Scuba villainess VS female police diver! [Scuba fight][Blog exclusive]

Thanks to the guy who recommended me this one!

The description of this scene sounds too good…

An evil female diver is sending top-secret info to a foreign government. A female detective is on her trail and we have the final showdown between those two in a scuba fight!

That sounds like a story that I would have written 😉

Let’s check out the scene and see if it can live up to the promise….

And here is the video:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1scpXSOW2y4_LYZyqfm15Vc4zeDtoVDra/view?usp=sharing

(EDIT October 17: Video was blocked…. had to move it)

Watch the video before you continue!

I wanted to show both in their wetsuits on dry land and build in short scenes with both of them prior to the underwater fight.

I cut out some surface scenes as they slow down the action.

A little confused by the video? (It helps to watch the scene several times)

Let me summarize the action:

The villainess is sending top-secret data via that computer thingy.

Meanwhile the “good guys” arrive on top and check out the boat of the villainess, the villainess knows that as she has cameras on board.

The villainess hides and waits for the detective to arrive.

Her knife attack fails and the detective yanks out her regulator.

She puts it back and attacks a second time with her knife.

The detective manages to close the air valve of the villainess who retreats then.

Hmh, let’s start with the positive aspects in my opinion:

We have some good moves like stealing a regulator and closing the tank valve. Plus there is a scuba knife involved, even if it is quite tiny.

Also some (weird) yanking on the strap(!) of a scuba mask. Very unusual, never seen that in a movie or TV show!

It’s good that they have some different colors on their scuba gear so you can tell who is who. Nothing I should mention as a positive aspect, but that isn’t something that can be taken for granted as some movies/TV shows demonstrate.

Now to the bad aspects…

The background music may be ok as long there is no action. But as the scuba fight starts the music doesn’t react at all to it, completely lame snooze music.

That is totally bizarre as the music is supposed to underline what is happening on screen. The music/sound department screwed up here big time 😆

You can actually see a safety diver/cameraman in the background several times during the underwater action…. that isn’t supposed to happen 😉

As the villainess attacks, the “good” diver has suddenly no regulator in her mouth but a tube of some sort!?! WTF?! (at 02:54)

The yanking on the strap of the scuba mask of the detective is a nice aspect, but why can’t she get her scuba mask off in the process? Come on, that is quite easy then.

The whole action is mostly quite weird as they don’t control each other’s arms but just hold onto each other for most of the time.

Their hands are free very often…they could easily go for the other one’s mask or regulator, but they don’t… they are holding back a lot.

It’s a little weird that the villainess gives up like that.

Yeah, her air was turned off, but that isn’t a problem since the detective isn’t following her.

She could easily turn it back on and attack again. But I guess she was demoralized after she lost twice times against her.

Well, if you take the description the actual video is a little disappointing if you consider all aspects.

But it certainly delivers a pretty long scuba fight between two frogwomen, so that is already a great thing! 🙂

Yeah, many things could be improved here… but is certainly is a remarkable scene.

After all, there aren’t exactly many female scuba fights to be found in movies.

Fun facts:

The villainess works for the “evil” Americans while the detective works for the “good” Chinese.

Looks like this Chinese TV show has some propaganda messages in this one 😉

Wanna know from which movies this is?

Don’t have an IMDB link since it is a Chinese TV show, but here is the title:

谍战深海 aka “Ocean espionage_spy war deep sea”

What do you think of that scuba fight?

Frogwomen Ruby and Lucy in “Treasure hunt” [13th video of Project F – 2nd video shoot]

So, it’s time for the second video of the 2nd video shoot of “Project F”!

Also, the video premiere of Frogwoman Ruby!

Sorry for the delay! Some logistical problems had to be solved first…

As I mentioned in the previous post, the videos from that shoot will be pretty short, but action-packed, as we tried some simple action scenarios.

