A female and a male diver get attacked…. by a net!

Well, the net isn’t magical… but it gets deliberately thrown over them to kill them!

I have known about this movie for a very long time, and I made a post about one scene ten years ago:

https://frogwoman.org/female-scuba-bomber

There is also this scene that I never posted here because of … a rather embarrassing reason….:

I thought that both divers in this scene would be guys.

Only one of them is shown well from the front. We only see very little on the surface of the other one.

Lately, this movie was brought up in a forum thread, and I watched that scene again… and I have to admit:

No, those are not two guys in that scene, at least not on the surface! (perhaps a male stunt diver underwater?)

But I took a closer look… and I’m now 99,99% sure that the diver (without the bomb) on the left actually is a woman.

Maybe the picture quality in an earlier version that I had seen was worse… and so I didn’t realize it, hard to say.

But with the fact that a female scuba diver is in the scene… the scene has to be featured here!

Ok, yes… we do see not much of her both on the surface and underwater.

The water skiing scene is awfully short, and then you see her only from behind, already in full scuba gear.

And I guess I was just skipping through the movie and didn’t make the connection between the water skier and the diver.

She is fully hidden in her scuba gear underwater (hood, narrow mask, vest), especially as basically every shot underwater only shows her thrashing around in the net.

A shame they only showed so little of her πŸ™

But nevertheless, that scene must be featured here now!

The peril is shown quite well, even though there is that much movement.

Why they try to bomb that yacht in broad daylight is a mystery to me… but otherwise they couldn’t have filmed this scene well πŸ˜‰

Also, catching them like that with a net… seems very difficult… but ok.

Some continuation errors are included, as at least one of them is shown without the regulator and then with it back in again.

But ok, maybe he/she lost it once and retrieved it back… only to lose it again? Could be…

Also: How can the guys on the yacht know that they were already dead/finished before they cut the line to the net? Hope? A guess?

I guess it would be awfully difficult to escape such a net when it moves around at that speed, so I think it is quite realistic… more or less.

It’s also interesting that only he was able to get to his knife; her knife is still in the sheath.

Guess she couldn’t reach it as she was entangled in the moving net.

The guys behind this movie certainly had a thing for nets, as this isn’t the only scene where a scuba diver gets caught by it (link above) πŸ˜‰

Somehow weird that the bad guys in the movie didn’t have scuba divers on their side. I mean, they constantly get attacked by scuba divers who try to blow up their yacht πŸ˜†

But maybe they thought that a net here and there was enough… a missed opportunity nonetheless πŸ™

However, I was now motivated enough to order the (French) DVD of this movie for the collection.

Perhaps I will now watch the whole movie (subtitles?), even my (school-) French is quite “rusty”.

Thanks to the nice guy who recommended it to me!

In this video, you will find a female scuba diver (and a guy as well) underwater and on the surface!

Another case of a video that wasn’t welcome at YouTube, even in the shorter version. I tried, but it got blocked right away.

But don’t worry, you can view and download the video.

Watch the video before you continue!

The mouthpiece/2nd stage is interesting! The BCD is directly connected to the 2nd stage here. Never seen that setup, that must be quite rare.

A mouthpiece with 2 different hoses… looks quite weird, and that design was dropped really fast afterward.

*EDIT* Nevermind, my bad… they have a “normal” 2nd stage regulator, they just not using it here…

The scuba scenes here are solid, not much to see here, and the actual attack isn’t shown, but for a good reason, as the early 90s CGI effects are really bad as I have seen in the rest of the episode πŸ˜†

She does look fine in her wetsuit and scuba gear!

After the attack on her, he just finds some ripped neoprene of hers (no blood), and then the boat gets attacked once more.

There is another scuba scene in the episode, but just with a guy.

A female diver, a male diver… and a hungry shark

I wanted to post about this one for quite some time now, even though the movie is rather new.

The movie itself is… bad, but it has a scuba scene in it!

Check it out…

Ok, the CGI effects are really bad! I guess there was only a 20$ budget for those…

I’m not a big fan of such lycra suits, and her gear combo is quite… odd.

Completely bare legs in combination with a hood?

That’s like wearing a coat and shorts πŸ˜†

But she looks good on the surface and underwater and the scuba scene is solid (if you ignore the CGI aspect… and the behavior of the “shark”).

Also, there must be a hell of a current as they are so far away from each other after he surfaced… but ok, not really important.

Don’t bother to watch the rest of the movie… it’s not worth it.

