Female space pilot in peril – Scene 3

As promised I wanna post another scene from this new space flick.

Well, the first two scenes weren’t received too well on Youtube…but let’s see if this scene can do better 😉

After all, it’s the perilous highlight of the movie!

And here is the video (turn up the volume!!!):

Again, there is room for improvement. It would be great to actually see or hear air escaping from her helmet! And her weird pistol seems completely underpowered against his “armor”.

And I don’t know why the bad guys/creatures are wearing these gas masks. I mean such a gas mask won’t help you on a planet without oxygen….and they are not even complete without the filters (*EDIT* OK, as I nice guy on Youtube told me, this gas mask has filters inside it).  They wouldn’t help either off course. But well, with a little fantasy the viewer has to accept that these gas masks keep them alive.

But nonetheless, it’s such a GREAT scene for me! The AI voice which is reporting the air loss and how her helmet is damaged….is a great feature!

Also, I love how long they made this scene! He yanks on her helmet relentlessly, he even tries to damage the visor and/or rip it off her helmet. She is in real distress and knows in what a BIG danger she is.

And he is partially successful which brings her into a very dangerous and perilous situation. She loses air and must fix that helmet or get a new one. Scenes like that are incredibly rare, so this one is a real gem for me!

Ok, unlike her pistol her life support system is highly OVERpowered. Wherever that actually is (supposed to be). At some point, she mentioned that she would have air for one day or two. But ok, after all, it’s a fantasy/sci-fi movie. And I guess with any leak on that helmet she would die much sooner….but again, that’s the rules of the movie.

And this even isn’t the end of the peril for our space pilot….there is more to come.

The more I think about it….I am quite sure now that the screenwriter has some familiar fetish to write all those scenes 😉

I think the two posts are enough to cover this movie, even there are more interesting scenes in it!

You should get the whole movie! Just skip the first 30-40 minutes 😉

Female space pilot in peril – Scenes 1+2

This one came out of nowhere…. a great recommendation, again….thanks a lot!

This movie is quite odd.

If I didn’t know that there were some interesting scenes later on I would have stopped to watch after 10 minutes in the movie.

The first 30 minutes are pretty crappy, the very small budget is showing, and due to the lack of real backstory, you don’t really care for what is happening.

But as soon the two women crash land on that planet it quickly becomes interesting!

For today I wanna present the first two interesting scenes of the movie (and there is more!).

Preview:

And here is the video:

Yeah, the limited budget is showing and her gear could easily be better.

But….. I really love how she stumbles from one perilous situation into the other. As an explanation, she is in some sort of survival tent that provides oxygen …as the planet doesn’t have a breathable atmosphere. So I find it quite sexy how she frantically is searching for her helmet as the monster is destroying the tent.

And the 2nd scene is quite good too, even they should have shown the oxygen loss better. Some sound effects and (visible) air escaping her suit would have been great. But with a little imagination you can add that yourself 😆

And this was only the beginning!

There are more scenes ahead, and one of them is really freaking AWESOME!

I will make another post that will incl. the best scene of the movie….a scene that is easily one of the very best “female astronaut/pilot in oxygen peril” scenes of all time 😉 …..if you guys would like to see it. Yes, it’s not a female scuba diver…but I think many of you like to see women in all kinds of breathing gear….

For now, I won’t post the name of the movie, but I will when I make another post about this one. I think I will make that one in the middle of next week.

What do you think about these scenes?

The trailer for this blog and its Youtube channel

After very little participation in the second round of different trailer music tracks….I was a little disappointed and thought about the whole trailer thing.

Today I finished the trailer. Basically, it’s the very first version that I uploaded, now with some changes to the order of scenes and some fixes to the music.

…and I added the intro and outro text.

Here it is:

If a regular visitor of this blog you should know most of these scenes already.

If you don’t then you have some “homework” to do 😉

Many (the best) of the scenes from the trailer can be found in my “Hall of Fame” section here on the blog.

If you live in Japan and can’t see the trailer on Youtube (blocked there), then you can watch/download the trailer here:

Sexy vintage wetsuits ….and odd underwater scenes

I am very much divided about this one, but it clearly has some interesting aspects in it!

Thanks to the friendly guy who recommended me this one!

It’s a fine example of how one video can be really good and really bad at the same time 😉

And here is the video:

Quite a rollercoaster ride! You have two frogwomen in great vintage wetsuits, really great!

On the other hand, you have completely murky underwater shots where you can see not much or even nothing.

Oddly enough, their scuba gear changes as they are underwater. No one is ever seen with a double hose regulator above the surface….but as soon they are underwater they mostly use double hose regulators….WTF?! Also, the wetsuits tend to change and have stripes they don’t have had on the surface.

It seems like they made all underwater scenes with stunt divers and not with the actors. But why does no one notice the different types of gear? And why do they film in such murky waters where you have to guess what is going on? If they would have filmed that in some tank or pool it might have looked weird (like many underwater shots in Baywatch) but at least you would see what is going on. So, the underwater parts are totally uninteresting for me, and I think many see it like that.