Frogwomen Ruby and Lucy in “Treasure hunt”, 1080p, 60 frames, 2:57 minutes

Some preview pictures:

+ a short teaser:

Video contains:

2 frogwomen, neoprene, 2 smooth skin wetsuits, scuba peril, scuba fight, modern scuba gear,

2 hoods, fins, regulator stealing, fight over treasure

Lethal or non-lethal ending for at least one of them?

Spoiler title
Non-lethal

Background info:

This is the first video with Frogwoman Ruby in action! And she did a fine job without any prior scuba experience. She used to play underwater rugby in the past for a while and that may be the reason why she is pretty fearless and was a good match for Frogwoman Lucy. 🙂

She also had no problems

Spoiler title
with Lucy closing the air valve on her tank (we tested it once on the surface).

Sometimes it wasn’t easy for me to keep up with the two, as they made good use of the space they had in that deep pool as they swam at a pretty high pace.

At the beginning of the video (before the fight), you will notice

Spoiler title
blue bars over certain small areas of the screen (for about 20 seconds in total).

Sorry for that, but the frogwomen are visible all the time, so it’s not such a big issue. I had to do it since the security diver was visible in these parts of the video and …..well…. he wasn’t supposed to be visible 😉 A mistake that won’t happen again.

I was glad that I could use the stunning Cressi Triton suit this time, and it looked great on Ruby. Perhaps I will buy that suit again in M or L.

I found it as a real bargain (in comparison to its normal price) in size S. But that suit is too small for most women …in this size…

For a test video that has basically no script, I am really happy with the result. It was a good test to see how the Frogwomen would handle such a fight scene and react to certain aspects.

Certainly wanna use that “fight over treasure” scenario in the future again, but then with a detailed script (incl. storyline), and a proper ending.

Fun facts:

Check out how Ruby is clearing her mask in the background as Lucy has found the gold coin.

The gold coin was a standard Greek coin (from before they got the Euro as well).

Editing:

I used some filters (10% more brightness in gamma and gain, text).

As I mentioned before, the audio here was challenging, with a sound the camera picked up from the pool machinery.

So far, I haven’t figured out how to suppress that sound without damaging the “wanted” audio. But well, it isn’t really a big issue here as the 3 regulators here make a lot of noise so that background noise isn’t really distracting (as you can hear in the preview teaser video above).

Where to watch it?

It’s not available in the VIP Club anymore (as videos from Video shot 8 came in).

Get the video any time you want in a video package:

You can download these videos, but only for your personal use.

Don’t share them with anyone…. anywhere!

It’s pretty simple, I had to spend a lot of money:

All that scuba gear, location rent, and the money for the frogwomen….

If I don’t make enough money with these videos….. I won’t be able to make new videos at some point.

So…. I hope you appreciate these videos and want to see more in the future!

Frogwomen Kara and Lucy in “Scuba Spy” [12th video of Project F – 2nd video shoot]

Lethal or non-lethal ending for at least one of them?

Spoiler title
Non-Lethal

Background info:

I do know 2 movies/TV shows that have this “Diver takes pictures and gets attacked” scenario. James Bond in Thunderball and the frogwoman in the “Silk Stalkings” TV show.

And in the future, I wanna make a version with a detailed script where a frogwoman takes pictures of some secret stuff and gets attacked by an evil frogwoman who wants to stop her (and kill her).

For this video, I used only some basic instructions on what the two should and could do, and it was a one-shot without any re-shoots.

My camera was a little shaky in the first few seconds. I’m pretty new to the whole filming aspect, and it’s not easy to totally focus on the tiny camera screen when such a scene happens in real life right before you 😉

It was also not easy to follow these two with the camera, but I think it worked out quite well, even though it’s a bit of a challenge to move around in 3 dimensions and stay in a good position to the moving action.

I am very happy about how the 2 frogwomen (Kara + Lucy) did such an action scene underwater! I mean, the two have basically no scuba experience and only had that mini scuba session from the first video shoot back in December. I am glad they returned for another video shoot!