This is the best part of it πŸ˜‰

Frogwoman Lucy and Freedivers Rachel and Alice in β€œThe Trap” – [31st video of Project F – 5th video shoot]

So, it’s time for the first new β€œProject F” video in 2024!

This is video 31 and the first from the 5th video shoot.

In this video, Frogwoman Lucy wants to test some new scuba gear in the deep pool!

Rachel and Alice are also there to train their freediving skills and they have a sinister plan in mind… What will happen?

Video contains:

1 frogwoman, 2 female freedivers, neoprene, 3 smooth skin wetsuits, scuba peril, scuba fight, freediving, modern scuba gear, hoods (2 of 3), fins, surface shot

Lethal or non-lethal ending for at least one of them?

Spoiler title
Lethal

(will add such info on the other videos as well in the next weeks)

Background info (without spoiler):

I think the video turned out pretty good and has a lot of aspects I really love, and you hopefully will love as well!

Frogwoman Lucy got the new Elios wetsuit I got some weeks before the video shoot.

I think it looks quite spectacular! You don’t see many red wetsuits as that color is a little “problematic,” as I explained in the unboxing video.

As I am a huge Thunderball fan, I love the red/orange wetsuits that Bond and the Navy diver wore in that movie.

And this wetsuit has a very interesting red that changes quite a bit with the overall lighting!

I really like scenes where Frogwomen film themselves as the camera is close by all the time, and you don’t have any breathing sounds of me on it (when I am operating the camera).

Rachel and Alice are experienced Freedivers in real life, so it was the best choice to let them play these roles in the video.

It’s the first video with Rachel in it! #debut

Lucy has only the limited scuba experience she has from the 4 (of 5) video shoots in which she participated, but again, she performed really well!

From a retro perspective, it would have been good to have done some more takes of some of the action scenes at the end with better instructions from me.

But that is always the problem with very limited time. Perhaps I will add 1 or 2 hours to the next video shoot, even if that costs … even… more money.

This video is a good example of how continuity errors find their way into movies and videos, as you may already see in the pictures above.

Lucy did a first dive with the all-black mask, but water got into it… so she got another mask to use in the video.

But I just didn’t think about the fact that meant that we had to re-shoot the surface scene as she there had the all-black scuba mask…. yeah, not my best moment.

In the video, I built in two short explanations for gear changes as I think that was the best way to now deal with them so they are not a problem.

Also… an extra thanks to Rachel and Alice as they brought their own freediving fins to the video shoot! (They got a little extra for that)

I do have several pairs of normal scuba fins…. but no long freediving fins in my gear collection…. so far.

Where to watch it?

The video will be available again in February in the VIP club alongside the other content!

Here is a quick overview of the content of this month:

https://frogwoman.org/frogwoman-vip-club-september-2025

…or…

…get the video any time you want!

https://frogwoman.org/project-f-videos/project-f-video-packages

You can watch and download these videos in the VIP club, but only for personal use!

Don’t share them with anyone…. anywhere!

It’s pretty simple, I had to spend a lot of money:

All that scuba gear, location rent, and the money for the frogwomen and the safety diver.

If I don’t make enough money with these videos….. I won’t be able to make new videos at some point.

I hope you appreciate these videos and want to see more in the future!

After all, you get all those Project F videos each month  + additional content for just 12 euros (or even less per month if you get into the VIP club for more than one month).

I would say that is quite a bargain!

Why are my videos not on sites like Clip4sale?

Well, Clip4sale are a bunch of cutthroats that want 40%(!) of each video that you sell.

Yes, they offer those videos to a wide audience, but I don’t wanna give someone 40% for “just” providing the platform to sell the videos.

Also, that would mean that you would have to pay a lot more to get the videos…

I guess I could have made more money if my videos were on Clip4sale… but well, I won’t do it.

I will check out other sites like Vimeo though, if that would be an option or not.

–

The future of Project F?

I will upload another new Project F video from this video shoot every 2 weeks from now on…. 6 or 7 in total!

In the summer I wanna finally have my first video shoot in a lake (June?)

And there will be another video shoot this year in this cool deep pool …around September.

So, there will be many more new videos for the VIP club for sure πŸ˜‰

“Swimmer VS Frogwoman” – test video [15th video of Project F – 2nd video shoot]

So, it’s time for the fourth video of the 2nd video shoot of β€œProject F”!

As mentioned in the previous posts, the videos from that shoot will be pretty short, but action-packed, as we tried some simple action scenarios.

In this video, you can find 2 takes as we tried a “Swimmer VS Frogwoman” scenario.

