The episode title “Der Schwarze Hai” (the black shark) is a nice reference to “Der weiße Hai” (the white shark) which is the German title of the blockbuster “Jaws”.

It’s pretty simple, I had to spend a lot of money:
All that scuba gear, location rent, and the money for the frogwomen and the safety diver.
If I don’t make enough money with these videos….. I won’t be able to make new videos at some point.
I hope you appreciate these videos and want to see more in the future!
After all, you get all those Project F videos each month + additional content for just 12 euros (or even less per month if you get into the VIP club for more than one month).
I would say that is quite a bargain!
Why are my videos not on sites like Clip4sale?
Well, Clip4sale are a bunch of cutthroats that want 40%(!) of each video that you sell.
Yes, they offer those videos to a wide audience, but I don’t wanna give someone 40% for “just” providing the platform to sell the videos.
Also, that would mean that YOU would have to pay a lot more to get the videos…
I guess I could have made more money if my videos were on Clip4sale… but well, I won’t do it.
I will check out other sites like Vimeo though, if that would be an option or not.

The future of Project F?
I will release a new video from this video shoot every 2 weeks until 2024 is finished (this one today, and then 2 each month until the end of 2024)
I have at least 9 videos in total that will be released from this video shoot, so the rest of the year is covered with new releases 🙂
Maybe a good idea to now get a 6 month VIP club membership to get all those new videos (plus nearly every earlier release) 😉
Early in 2025, I wanna have the next video shoot in that (deep) pool and then a lake video shoot in the summer (finally!!!).
So, there will be many more new videos for the VIP club for sure!
So, for now, a quick post about the video shoot for Project F that happened yesterday.
As I mentioned… 4 participants were, and 2 of them debuted in their first Project F videos.
2 women (friends …and it was their idea) shared the role of the safety diver and made appearances in some videos as well.
So, in total there are 6 different frogwomen in the videos…. and 3 of them debuted in Project F videos!
And having 2 persons for “behind the camera” was very helpful as one of them always could help with the gear outside the pool while the other one was the safety diver.
That saved quite some time here and there… even though it was more expensive … as I gave them more than one would have usually got.
After the first half of the shooting, I was a little frustrated as some of the vintage gear had malfunctioned or didn’t work as planned.
For example, it was planned that one of the frogwomen would wear the vintage Interspiro FFM, but the mask was just too wide for her face.
Some technical difficulties took some time and after half of the shooting “only” 3 videos were finished (instead of the initially planned 5).
At the start, we already had lost some time as the 2 safety divers were late, thanks to the Deutsche Bahn (German railway).
Luckily the second half of the video shoot went a lot smoother and we finished quite a lot of videos.
Even the weather was better than initially predicted and some sun was there for nice lighting here and there.
So in the end I was quite happy … and exhausted as hell.
*EDIT* August 20:
So, I check the footage of both cameras.
I stumbled upon two (small/medium) issues:
One clip (2 minutes) with a camera in ego perspective was filmed vertically instead of horizontally. I guess the frogwoman didn’t align the camera correctly when the recording started.
My bad, should have told her about it.
But that can be corrected with a little effort.
One clip has no audio at all, complete silence! I don’t have the slightest clue how that happened since the camera was just started with recording and it was off before.
Such a thing never happened before… and all other clips have audio.
Really odd… But ok, seems that a good part of one video will then have no underwater audio… guess I will put some fitting music over it so there isn’t a complete mute part.
But besides that, I can tell that there will be at least(!) 9 videos in total from that video shoot!
That means new Project F videos will be released every 2 weeks until the year is finished! (one in August, and then 2 each month until December).
The second half of the video shoot was really productive!
At one time I was even out of the water while 2 teams were filming with one camera each. So 2 videos were finished in about 15-20 minutes.
The first video of this video shoot is scheduled for next Sunday! So….stay tuned 😉
So, that title got long enough… just a quick post for this week:
1) Project F video shoots
As you may have already read in yesterday’s update in the post from August 1… I canceled the video shoot in the lake that was planned for today.
It is rather cold for early August… and more importantly… there are tons of clouds. Not the conditions where I wanna spend several hundred Euros to make a video shoot.
I need some solid sunlight for the lighting.
That means the next video shoot will be the long-planned 9-hour video shoot in the pool in 2 weeks (August 18).
I think I will make a new attempt at a video shoot in the lake in 4 weeks (September 1).
If I can get enough participants on that date, the weather is at least average and the lake is still warm enough.

2) New gear for the next video shoot on August 18
I’m still on the lookout for new scuba gear. Do you have any ideas …wishes?
I am thinking about getting a spear gun… even if it wouldn’t be fired, basically just for “show”.
Always on the lookout for sexy new wetsuits… especially with smooth skin, that makes it look like rubber.
But right now I find it hard to find a suit that brings really something new to the collection… a suit that isn’t too similar to the ones I have already and that looks great.
Perhaps a (darker) blue smooth-skin wetsuit would be a great addition.
But it’s hard to find one that looks good, isn’t too expensive (up to around 200 Euro), and is available in the EU if possible. (no custom fees and faster transport)
As an example I often buy new gear …here… (and on Ebay).