They were really brave and the scene worked out pretty fine in my opinion.

Frogwoman Lucy really likes to steal regulators and likes to be a scuba villainess 😉

We had only 5 hours to shoot, and a LOT of time was needed to assemble the gear and all that. And I wanted to get several quick scenarios done in that time to gain experience in shooting underwater action scenes.

I will write detailed scripts for the next shooting, as long as these videos generate enough money to cover at least the expenses.

Yeah, the video here is short, but it has a rather long scuba fight (90% of the runtime). In the end, most scuba fights in movies or TV shows are much shorter in the end.

With a detailed script, I wanna make a video with this scenario that will have at least 5 or 6 minutes.

But we made a 2nd version of this fight, I will post that in the next weeks as well.

Fun fact:

At first, the fight was supposed to be about the camera but that quickly floated out of sight and mind (can be seen on the surface in the last seconds).

Next time, I will need to add some weight to the camera 😉

2 guys, a submarine, a female diver, and a lot of sharks! [Blog exclusive]

About one month ago I made a post about a certain movie:

Now it’s finally time to post about the long finale of this flick!

2 guys, a submarine, a female diver, and a lot of sharks! [Blog exclusive]

(not on Youtube since I had bad experiences with this one on that platform)

Ok, let’s start with the positive aspects here for a change.

She looks gorgeous, her FFM is quite nice and the scene is pretty long.

It’s cool that she rescues the guys here and also distracts the shark from the one guy.

In terms of scuba peril, there isn’t that much as the possibilities are quite limited in an action scene with a shark.

My sharks in my movie would rather be trained to bite into the air hoses…instead of eating the divers 😆

I mean when you go for weird sharks that behave so weird, you could easily do that scenario as well 😉

The negative aspects here are primarily for me the bad CGI and the roaring sounds that these sharks make. That is so laughable!

Sharks can’t make such noises and they are trying to surprise their prey… and such a roaring would be really not helpful 😉

I mean that is like making a movie with goats and they would just start to fly around.

But well, it’s a fantasy movie after all, so… with sharks behaving like that.

Also, quite odd that they attack the sub but then stop and let the divers swim around without attacking them… are they on a break? 😉

But all in all a solid scene in my opinion.

Female diver gets chased by male diver

This one is a classic that I know for a while but somehow didn’t upload.

By now a fine HD quality is available… so this scene finally makes it to this blog.

Let’s check out the scene!

And here is the video:

You may already know what my problems with this scene are 😉

She looks great in her bikini, even though I would prefer a wetsuit.

It’s great to have him chasing her, but of course, I (and nearly everybody else) was looking forward to a nice scuba fight scene.

Yeah, that doesn’t happen 🙁

A shame she didn’t also have a knife and confronted him.

Many might say that it’s odd that she is able to outswim him as she manages to not only get away from him, there is quite some distance between them as she leaves the water.

But I can easily accept that a well-trained woman like her can outswim an average guy.

I don’t get why he waited so long to attack her and especially since he was drawing the knife as she was watching him. He wasted the moment of surprise.

I haven’t watched the whole episode (the 2nd part of a two-parter) and the scene on the boat quite confuses me.

She swims away from him just to go back onto their boat?

He throws the knife after her (deliberate miss?) and she is quite relaxed and didn’t even grab the knife that is next to her.

What happened? He was trying to kill her and she doesn’t seem to have a big problem with that!?

From what I saw the two really liked each other and he found out that she is actually a cop and has to kill her.

But well, seems like he isn’t so motivated to do that and she has no problem with him trying to kill her.

Quite odd……. maybe I will watch both episodes one day, but this way it’s all quite confusing!

However, we do have a hot frogwoman getting chased by another diver, which is still a rare thing….so, after all, I enjoy this scene, even though it has some flaws.

In my version, they would have fought underwater and only one would have returned to the surface. 😉

Wanna know from which episode this is?