+ a short teaser:

–

Video contains:

1 frogwoman, 1 swimmer with a snorkel mask, neoprene, 2 smooth skin wetsuits, scuba peril, scuba fight, modern scuba gear,

1 hood, fins

Lethal or non-lethal ending for at least one of them?

Spoiler title
Non-lethal

Background info:

I think the “Swimmer VS Diver” scenario is always interesting, even though most of these rare scenarios in the movies end with the death of the swimmer in 99% of all cases.

I would like to build in some surprises in a long, scripted version so it won’t be the standard outcome. Or maybe the expected outcome and some surprises on the way to it. I won’t spoil it here πŸ˜‰

In these two test takes, we tested that scenario.

Several problems make this scenario challenging.

First of all the swimmer has no air source underwater (surprise!) and therefore she can’t stay down for long during such a fight. That makes filming more difficult, of course.

We tested in the shallow end of the pool to stay on the safe side. In the long and scripted version, I would like to use the deep end.

The swimmer has no weights, so she is very buoyant, especially as she is wearing a full neoprene suit here, which increases her buoyancy. The diver must pull her underwater and keep her there… which isn’t very easy.

In the full-scripted long video, we will add more weights to the frogwoman, which should help, even if it will make normal swimming more difficult for her. Perhaps she will wear a 2nd weight belt that she would drop once her evil job is finished. πŸ˜‰

The snorkel mask we used here isn’t so good for the scenario.

At the end of take 1, the mask started to fill with water, which wasn’t supposed to happen as Frogwoman Lucy didn’t attack it prior.

Maybe we use swimming goggles for the long, scripted video.

Fun facts:

At the very end of take 2, you can see how Kara yanked the mask of Lucy away from her face so it flooded completely.

The first time that Frogwoman Lucy was blind underwater and close to defeat.

2 female scuba diver, a wreck, and a shark! [Blog exclusive]

Well, I guess you know what might happen in that video….

This one is from a movie I know for quite a while and that was recommended at least by 2 folks over the years.

I posted about the first movie of the movie series in two posts:

Post 1

Post 2

This movie will be featured in (at least) one future post as well.

In this early scene of the movie, two women dive together into a wreck. But some shark is quite hungry…

And here is the video:

Video

Scenes from the first movie were blocked on Youtube back then and this is quite brutal (even you don’t see much) so I decided to post this one on Drive as well.

Well, for me the scene is ….ok. Some others may like it better than me… I guess.

The shark scenes where a real shark was filmed are good, the cheap prop they used for some closeups is really… cheap.

Yeah, I know the budget was small and CGI wasn’t really an option back in 2000…but the result just looks bad.

Also, the roaring sounds of the shark are just laughable! Reminds me of Tomb Raider 2 πŸ˜‰

What morons come up with such fantasy sounds?

The camera work during the attack is quite bad, most likely as they couldn’t show the prop shark for too long.

On the plus side, the dive equipment is solid and there are some intense perilous moments as the divers are quite “loud”.

Ok, for me that kind of peril isn’t exciting at all… but well, others may see that differently.

Also, I wonder why they didn’t have at least one or two minutes with these women on the surface with some dialogue lines.

I mean she gets chomped by that shark and we know nothing about her and didn’t hear one word from her. That way the audience doesn’t care too much about her.

The next scene that I will present in a future post is more interesting… at least for me.

Female scuba diver gets attacked by another diver! [Hall of Fame – UPGRADE]

As I am re-uploading all the videos onto the new Frogwoman Org Youtube channel I stumbled upon some videos that certainly deserve an UPGRADE.

In many cases, there is now a better picture quality available, and also back in the early days of the blog, I wrote only very little in my blog posts.

So, along with providing a video with better quality I also wanna provide a much longer text like the ones I write in recent years.

This scene is an absolute classic if you are interested in scuba fights. The picture quality of the video I present here is now a little better.

This is my old post back from 2014 about the scene:

https://frogwoman.org/female-scuba-diver-gets-attacked-by-another-diver

Preview:

And here is the video:

Certainly a really good scuba fight/peril scene even it has quite some flaws for me.

The scene where he attacks her is quite odd. He appears right in front of her and seemingly she didn’t see him before?!? I mean perhaps he was hiding but you see the bubbles of a diver, especially when he is in front of you.

Check out how she reacts to his attack, both her arms go for his right arm that is wielding the knife. Yeah, the knife is a big thread but his other arm is thereby completely free and he can rip off her mask without any struggle. Also, it seems like she is using only one of her arms after his initial attack….quite odd. Normally a diver should use both hands to attack or block the other diver’s hands so that you can control them. But ok, she certainly was surprised by him….

