Female scuba diver lost at sea

…and no, I am not talking about the movie “Open Water” 😉

We have a woman and a guy who dive around and get quite surprised when they resurface!

Not sure how realistic it is that it would drift away and then also drift away from sight completely in the matter of one dive.

But that’s not important.

All in all a nice perilous scene, even if the peril happens on the surface.

Interestingly the guy uses the regulator that normally is mounted on an Interspiro AGA full-face scuba mask.

Quite unusual.

Some really nice underwater footage is included.

If I would have filmed that scenario an evil frogwoman in black rubber would have sneaked onto the boat during their dive and would have stolen it to leave them to their fate.

Much cooler than the boat just drifting away 😉

Frogwomen Kara and Demi in “Scuba Spy 3” – [24th video of Project F – 3rd video shoot]

So, it’s time for the seventh video of the 3rd video shoot of “Project F”, the last one from that video shoot.

In this video, Agent Kara is taking pictures of a secret underwater base of Spectre (#some imagination required) and gets attacked by an evil frogwoman…

….and only ONE of them will survive!

Background info:

This one is a good example of how much I want and do not want to show here. I mentioned above that only one of them would survive the fight.

It would certainly be good for promo reasons to include a picture of the ending here.

But at the same time, I don’t want to fully spoil it by showing that… as you then would know who will win the fight.

So, I chose the middle way… maybe I will use a picture of the ending in a week or two, but not now.

This video was more difficult to make than the previous ones. We had a script and reshoot some scenes, especially the final one.

That also made the editing more complicated in comparison as well…. for some scenes.

In the end, I’m happy with the result! I made some notes on things that can be improved in the future.

The GoPro I use for filming is doing a good job… but it has one aspect that can be problematic:

As the camera is tiny… the screen is tiny as well, and that makes it pretty hard to see all the details, especially while filming underwater.

Kara and Demi did a fine job, especially considering how little scuba experience they have/had and that this scenario was quite challenging.

As a BONUS for you guys, I decided to also include a BONUS version with a lot of awesome music from Thunderball!

I hope you folks like that version as well and appreciate the effort, if not… just watch the “normal” version 😉

Now a minor spoiler, so don’t continue unless you have seen the video!

In the end scene, the regulator wasn’t supposed to exhaust bubbles, even as we repeated the scene several times, it always did… so just ignore these bubbles 😉

We could have closed the valve for the scene… but that was a little too risky as both had very little scuba experience.

Some chicks in vintage wetsuits, a moron, and a superheroine

This one was recommended to me once or twice over the years… and now it’s time to make a post about it.

We have a group of young folks with their scuba teacher, all in quite different vintage wetsuits.

One of them is a moron who likes to take big risks and gets into trouble underwater.

Luckily this show is about a certain superheroine…

Damn, I wish one of the women had been in the wetsuit that the guy was wearing.

But his girlfriend looks certainly good in her wetsuit as well!

A shame that the episode has basically no female scuba scenes in it, but the women in their vintage wetsuits are certainly reason enough to watch it.

The episode is very on the nose with its educational message and the moron is a good showcase of why you should dive with a partner and should think.

The way he squeezes himself into the tight space is really dumb, especially as he seemingly doesn’t even try to get out the same way he got stuck.

But perhaps his plan was to get stuck so Isis would show up and rescue him 😉

All in all a solid scene in my opinion.

Sophia Loren in vintage scuba gear… again! – Scenes 1 and 2

I know about this one for a long time and was rather surprised I haven’t posted about it.

Maybe I made a post about it ages ago and the video I had then was blocked or so… not sure.

Time that the scuba scenes of this movie get on this blog as well!

We have the gorgeous Italian actress Sophia Loren in it and she was only around 23 back then as the movie was filmed.

If you are a regular visitor to this blog you should know what my biggest issue here is….

Yeah, not a big fan of the aspect that she is diving in her normal street clothes, pretty much the unsexiest cloth someone might wear for diving.

On the other hand, it’s a young Sophia Loren and she looks gorgeous in anything.

In my version, she would have worn a vintage scuba suit from that era.

I also really love that she is using a double hose regulator, looks great!