IMDB-link

IMDB lists that 2-parter as one episode, which is quite confusing… after all, that episode would then be 90 minutes long.

2 female scuba diver, a wreck, and a shark! [Blog exclusive]

Well, I guess you know what might happen in that video….

This one is from a movie I know for quite a while and that was recommended at least by 2 folks over the years.

I posted about the first movie of the movie series in two posts:

Post 1

Post 2

This movie will be featured in (at least) one future post as well.

In this early scene of the movie, two women dive together into a wreck. But some shark is quite hungry…

And here is the video:

Video

Scenes from the first movie were blocked on Youtube back then and this is quite brutal (even you don’t see much) so I decided to post this one on Drive as well.

Well, for me the scene is ….ok. Some others may like it better than me… I guess.

The shark scenes where a real shark was filmed are good, the cheap prop they used for some closeups is really… cheap.

Yeah, I know the budget was small and CGI wasn’t really an option back in 2000…but the result just looks bad.

Also, the roaring sounds of the shark are just laughable! Reminds me of Tomb Raider 2 😉

What morons come up with such fantasy sounds?

The camera work during the attack is quite bad, most likely as they couldn’t show the prop shark for too long.

On the plus side, the dive equipment is solid and there are some intense perilous moments as the divers are quite “loud”.

Ok, for me that kind of peril isn’t exciting at all… but well, others may see that differently.

Also, I wonder why they didn’t have at least one or two minutes with these women on the surface with some dialogue lines.

I mean she gets chomped by that shark and we know nothing about her and didn’t hear one word from her. That way the audience doesn’t care too much about her.

The next scene that I will present in a future post is more interesting… at least for me.

The evil frogwoman strikes yet again…. in a DIFFERENT TV show! [2 scenes]

Hah, slightly confused by that title? 😉

This is a very interesting case and I’m sure you will find it very interesting!

This time without preview pictures as the post contains 4 videos (2 of them new to this blog).

THANKS a lot to the guy who mentioned that episode of this show. I am quite surprised I didn’t hear about it earlier.

Remember this epic scene?

This was my post from 2013:

https://frogwoman.org/the-frogwoman-strikes-again

Now check out this scene, which can be found in another TV show made 4 years later:

Hmh, somehow it looks quite similar….even there are no underwater shots in this one and she makes it to the ladder before she gets drowned.

The attacker is basically not shown here except for the hand in rubber that grabs onto her ankle.

It’s rather odd that the evil frogwoman is able to pull her down with ONE arm while she has to fight her own buoyancy.

I mean the other woman has a solid stand on the ladder and is holding onto it with both arms.

Guess the evil frogwoman has exercised a lot 😉

But this was only the beginning….. 😉

Remember the ultimate highlight of that TV episode with the evil frogwoman?

My original post from back then:

https://frogwoman.org/female-divers-attacks-man-pulling-lake-quality-upgrade-longer-cut

Now check out this scene, which can also be found in that TV show made 4 years later:

Well…. quite odd! They re-used the complete underwater footage here!!!

The scenario is exactly the same. The detective (Ben Gazzara!) wants to meet with a woman only to be attacked by a mysterious frogwoman in rubber!

But there are some differences (despite the different actors):

Here we actually see some very short scenes of the evil frogwoman above the water.

In the original, they fight underwater and suddenly….cut….and he is in a hospital. One of the worst cuts in the history of humankind! ARGHHHHH!

In this “remake” we see him pulling the obviously defeated frogwoman to the shore, with her mouthpiece in his hand!

But then…. I start yelling at the screen! AGAIN, they don’t show the villainess anymore except for some seconds where she is already covered in a blanket.

How bizarre is that? Why have they shown only so little of her??? I would have loved to see the defeated frogwoman in her wet rubber suit on the surface! Just add a dialogue there and show her!

The murderer is finally caught and she just vanishes without saying a word!

DAMN! Really frustrates me big time! That and that the moment of him overpowering her underwater isn’t shown properly.