She is very, very, very passive in the whole scene. Yeah, he (seemingly) surprised her but she didn’t even try to rip away his mask or regulator, would have been great if she did!

What is bothering me here the most is her reaction after he ripped away her mask and regulator.

She doesn’t try to get her regulator back or is attacking him to get his regulator. She just tries to get to the surface….

But even if that would be successful, he would still be there and could attack her again with him being totally in advantage with his knife and scuba mask.

And is badly scripted how calmy she is trying to get away from him and to the surface. She almost looks bored in the video! πŸ˜†

She should be in a panic right now!

I mean he attacked her underwater!

She is about to drown!!!

But she looks like she is watching a documentary about the different shades of white paint πŸ˜‰

But ok, enough of that. This one is one of the very few scenes where a female scuba diver gets attacked and drowned in a movie or TV show.

And despite its flaws, it’s quite thrilling and sexy as a (fictional) scene!

Maybe I’m imagining things but as the evil guy dives away there is a suspicious bulge on his wetsuit….. I guess the actor/stunt diver did enjoy the scene πŸ˜‰

In case you don’t know the title/episode of the TV show:

IMDB-link

IMDB lists this one as episode 34 of season 3. My information is that is episode 20.

But whatever is correct the title of the episode on IMDB is correct!

P.S.:

S.O.S. Barracuda TV airing!!!

[last updated: January 24]

In late December I made a post on this cool forum:

https://www.underwaterclipsource.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=37572

….and it’s about time that I post here about in the page as well!

I posted this on the forum on December 29:

Hopefully you know my post about an episode from S.O.S. Barracuda which includes something VERY, VERY, VERY RARE…..
https://frogwoman.org/female-scuba-diver … -barracuda

S.O.S. Barracuda is a german series consisting out of 8 movies made from 1997 to 2002.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1169951
During the summer of 2018 I heard that there was a rather fantastic scene (with some flaws) in one of the movies.
But I thought I would probably never see it. These movies weren’t shown since the early 2000’s in german TV and there are no DVD/Blu-ray releases.
Then I made a request for it on my blog.
I was very lucky to get videos files from a friendly guy who read my request about these movies.

I subscribed to an email-alert that I would get if these movies ever would be shown again here in german TV.
Since, as I said, the movies weren’t shown for over 15 years….I had very little hope that they would ever be shown again.
But yesterday I got such an email alert….. :!: :!: :!: :!: …I was quite shocked….in a good way
On January 23 a first movie of that show is shown on “RTL Passion” (german pay TV).
Oddly enough they show movie number 3…at first. :?:
At my place where I have cable….I can’t get that channel, even I would want to.

I would love to get recordings of all 8 movies.
AS I understand only 2 or 3 have scuba content in it.
But I want all of them in a good quality.
Especially that one with the epic scuba drowning!!!!
Hopefully the channel will show all of them….

I will try to figure out if there is a way in which I could get these movies in nice quality files.
Has anyone experience in recording from a TV airing? In a way that you would have a quality file on the computer afterwards?
I have a digital recorder which I use to record movies all the time. But they are then on that recorder and can’t be moved to anywhere else.
I also have an older recorder with DVD drive, which I could use to get it to the computer….but as I said, I can’t get that channel so….both recorders are not an option in this case.
Perhaps getting it from a streaming site would be an option…

I hope someone here can help with advice!
Or perhaps even record these movies…

——-

*EDIT* January 24th:

All issues have been figured out and I got the first one, check out the new post from January 24 for the scenes from the first movie.

You can find the answers I got in the forum itself as I don’t want the made this post too long.

Well, I really hope that they will air all these 8 movies, especially the ones with female scuba content off course….

Will keep you updated!

The frogwoman and the gill man

[2nd post for today]

Time for some scenes from a movie that is more than 65 years old!

A “gill man” gets captured and placed into a big pool for study and to entertain the visitors of the aqua park.

A woman and a man use some high end scuba gear (for that time) to “train” him.

Of course the gil man gets interested in her and doesn’t want to be chained to the bottom of the pool πŸ˜‰

Preview:

And here is the video:

The frogwoman and the gill man

(on google drive)

Posted it on Youtube, but it was blocked right away….

These full face scuba masks with radio must have been very high end back in 1955.

But I haven’t seen these in other movies of the time. I guess they had some problems or were very expensive.

The scenes are very interesting even I wish the creature would have wrestled a little longer with her….perhaps even grabing for her scuba mask or air hose.

However it was good to have some scuba peril in this one. Surely one of the earliest scenes like that in (movie-) history.

Wanna know from which movie this is?
