Frogwoman Rachel in “RAF Oxygen Mask” – [40th video of Project F – 6th video shoot]

So, it’s time for the next “Project F” video of the last video shoot from August!

This is video 40, the fourth from the 6th video shoot.

In this video, Frogwoman Rachel wants to try an RAF oxygen mask… underwater! (RAF = Royal Air Force)

Well, these oxygen masks are not designed to work underwater… but this one really does (with some limitations)!

I am pretty sure that most of you know that mask… yeah, it’s the same type that was used in my favorite movie “Thunderball“!

Video contains:

1 frogwoman, neoprene, 1 smooth skin wetsuit, RAF oxygen mask, vintage scuba gear,

RAF soft helmet, no fins, neoprene socks, corrugated oxygen hose, vintage regulator

Lethal or non-lethal ending for at least one of them?

Spoiler title
Non-lethal

Background info:

Well, it wasn’t a surprise to me that the mask is working underwater as I tried that myself at the first video shoot back in 2021.

But of course, I wanted this mask to get used by one of the frogwomen as well, and finally, it was time for that!

I am just filming at the start of the video, the rest was done by Rachel herself.

She did a great job adjusting to the whole gear, which wasn’t so easy to handle.

She had to wear the RAF soft helmet (cloth) so the mask could be mounted onto it.

The goggles were slightly problematic as they weren’t a great fit for her and sometimes water would leak into them, which you can see in the video.

Perhaps I should have used fully transparent goggles… but I do like these black ones which give her a special look.

The mask wasn’t a perfect fit for her face as these masks are (mostly) designed for wider (male) faces.

That’s why you can also see air bubbles escaping the mask from her nasal bridge.

This oxygen mask actually has an exhale valve mounted on the bottom-middle, and that is why it works pretty well underwater.

Yeah, the breathing isn’t very comfortable but easy enough.

One big problem is the pressure equalization as you can’t really pinch your nose while wearing the mask.

The green rubber is flexible enough but not the hard black-colored part above.

But luckily that isn’t a problem for Rachel as she doesn’t need to pinch her nose to equalize the pressure (plus she wasn’t very deep in the first place).

Also, her intake air hose was leaking precious oxygen (picture 3) so, there is a tiny perilous element involved in this clip 😉

I guess the clamp at the first stage wasn’t 100% tightened in this case

So, why was Frogwoman Rachel testing that mask underwater in this scenario? Just curiosity?

Was she preparing for a special job? A job that would involve a plane with atomic bombs on the sea floor?

Somehow sounds like a scenario from my favorite movie! Hmh… what a coincidence!?! 😉

Would certainly love to make more videos in the future with that gear….

Oh, and you can find 3 “guest stars” in the video for some seconds… in the background.

…get the video any time you want (on November 6 and afterward):

https://frogwoman.org/project-f-videos/project-f-video-packages

You can watch and download these videos in the VIP club, but only for personal use!

Don’t share them with anyone…. anywhere!

It’s pretty simple, I had to spend a lot of money:

All that scuba gear, location rent, and the money for the frogwomen and the safety diver.

If I don’t make enough money with these videos….. I won’t be able to make new videos at some point.

I hope you appreciate these videos and want to see more in the future!

After all, you get all those Project F videos each month  + additional content for just 12 euros (or even less per month if you get into the VIP club for more than one month).

I would say that is quite a bargain!

Why are my videos not on sites like Clip4sale?

Well, Clip4sale are a bunch of cutthroats that want 40%(!) of each video that you sell.

Yes, they offer those videos to a wide audience, but I don’t wanna give someone 40% for “just” providing the platform to sell the videos.

Also, that would mean that YOU would have to pay a lot more to get the videos…

I guess I could have made more money if my videos were on Clip4sale… but well, I won’t do it.

I will check out other sites like Vimeo though, if that would be an option or not.

The future of Project F?

I will release a new video from this video shoot every 2 weeks until 2024 is finished (this one today, and then 2 each month until the end of 2024)

I have at least 9 videos in total that will be released from this video shoot, so the rest of the year is covered with new releases 🙂

Early in 2025, I wanna have the next video shoot in that (deep) pool and then a lake video shoot in the summer (finally!!!).

So, there will be many more new videos for the VIP club for sure!

Frogwomen Eva, Meg, and Rachel in “Good VS Evil” – [39th video of Project F – 6th video shoot]

So, it’s time for the next “Project F” video of the last video shoot from last month!