But back to the good aspects. The black wetsuits look really great on the 2 women and it would have been great to actually “see” these women underwater. Especially as one of them gets into trouble as she is stuck on something for a while.

Flipper, the female diver and a great white shark

[1st post for today, another one will follow]

The new(er) Flipper TV show offers a lot of scenes with female scuba divers as you may already know.

I already posted some of them and today I wanna present another one!

And here is the video:

A fine peril scene, even it has some obvious flaws 😉

Ok, don’t know if any dolphin could distract/fend off a great white shark…but that’s one of the less problematic points. Still, the shark is so much faster than she is, he could easily catch up with her again, even there is Flipper around.

I don’t remember the full episode but she obviously has some trauma with sharks. Which is quite a problem if you work half the time underwater as she does in her job….

But overall the scene has its plus points as well. I always enjoy seeing women in full-face masks in action. Quite rare stuff, even today.

If I would ever make a shark movie, I guess these sharks would be trained to have a taste for air hoses instead of human meat 😆

With all the crazy shark movies out there, I wonder why no one did that so far. 😉

There is another scene with her in scuba gear as she tags a shark from a really thin shark cage. But that’s very short and without action.

One of the weirdest scuba peril scenes of all time! [Frogwoman Org cut]

This one is pretty….special!

It shows how you can incl. a pretty good scuba peril scene into a complete mess of filming.

My jaw dropped open pretty wide as I saw this for the first time. Thanks again to the guy who recommended me this episode!

I edited the peril scene heavily so I cut out all the few bits as they were constantly showing some of the folks on the yacht while she was diving.

It was insanely scripted…but more on that later on 😉

Preview:

And here is the video:

Well………WOW! What the hell is going on here? And how can you film it like this?

Let’s start at the beginning. I don’t know what they are talking about at the beginning as I don’t speak Turkish.

But I would guess they aren’t so happy that she is diving alone. But seemingly there is no other dive equipment on the yacht or no one wants to dive with her.

As most know it’s not the best idea to dive alone.

But within seconds she gets managed to trap herself as her leg gets stuck in some rocks (always think about Thunderball when that happens 😉 ).

And almost instantly the situation gets out of control as she is breathing very heavily. I mean she is underwater for such a short time…she should have at least around 40 minutes of air if she remains calm. Plenty of time to get rescued, plenty of time to free herself.

But what does she do? She passes out and loses her regulator?????? Well….. how can that happen?

Whoever it was who wrote that scene, doesn’t really have knowledge about scuba diving. And seemingly no one in the production had.

But what happens next? She is underwater for a minute or two and already they are thinking that something is wrong and the guy jumps into the water.

Why? They couldn’t have had any clue about something being wrong.

He puts the regulator back in her mouth and we can see her clearly breathing from it.

He gets her on the ship and starts to resuscitate her. Check out how he positioned his hands:

Certainly, no method from which I ever heard of 😀 ….that naughty guy!

Oh boy….so many strange things. Well, yeah, it’s a Turkish soap opera. And you shouldn’t expect much from such a diving scene in it.

But some sort of logic in all of that would be nice….

However, the scene in which she struggles to get free and starts heavily sucking on her regulator….is very sexy!

Sadly that’s just some seconds…but well, that’s at least something.

As I mentioned above I cut out all the little parts where they are constantly cutting from her in struggle underwater to one of the random folks on that yacht for some seconds which interrupts the underwater scene constantly and is a very irritating method.

You can check out the original here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-52y9ddO1A

(around minute 24)

So I would say my cut is better when it comes to the scuba scene 😉

But still, there is a lot of wasted potential in this scene.

Wanna know from which show this is from?

(don’t know the exact episode, but maybe episode 2, according to the name of the Youtube file above)

Flipper and the female scuba diver in peril (2 videos)

Time for 2 more scenes from Flipper (the newer series)!

This episode has 2 really good peril scenes with a frogwoman that keeps getting in trouble underwater! 😉

I divided it into 2 videos as there was so much material.

Preview, Scene 1:

And here is the 1st video:

A really fine peril scene….and a rather unusual one!

She was lucky this time…. but she soon gets into trouble again.

Will she get out of it alive again?

——–

Preview, Scene 2:

And here is the 2nd video:

Well, as soon she was trying to free Flipper it was rather obvious what would happen 😉

Divers in movies have the tendency of losing their knives and getting entangled in the net, so they would need to be saved.

Here is seems quite strange that she couldn’t get out of the net as it clearly looks as she should be able to get out of it in some scenes.

But well, then we wouldn’t have the fine scene in the show 😉

Another standard trope was missing this time. Normally when a scuba diver in a movie or TV show gets trapped he/she normally has only a few % of air left… 😉

I like how they all work together here to free her and Flipper from the net.

And I also enjoy how many scenes with women in full-face scuba masks this show has to offer. 🙂

Wanna know from which episode these scenes are?

