that she is out of air and that her buddy won’t help her (that bastard), she realizes that she must surface….and that quickly.
She ascends to the surface very fast…way too fast. So I would say parts of her lung rupture….

Weird aspects of this scene:
Well, her behavior (in parts). She realizes that she is out of air. Normally you would grab the “spare” (your second regulator) to try to breathe from it. In case your (first) regulator would have a malfunction. She doesn’t do that…hmh, ok. Now she turns to her buddy, she signals him that she is out of air but he won’t help her and keeps a distance from her. Ok, she could go after him and try to get his regulator….but that might get difficult.
Now, she could get the idea, that he actually wants her dead. And she could try to check her air valve for the pretty big chance that he closed it. Of course, she is out of air for some seconds but there would be enough time to reach for the valve, or take off the tank and check it. Would be very interesting to see what HE would do then…. 😉
Well, as she doesn’t check the air valve, she has only one option left…ascending quickly to the surface.
I don’t know how realistic is what we see know. With all that (fake CGI) blood and so on…

Arousing and non-arousing aspects of the scene:
Well, I must admit. The moment she is out of air, signals him and starts the panic sounds… that is very sexy. And it is really well done.
And I know that a lot of you guys will think like that about this scene 😉
And even the diver seems ….VERY aroused:

…well, who can blame him?
The aspect of her forced quick ascend is… really evil. I don’t like it. Pretty brutal. And unsexy….
In my version, she would try to open the air valve again.
She would be successful, but at that moment… as she is busy with her gear …he would rip off her mask and cut her air hose afterward. She would try to grab his regulator but without her mask, she would lose the fight and drown.
And this scene is the opening of the movie, I would love to see a payback scene afterward. Where he is drowned in a fight with a female diver (maybe her sister on revenge) that wants to stop him once and for all. But sadly, it is the only scuba scene in the movie….

I edited this video in a way that we basically have two scenes in it. In the first Lee Majors (aka Steve Austin in this one) tries some new underwater breathing device as two bad frogmen attack him!
In the 2nd scene, a frogwoman uses the same device and is trapped in a cage so he needs to rescue her…

Well, the fight scene is pretty nice even if there are no scuba ladies involved.
The second scene….well, as mostly it could have been better. They lock a frogwoman in a cage with a breathing device that only works with Lee Majors.
But instead of showing her…how she doesn’t get any air and starts to panic…they show the fight on the surface. And even as Majors is underwater we didn’t get one good shot on Elke Sommer and her faulty breathing device…..
On the good site is her in that wetsuit. She looks really good in it.
And her lying on her back in that wetsuit….that’s my favorite part 😉