This is video 39, the third from the 6th video shoot.

In this video, the leader of the evil female agents is still at large during a scuba battle.

The good gals will try everything to finally stop her!

(…sorry for the not-so-creative title )

2 hoods, 1 without hood, 1 with gloves, fins, scuba fight, scuba peril

Lethal or non-lethal ending for at least one of them?

Spoiler title
Non-lethal

Background info:

This is Frogwoman’s Eva debut in the Project F series.

She already has an incredible experience at scuba diving even at her young age.

She didn’t have any experience with the OTS Guardian FFM, but she quickly adapted to it as well.

You will see that frogwoman Rachel is using a certain special breathing apparatus that you should know…. 😉

Yeah, it’s a 3D-printed version of the one that Sean Connery (and his stunt double) used in Thunderball!

Spoiler alert: Much like the original… it isn’t actually working, but here in the scenario it certainly does!

So… Rachel is actually freediving while using it during the video shoot.

That meant that she had to return to the surface whenever her lungs were empty.

As it wasn’t used in video shoot 5… I finally wanted to build it into a video.

In combination with the red wetsuit, I wanted to have some… Jane Bond vibes 😉

Some day in the future I wanna have a full “Jane Bond VS Emilia Largo” fight… but I need some more gear and gadgets for that.

This video shoot was made at the end of the first “shift” and time was very limited due to some problems we had encountered earlier (new shift = (some) new frogwomen).

I wish there would have been more time for this one, but at least I did some re-takes of the ending.

The video got a little shorter than anticipated, but that way you get to see 2 alternative takes of the ending… and I am sure that you will like those as well!

Frogwomen Rachel, Lucy, and Alice in “Scuba Combat Training 7” (incl. 2nd camera on frogwoman) – [33rd video of Project F – 5th video shoot]

So, it’s time for the third “Project F” video in 2024!

This is video 33 and the third from the 5th video shoot.

In this video, Rachel, Lucy, and Alice are testing their scuba combat skills in 5 rounds of scuba action!

Yeah, I know… I already made several videos with this scenario in the past, but this one is… very special 🙂

For the first time in my Project F, a second camera was used to film from a POV perspective of one of the frogwomen.

So… actually, you will get 2 videos (A + B) here! Ok, they show the same action… but from two different perspectives!

In video 33A you will have the normal perspective from the camera that I used as I filmed the action.

In video 33B you will have the special perspective from one of the frogwomen with a camera that was mounted on them!

That means that you will get very close to the other frogwoman and that you will hear the breathing of each frogwoman much better than before.

You might wanna consider which video to watch first 😉

Frogwomen Rachel, Lucy, and Alice in “Scuba Combat Training 7” (incl. 2nd camera on frogwoman!)

1080p, 3:50(A), and 3:43 (B) minutes … 7:33 minutes in total

Rachel is participating in all 5 rounds, Lucy in rounds 1-3, and Alice in rounds 4-5

2nd camera is mounted on Lucy’s head in rounds 1 and 2, and on Rachel’s chest in rounds 3-5

Video contains:

3 frogwomen, neoprene, 3 smooth skin wetsuits, scuba peril, scuba fight, modern scuba gear,

2 hood, fins, fin removal, regulator stealing, 2nd camera mounted on frogwoman as POV camera

Lethal or non-lethal ending for at least one of them?

Well, it’s a training scenario….

Background info:

I invested the money to buy a second GoPro before the last video shoot as I wanted to use 2 cameras simultaneously in a video.

Especially I wanted to test how it would look (and sound) when you would mount a camera on one of the frogwomen during the fight.

In rounds 1 and 2 I tested the head mount as the camera was strapped to Lucy’s head in these two.

I don’t know how I came up with the brilliant idea to mount it on her hood instead of under it… 😆 #fail

It doesn’t look good filmed from the view of the main camera and also the camera can be dislocated unintentionally… as you can see at the end of round 2 😉

However, I think that this camera angle might be the better one in comparison as it follows the head movement of the frogwoman.

In rounds 3 to 5 we had the camera mounted/strapped on the chest of Rachel where it was blended in well with her black suit.

Certainly an interesting perspective as well, even that doesn’t follow her.

In video 33B you will sometimes see Alice (as safety diver) or myself (with camera) in the background.