Of course, I would have loved an action/peril scene here, perhaps the combination of some sharp rocks with her vulnerable intake air hose 😉

However two good scuba scenes with Sophia Loren in interesting gear.

There is one more scuba scene from this movie which will be posted as well in the next weeks.

*EDIT* Extra info:

As a nice guy mentioned, the woman in the underwater scenes is “Scilla Gabel” who was here as the stunt/dive double for Sophia Loren.

Background info:

Watch the video first… if you are already in the VIP club!

This video has 4 “rounds” of their scuba combat training + a “bonus” round.

In that bonus round, we tried something that didn’t work out like it was supposed to.

Therefore, I don’t promote that section with pictures here openly as it would feel wrong, even though those pictures do look really great.

Still, I think that bonus round is very interesting to watch and I do bet that many will love that part 😉

Some things are much harder in reality than in the movies 😉

I want to redo that scene next time and will prepare that scene so it will work out with the desired end result.

All the other 4 rounds worked out well, and delivered some good endings 🙂

As with the other “Scuba combat training”-videos, this had only very little script in it. I just provided possible outcomes.

But how, when, and by whom these were achieved was in the hands of Alice and Caity.

Next time I will give more detailed instructions as to how some things should be done, that shouldn’t cost too much extra time.

Very happy (again) with how both frogwomen performed here and surprised me as well, as I didn’t know what exactly would happen in each round.

Some great wetsuit scenes from an insane movie

This movie was recommended to me ages ago and I always refused to post about it.

Then it was recommended to me again just a week ago and I changed my mind.

Thanks again for the reco./reminder!

Still, this is a totally insane movie where the producers must have been on drugs all the time…. BUT… here and there it has some interesting snippets 🙂

So, you don’t have to skip through the craziness and can enjoy the good parts….

Ok, I don’t know what is really happening in this movie and I don’t care, it’s just an insane “comedy” written by someone in an asylum (my guess).

For most of the movie a guy is flying around …without any flying gear… so…. I don’t care about the “story”.

I don’t know how she is suddenly in the net as she was next to that canoe some seconds ago!?!

I don’t even know why she even is in the water…. and I don’t wanna know 😆

For a second I hoped she was there to drown him… but well, it’s a “comedy”, so that won’t happen.

Also interesting how his shirt changes from red to blue stripes 😆

But, I really love her sexy vintage rubber wetsuit! And that makes it worth making a video out of these scenes 😉

Yeah, I would prefer it in black, but it looks great in blue as well. Not often you do see such wetsuits in color in a movie… so, I am thankful for those short snippets.

These soft helmets the parachuters are wearing remind me of good old Angelo 😉

Background info:

I thought about including more pictures of their fight, but I don’t wanna post too many spoilers 😉

Yeah, this video is over 4 minutes and still in the VIP club, consider these 21 seconds as extra bonus for free. I thought about a longer version for an individual sale, but the extra footage wasn’t making this a better video.

Then I thought to cut it just below 4 minutes… but that felt somehow wrong as then something would be missing.

When we are doing the video shoot, I always feel a little bit too rushed, as the time in the pool is limited and every hour costs money.

I need to get a bit more relaxed there so that cleaning up the background (pictures 1 and 2) should be done, but I was too rushed.

So, … involuntarily… these pictures include some behind-the-scenes footage …but your focus should be on them anyhow.

The video is mainly divided into 3 parts: Some surface shooting where they strap on their masks (incl. breathing sounds), some close-up footage underwater, and then a fight scene at the end.

I used a (simple) script on this one, and it worked out quite well. The scenario is rather simple.

I want to include real storylines in the future as well, even if that makes things more complicated. Especially continuity errors can happen very easily underwater, and communication underwater is very limited… even when you use simple tools.

So, the quantity of video we can film in one session will go down… but if the quality improves on the other hand, that should be a good thing.

Alice and Caity delivered a really good performance here again, and their scuba experience paid off. The vintage Technisub FFM that Alice is wearing isn’t easy to handle with the lower straps and their locking mechanism. It’s also not very comfortable to dive with, especially in comparison to the OTS Guardian that Caity is using.

There is certainly room for improvement here, but all in all, I’m happy with how the video turned out for the limited time that was available.