However the flaws, that ending… in both versions…. in one of my all-time favorites!

It’s such a unique scenario. An evil frogwoman in rubber who wants to drown a guy in this scene ….and already did drown a woman earlier in the episode!

How often do you get that in a TV show or movie? Spoiler-Alert….Basically NEVER! 😉

Ok, it’s hard to say if the diver who actually did the diving during filming is actually a woman….since the underwater picture is rather dark… or if they used a male diver to double for the villainess.

However it is supposed to be a woman, that is 100% clear.

So, why the same scenario and the same underwater footage?

These episodes are from different TV shows but are basically identical as the script is nearly a copy (some slight changes).

With some quick research, I found out that both TV shows were made by the same company (Roncom Films) for the same network (NBC).

The earlier show is from 1964 and the “remake” is from 1968.

So they “just” re-used footage that they shoot some years earlier.

Quite bizarre that they just remade an entire episode just some years later in a different TV show.

Don’t know why they did it, perhaps they were just lazy and recycled the script 😆

In the original, the villainess is the secretary of the guy who was in love with the drowned woman from the beginning of the episode.

Here is a picture of the villainous redhead from the original (Fiona Volpe vibes):

Really a shame she wasn’t shown on the surface in her rubbery frogwoman suit. 🙁

In the remake, she is his personal physical therapist (and less attractive)…but that is already one of the biggest changes from the original to the remake.

I guess you might wanna know now from which TV show that remake is?

(IMDB says episode 22, my file says 23… look for the title of the episode)

The freezing frogwoman VS the certified maniac

I know this movie since it came out in 2015 and got the UK DVD back then (for some reason it wasn’t released on Bluray?).

It was recommended to me at least 6 or 7 times since then but I didn’t make a post until today.

Why? Well, I was unsure about what to post about this movie. If I would post every scene that is somehow (scuba and/or wetsuit) interesting to this blog… I would have to post at least 70% of the movie…. as here the main actress is in a wetsuit for basically the whole movie(!) except for some flashbacks and…

Spoiler title
…the very first and last minutes of the movie.

So, I decided now to focus on the scuba part of the movie and cut out some minutes where the villain is just starring down at the ice for loooooooong.

What happened before the video scenes?

Well, basically the woman realized that her husband is a murderous psycho and he wants to kill her.

He is a scuba instructor and has special plans for her after he drugged and kidnapped her…

Here is the video:

Watch the video before you continue!

Well, quite a sinister and crazy dude!

And that is just the part where she has her scuba tank… there is a lot more to come.

First, let’s start with some things I don’t like about this scene:

The whole aspect of how much air is in her tank is quite weird. Right before the video starts he empties her full tank from 3000 PSI down to 1000 PSI in a matter of seconds by sucking on the regulator and pushing the “air shower” (the translated german term) button on it. That would never ever work that fast. Plus why does he use the “air shower” button and has the regulator in his mouth? That wouldn’t work for long as someone can’t take in that much air. And it would take much longer than in the movie.

Plus the whole air pocket aspect. Is it possible that there is such a big air pocket on a lake under the ice? I mean the exhaled air from her tank would be there for sure, but that would be completely useless as this air is already “used. (*EDIT: My mistake)

In two takes the camera focuses on her depth instead of her gas gauge!

Well….why? I mean she is just under the ice the whole time and has only one way to go (up). The audience knows that, so why show it twice?

Perhaps, as the gauge is near zero… the movie makers confused it with the gas gauge?

Very odd….

And then the gas gauge very quickly goes from 1000 down to near zero in a matter of seconds! How is that possible? Or is that supposed to be a time-lapse?

However, there are a lot of positive aspects for me as well:

It’s quite a unique setting! I mean a guy who wants to drown a woman but puts a wetsuit and a scuba tank on her?

Certainly never seen that in any other movie….

The whole “running out of air” while the killer is just above her is very suspenseful!