I thought about cutting out these parts or blurring the two of us… but I think it’s better to leave that unedited.

I added the info with the round number for the length of both videos so it would be easier to know which round is currently running.

Especially in comparison with videos A and B.

In the future, I might also try a video where 2 cameras are mounted on one frogwoman…

…and then I could use the best footage from each camera for a video that is completely shown from her perspective.

Frogwoman Lucy and Freedivers Rachel and Alice in “The Trap” – [31st video of Project F – 5th video shoot]

So, it’s time for the first new “Project F” video in 2024!

This is video 31 and the first from the 5th video shoot.

In this video, Frogwoman Lucy wants to test some new scuba gear in the deep pool!

Rachel and Alice are also there to train their freediving skills and they have a sinister plan in mind… What will happen?

Spoiler title
Lethal

(will add such info on the other videos as well in the next weeks)

Background info (without spoiler):

I think the video turned out pretty good and has a lot of aspects I really love and you hopefully will love as well!

Frogwoman Lucy got the new Elios wetsuit I got some weeks before the video shoot.

I think it looks quite spectacular! You don’t see many red wetsuits as that color is a little “problematic” as I explained in the unboxing video.

As I am a huge Thunderball fan I love the red/orange wetsuits that Bond and the Navy diver wore in that movie.

And this wetsuit has a very interesting red that changes quite a bit with the overall lighting!

I really like scenes where Frogwomen film themselves as the camera is close by all the time and you don’t have any breathing sounds of me on it (when I am operating the camera).

Rachel and Alice are experienced Freedivers in real life so it was the best choice to let them play these roles in the video.

It’s the first video with Rachel in it! #debut

Lucy has only the limited scuba experience she has from the 4 (of 5) video shoots in which she participated but again, she performed really well!

From retro perspective, it would have been good to have done some more takes of some of the action scenes at the end with better instructions from me.

But, that is always the problem with very limited time. Perhaps I will add 1 or 2 hours to the next video shoot, even if that costs … even… more money.

This video is a good example of how continuity errors find their way in movies and videos as you may already see in the pictures above.

Lucy did a first dive with the all-black mask but water got into it… so she got another mask to use in the video.

But I just didn’t think about the fact that meant that we had to re-shoot the surface scene as she there had the all-black scuba mask…. yeah, not my best moment.

In the video, I built in two short explanations for gear changes as I think that was the best way to now deal with them so they are not a problem.

Also… an extra thanks to Rachel and Alice as they brought their own freediving fins to the video shoot! (they got a little extra for that)

I do have several pairs of normal scuba fins…. but no long freediving fins in my gear collection…. so far.

Something new for the next video shoot… [Unboxing video]

I posted about this video last week on the VIP club, now it’s time to move it to the regular blog!

For the next video shoot in early March, I got something new:

(the video is unlisted on my YouTube channel since it doesn’t show any frogwomen)

Sorry for the minor audio issues, I was a little sick in the days before…

More gear of Project F here:

https://frogwoman.org/project-f/project-f-scuba-gearwanted-scuba-gear

It’s not easy to get a fully red (smooth skin) wetsuit since that color is the first one that “vanishes” underwater at some meters depth already (without extra lighting):

But that won’t be a problem in the pool, even if it’s a deep one with up to 4 meters… like in this case. 🙂

Even I am a little confused as I was thinking that red wetsuits would look like orange at a certain depth. (#Thunderball)

I wanna use that suit in a scenario where a frogwoman in red meets a frogwoman in black, I think that would look really good in contrast.

Especially as it reminds me of the wetsuit color pattern from a certain movie 😉

Even the suits of the good guys mostly appear to look orange underwater…depending on depth and lighting.

The suit is quite thin with 1,5mm.

Here is a picture of the suit from the Elios website (edited):

An interesting color, looks very “normal” red here with certain lighting it looks like a mixture between red and pink.

Looking forward to using that suit in the next video shoot!

Frogwomen Lucy and Tessie in “Scuba Combat Training 5” – [28th video of Project F – 4th video shoot]

So, it’s time for a new “Project F” video!

This is video 28 and the fourth from the 4th video shoot.

A little early (Friday instead of Sunday) as I am mostly away on the weekend.

In this video, Frogwomen Lucy and newcomer Tessie are training their scuba combat skills so they are always ready for a mission.

