A female scuba diver runs out of air and then gets stuck in a net!

This one is a classic that is somehow missing on this site.

Really weird, I was sure it was already here… seemingly it got lost at some point? Hard to say…

However, it’s certainly a memorable scuba scene… as it is great and bad at the same time.

Puh… let’s start with the bad things…

That air loss on her inflator is really minimal; that is next to nothing. It’s hilarious how fast it empties her tank… completely insane.

Why doesn’t she check her tank gauge before she is empty?

Why does she never spot the stream of bubbles escaping her inflator hose?

Why isn’t he away from her? #buddysystem

Why does she react so calmly after she runs out of air? Looks almost bored at first 😆

Why doesn’t she ascend immediately after realizing that he isn’t around? #precioustime

As she finally ascends, she is suddenly tangled up in a net with just the clap of one fin. WTF?

Why can’t she get it untangled? She should be fit enough to reach it…

Why doesn’t she have a knife or any cutting tool?

She could easily get out of that fin with her foot and then ascend…

He arrives… and instead of giving her air, he starts to cut the net… WHAT?!?!? 

 

Yeah, that’s quite a LOT… but still it’s (also) a great scene!

She really provides some convincing facial expressions as she is without air. Good job!

The scene is from a horror movie; perhaps that’s why they really pushed for some “extreme” facial expressions.

That makes the scene really stand out against many other “trapped underwater and out of air” scenarios, despite all the flaws.

I don’t know if her gear was actually sabotaged or not…

Female scuba diver investigates the sea floor after a scuba “accident” [movie scene]

Time to finally post about this scene!

I always wanted to watch this rare movie (28 votes on IMDB), but never had the chance (until today!)

I do have this scuba scene from it!

I don’t know if there is more in that movie… but it surely sounds like it from the description on IMDB 😉

Hopefully I can watch the whole movie someday….

*EDIT* Well, that chance came much sooner than I anticipated…

Just as I wanted to upload this … I found out the whole movie was uploaded on YouTube just 4 days earlier…. crazy coincidence! 

I was looking for this one for ages… and now I just popped up.

So I made a new video with better picture quality… and had to change some text below.

She investigates after her grandfather mysteriously drowned nearby some days earlier.

From the description (check the link below), it sounds like an eco-thriller.

Yeah, no peril here, but a nice dive with close-ups and surface scenes before and after the dive.

From the story, you could easily build in a scene where she discovers something underwater that she shouldn’t have…

…and then the bad guys would want her to have an “accident” on her next dive 😉

But ok, that maybe just my fantasy 😆

Certainly, the chance for more scuba scenes in this movie seems quite high.

Ok, I checked the whole movie by now:

The movie starts promising, very similar to my idea above: Her grandfather goes on a solo dive, discovers 3 scuba divers do shady things with some plants near a mysterious yacht.

He makes pictures of them, and they don’t realize that he is there.

The bad guys on the yacht make him out on a gadget and send 2 more divers down there!

They attack him from behind and drown him by stealing his mask and regulator…

Then you have the scene above with her.

But then you have more than 2,5 hours of movie left (3 hours in total)… and there is no more scuba action at all!

(besides some guy diving around for a minute)

DAMN! WHYYYYY? Great start… but then they had seemingly blasted all the scuba budget on those 2 scenes.

I know… those scenes are costly, but still quite a let down after such a start.

However, I am grateful for these 2 scenes 🙂

A female bomb squad leader with gas mask in several scenes

No scuba scene for today… but a woman with another sort of breathing device is in the center of several scenes.

This one was recommended to me, thanks again for that, and I watched the whole season with 6 episodes.

In this video, I combine scenes from 3 episodes of a TV show.

In the first scene, there is actually gas that fills a car close by, in which a guy was held prisoner.

I really like the setup with the gas masks in the third scene, which are connected to oxygen bottles.

Sadly, only one woman there, and she was around 60, so not exactly a hottie 😉

It would have been great to have a sexy woman in a nice outfit in that setup.

Interestingly, the dwindling air reserves are not their main problem, as these three have been poisoned and die even if they get rescued from the bombs they are sitting on.

The gas mask looks great on the lead of the show.

I just wish she had gotten into some real peril while wearing it.

Especially a fight vs the villain with both wearing gas masks… would have been awesome.

And they would then try to unmask each other…. with some gas in the room.

2 Female scuba divers on 2 wreck dives, incl. a peril scene

The female diver from video 1 actually gets murdered, but on dry land.

Damn, with her solo dive… that could have been done differently 😉

It’s nice that the sabotage on her tank gets shown beforehand.

Don’t know if it was planned that she would take that specific tank… perhaps it was just bad luck.

However, the sabotage was quite “unsuccessful”. She stayed calm, and her dive buddy was close by (as he should be), so she could buddy breath with him and ascend safely.

So, the sabotage didn’t work out. Maybe he should have sabotaged both of their tanks… or maybe it wasn’t planned that he would be diving with her?

Maybe I should watch the whole thing at one point….

The hood of the female diver in the 2nd video was way too big for her, too much of her face was covered by it… which is a problem, as the mask has to be in place 100% (on the skin).

This way, the hood could easily get in the way, and her mask could easily flood.

All in all, some nice new scuba scenes 🙂