The frogwoman is attractive and her wetsuit is quite nice. Of course, I would have preferred a black smooth skin wetsuit, but well, this way the heroine is very “flashy”.

And as the villain here is 100% evil and crazy… it’s a very intense survival scene…and that’s only the start for her.

About the whole movie:

There a very long takes of him just staring down at the ice. I mean the movie has only a length of about 70 minutes but it seems like they had to include a lot of overly long takes to even get to that length.

Plus his whole plan is kind of odd. I mean ok, he is crazy.

His whole plan for her is quite odd. I mean he certainly wants her to suffer before she dies.

He gives her a scuba tank but it is only one-third full.

So I guess he was “worried” that she might freeze to death before drowning? Even I can only guess how long someone could actually survive the ice-cold water, even with …an inappropriate… wetsuit on.

He gives her a wetsuit but that is only a little protection when the water temperature is around zero (celsius).

He straps the regulator to the back of the tank so she has to struggle a lot to even reach it.

Plus he is there on the ice but basically can’t see anything of her struggle, except some silhouettes and some air bubbles.

I guess he enjoys the whole situation big time, otherwise, he wouldn’t have come up with such a complicated scenario for her.

I am pretty sure that the screenwriter might have some aqua fetishes 😉

The flashbacks are interesting and important to the story, but too long for my taste and drag down the intensity a little.

I guess I will make a special cut of the whole movie where I cut out the flashbacks and overly long scenes of the villain doing nothing but starring for loooong takes.

But this movie is very much unique and very suspenseful, as I am cheering for her to find a way to get out of this horrible situation.

Yeah, this is a low-budget production and the acting isn’t always very good (especially the wooden villain) but certainly a very interesting scenario that you won’t find like this in any other movie.

Certainly, a movie that you should know and I can only recommend watching the whole thing!

Here are two posters of the movie (minus the title):

Very good motives in my opinion! Even the right one looks like bad CGI.

Here is the movie title:

Frogwoman VS 5 male divers! [aka How to totally ruin a great setting]

A nice guy recommended me a movie:

“…. and it involves one female diver against 4 male divers. The female diver also surfaces and fights men on a boat.”

Well, for a moment I was really thrilled! A female diver fights against 4 male divers??? Or even 5 if I’m counting right… Sounds great, sounds awesome!

But then I thought…. well, why don’t I know that scene after 900 years of searching for such scenes? And I got a really bad feeling…. 😉

Here is a preview:

And here is the video from hell:

Well….. OH MY GOD!!! Or rather… WTF!!!

Ok, you have a frogwoman heroine and several evil divers…. and they actually do fight underwater…. and THIS is the result of the filming?

ARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!

I’m not sure if I should laugh my ass off or break down in tears…. or both.

A perfect example of how to totally ruin potential great scenes 🙁

Some folks (not me) are complaining that the scuba battles in Thunderball are too long and “slow” as the water slows down the action.

I also remember that the director of the Thunderball remake “Never say never again” was also no fan of underwater fights.

So, perhaps the director of this “movie” thought about how he could make these fights more intense and with more speed (in his opinion).

And his solution was seemingly to just increase the playback speed… of many action scenes (even on land).

Well, the result is laughably bad… in my opinion… and totally ruins these scenes.

The murky water is also a problem and they seemingly had no underwater lights at all…

In the end, I can’t enjoy these underwater fights at all and am really annoyed afterward.

The wetsuit of the frogwoman is uninteresting and very loose… I guess so the actress/stunt woman could do her martial arts moves. Quite a turn-off.

I’m 99% sure that these scenes were partially cut, as we don’t see the first two frogmen get hit by the spear, but well…. cut or not cut… all hope is lost here.

Oddly enough a german DVD of this “movie” is released in a few days for very little money, guess I will buy that one for the scuba collection as a perfect example on how to NOT do a scuba fight scene.

There are no more scuba scenes with her in this one.