It’s Tessie’s first appearance in a “Project F” video!

Info: The training has 4 rounds. That means that 4 times one of them forces the other one to the surface.

Video contains:

2 frogwomen, neoprene, 2 smooth skin wetsuits, 1 (of them is a) vintage-style beavertail wetsuit, double hose regulator, scuba peril, scuba fight, some modern scuba gear,

hoods (2 of 2), fins, mask flooding/ripping, regulator stealing, air hose squeezed shut, leg scissors

Lethal or non-lethal ending?

It’s a combat training scenario…

Background info (without spoiler):

Tessie was the safety diver for most of the day but also debuted in front of the camera in this video.

She has some scuba certificates and plenty of scuba experience already at a rather young age.

So, it was pretty difficult for Lucy to force Tessie to the surface in this training scenario 😉

In comparison to modern regulators, the 60-year-old Royal Mistral double hose regulator is less comfortable when it comes to breathing and handling but Lucy adapted to it quickly.

The mouthpiece of the Royal Mistral got slightly damaged during this video… more on that in the VIP section.

Luckily nothing that would prevent any further usage (no big repairs needed).

Tessie came up with some nice extra elements like the fin pulling and the leg scissors and both did a really good job!

My favorite element was the scene where Tessie squeezed the corrugated air hose of Lucy, thereby minimizing the airflow for her.

That is another great aspect about these double hose regulators… more options 🙂

Frogwomen Kara and Lucy in “Scuba Combat Training 4” – [25th video of Project F – 4th video shoot]

So, it’s time for a new “Project F” video!

This is video 25 and the first from the 4th video shoot…. and the longest one in the VIP club yet!

In this video, Frogwomen Lucy and Kara are training their scuba combat skills so they are always ready for a mission.

Lethal or non-lethal ending for at least one of them?

Well… it’s a training scenario. They “just” force each other to the surface.

Background info:

I really like to make these videos of the “Scuba Combat Training” series. They are easy to do and you can quickly film them.

Also, I only provide some basics of what to do (like going for masks/regulators) ….and the rest is totally up to the frogwomen.

So, it’s always a surprise to me as well what will happen in the end 🙂

This time the two frogwomen came up with the idea that they could start with a sort of “lurking” phase where they would swim around and then would attack each other at the right moment.

I like the idea as it builds up some suspense, and the video gets a little longer as well…

Frogwoman Lucy was wearing the new silver-grey Elios vintage style beavertail wetsuit that I got some weeks ago and a new white Aqualung mask that I got for a really low price by chance.

It looks really good in my opinion and will surely be used in the future as well.

Both were wearing Omer smooth-skin neoprene socks that look much better than the usual ones. And they are also more comfortable in the fins as they are thicker.

Frogwoman Kara was wearing the Orca Openwater suit and a new Seac mask with a wider viewing field.

As I mentioned in the past both have only the scuba experience that they got from the video shoots.

But they both are really comfortable with the gear now and the fact that the two are friends in real life is a big advantage as well.

It’s not always easy to be in the right spot with the camera as I can only guess how they will move around in all directions.

Once in this video, I was in an unfortunate position in the end… but well… it’s always a bit of luck involved, and most of the time I think it worked out fine.

Glad that we had some sunshine here as the sun showed up during the filming.

After all, you get all those Project F videos each month + additional content for just 12 euros (or even less per month if you get into the VIP club for more than one month).

I would say that is quite a bargain!

Also, I do hope that the amount of VIP club members will be higher with the current price as it would be with a higher price.

The rotation periods for each video will get a little longer though. When a video leaves the VIP club it will be out for at least 4 months.

But still, there will be 5-6 Project F videos in it each month.

Frogwomen Alice and Caity in “Scuba Combat Training 1” (Full Face Mask edition) – [18th video of Project F – 3rd video shoot]

So, it’s time for the first video of the 3rd video shoot of “Project F”!

In this video, Frogwomen Alice and Caity are practicing their scuba combat skills in Full Face Masks.

There are 4 rounds in this video and they swap the FFMs after the second round.

Caity starts with the modern OTS Guardian and Alice with the vintage Technisub mask.

+ a short teaser:

Video contains:

2 frogwomen, neoprene, 2 smooth skin wetsuits, scuba peril, scuba fight, modern scuba gear, vintage scuba gear, double hose regulator, vintage FFM, modern FFM

2 hoods, fins, tank valve closing, forcing each other to the surface

Lethal or non-lethal ending for at least one of them?

Well, it’s a training scenario….

Background info:

This scuba combat training scenario is a good scenario to film in between the more complicated ones.

The two only got very few instructions so it didn’t take long to film this, which leaves more time for other scenarios.

Both Frogwomen here are experienced divers with over 50 dives (Caity) and over 120 dives (Alice), so this is the video with the most experienced divers so far in this Project.

For Caity, it was her first video shoot, and for Alice her second with Project F as she was in the very first one as well.

As you may know, I’m a big fan of the Technisub FFM and it’s the first time here it was used in a scuba fight video (in this Project).

Both frogwomen mentioned that it is rather hard to breathe in it, especially in comparison to the OTS Guardian.

Well, I wasn’t surprised, as the Technisub mask is around 60 years old…. the modern OTS Guardian has far more comfort to offer.

The OTS Guardian was used for the first time here as I bought it some weeks ago. A rather big investment (even if I bought a used one), but I think the mask looks great 🙂

The Elios suit is one of my favorites, but I really like the Cressi Free Lady suit as well… the black/silver-grey combo looks awesome in my opinion.

I was lucky to get one for a reasonable price, even if it is size S. Now I found the right frogwoman for it, Caity fits into it perfectly.

One “problem” with these FFMs is that they limit the possibilities in a scuba fight. It’s not possible to just yank them off easily like a normal scuba mask or a regulator.

Both are strapped tightly on the face and to pull such a mask off an opponent is rather complicated… maybe we will try that in the future.

The way Alice defeated Caity in round 2 was fully improvised by Alice, it was a fun idea, rather unconventional 😆

The OTS Guardian has a valve to breathe “fresh” air when you are on the surface… we will need to test that feature the next time underwater when an enemy diver opens it 😉

For the first time, frogwomen are wearing gloves in a Project F video.

*EDIT* February 16:

You will now find a second version of this video as well in the VIP Club.

Same video footage but with added music and sound effects from the cult video game “Streetfighter 2” 😉

….just a BONUS for the VIP club members, doesn’t count as an official video!

Editing:

I used some filters (10% more brightness in gamma and gain, text).

Where to watch it?

The video will be available again in the VIP club in November alongside the other content!

You can watch and download these videos in the VIP club, but only for personal use!

Don’t share them with anyone…. anywhere!

It’s pretty simple, I had to spend a lot of money:

All that scuba gear, location rent, and the money for the frogwomen and the safety diver.

Frogwomen Kara and Lucy in “Air hose play XL” [video 17XL of Project F – 2nd video shoot]

So, it’s time for the seventh video of the 2nd video shoot of “Project F”!

Sorry for the slight delay.

As mentioned in the previous posts the videos from that shoot will be pretty short, but action-packed as we tried some simple action scenarios.

Frogwoman Kara and Frogwoman Lucy wanna figure out who is the better underwater fighter. And there is only one way to find out 😉

This is the “XL version” incl. some interesting bloopers.

I made this as a little BONUS video since I planned to release only 1 new video in December.

The normal video 17 cut can be found here:

+ a short teaser (of the shorter version):

Video contains:

2 frogwomen, neoprene, 2 smooth skin wetsuits, scuba peril, scuba fight, some modern scuba gear, vintage double hose regulator, hoods (2 of 2), fins, air hose damage, regulator steal

Lethal or non-lethal ending for at least one of them?

Spoiler title
Non-lethal

Background info:

I think these extra scenes are interesting as they include some extra peril footage and as they are quite funny.

In the middle part (from 01:23 to 02:08) Lucy struggled with her arch-enemy: The sheath of her scuba knife! 😉

At first, we had strapped it to her upper arm in the hope it would look “cooler”, but it was very difficult to adjust it right and we were in a hurry.

Also, the mechanism that holds the knife in place on that sheath is a little tricky…

The other bonus material can be found around 02:30 as Lucy tries to cut the air hose… which is not as easy as it looks in the movies 😉

She pulled hard on Kara’s air hose so Kara lost the regulator for some seconds, interesting images… but I also wouldn’t include scenes like that in the “normal” cut of a video as that wasn’t supposed to happen and makes not much sense to let her retrieve it.

I don’t think I will make such an XL cut again in the future. But I might post such extra material in bonus videos.