Female scuba diver gets attacked and drowned by evil diver [S.O.S. Barracuda][HD upgrade + longer][+ Bonus scene]

Remember this epic scene? Here is the old link…

Female scuba diver gets attacked and drowned by evil diver [S.O.S. Barracuda]

That video was done from a VHS recording as the movie was aired the last time in the early 2000s. A very nice guy provided that one to me in 2018.

Now, after all these years the movie was shown again on a HD channel, so I was able to get a proper recording.

Also, I could see the whole movie now and not only a couple of minutes of it.

There is also another scuba scene in this one that I didn’t know of, but we will come to that later on.

Preview:

And here is the video:

Link

*EDIT* Had to be moved to an alternative site…

My view on the plus and minus points of this scene hasn’t changed (from my old post):

– points:

The struggle between her and the attacker is much too short. The camera work is too fast and too shaky. We don’t see very much of her….

Many “mistakes”: Her tanks emptied so fast…. if she had more than a few % of her air left…that’s a mistake. It should take much longer until she is out.

She doesn’t fight back and her only action is to use the octopus.

And why is her dive buddy suddenly so far away from her? He was pretty close as he was cutting these cables.

Additional – points:

Why does she drown that fast? I often laugh at some scuba fetish videos where it takes up to 5 or more minutes for someone to drown which is just hilarious. But ok, I guess some folks wanna see it so long. Here it is quite the opposite: He cuts her air hose and she drowns in a matter of a few seconds. Equally weird. Especially as she uses her 2nd regulator and should get air from it as long the tank still has air in it.

Her male buddy behaves really completely insanely. He manages to disarm the attacker, who closes his air valve. But what does the guy do? Trying to reach it, and fails to do so. Ok, yeah, it’s not so easy to reach it with shorter arms. But…..why doesn’t he get out of his BCD-vest? Then he could easily reach the valve and turn his air back on! Instead, he dives to his now-dead girlfriend. He realizes that she is dead and that her air hose is cut. But he tries to get air from his tank! WHY? How is there supposed to be air left in there as the air hose is sliced and no more air escapes the cut hose? Completely moronic move. He still doesn’t think of turning his air back on and ascends rapidly, nearly dying in the process.

+ points:

First of all, this is the ONLY scene I know (in a movie or TV series) where a female diver is attacked…her air hose gets cut…AND she actually drowns afterward. In every other scene with an air hose cut…the female diver always survive. This aspect makes it unique! GREAT! A real big + point! (*EDIT* Now in 2021 it’s one of two scenes I know of that kind)

After she drowns we get to see a lot of scenes of her dead body. That is very rare too.

I guess many will love all these “death stare” scenes. And let’s be honest: I do ….like them….somehow. (But my main interest is to see the struggle before the drowning)

Additional + points:

The scuba fight with the two men is actually not bad. I wish he would have struggled with her like that. He manages to disarm the attacker and injures him.

Later on, her fires an emergency rocket and gets saved by the Barracuda crew. But some minutes later he gets shot by the killer….

Some more pictures:

But as I mentioned there is another scuba scene, check it out:

Link

*EDIT* Had to be moved to an alternative site…

Well, what did just happen? Good question!

First of all, I love the end result! The evil scuba killer who drowned one frogwoman gets now (seemingly) drowned by another female diver (from the Barracuda police crew).

A really great, fitting result! 🙂

But…..

….what has happened down there?????? It isn’t shown and it isn’t explained at all. She doesn’t speak about it with the other crew members, no one asks her.

That way we totally have to use our imagination.

Has she somehow turned his air off? Has she stabbed him with a knife that was never shown? Was there a struggle between the two? Why didn’t both dive to the surface to find out what was going on there?

Well, all questions we never get an answer for….. 🙁

I really like to see her in closeups in her full face mask! Would have loved to see them fight against each other! With him trying to drown another frogwoman….but this frogwoman would be far better skilled than his last victim with her police scuba training (it was mentioned in the movie).

I guess in the end they may have been run out of money (or time) and just didn’t film some more scenes underwater.

A real shame, but it is cool to have another scuba scene in this movie….

Here is the IMDB title to this one:

The Bond girls of …Thunderball! [Behind the scenes]

A nice guy on a forum recommended me a certain video that was reviewing a James Bond documentary from 1965.

So, if you read 1965 you already may think of Thunderball as that was its release year. 😉

Well, the documentary actually deals with the first 4 Bond movies…incl. Thunderball.

In the documentary, you get some really nice scenes with the three major Bond girls of Thunderball.

As you (should) know there is only one scuba scene with Domino (Claudine Auger) in the movie.

In this documentary, there are some promo shots of the girls in bathing suits, bikini, and even wetsuits!

Let’s start with the most interesting part of the documentary you can find in the video below.

Preview:

And here is the video:

Well, with that kind of narration …you wouldn’t get away with it today 😉

But I like the voice, very fitting.

Sadly that was everything to find in this documentary related to the Bond girls in Thunderball. But it is very interesting material after all! 🙂

It’s great to see the women on the set in such outfits. Seeing Domino in wetsuit…in a nice glimpse in the department of “What could have been”.

And I still imaging Fiona Volpe (Luciana Paluzzi) in a black Spectre rubber wetsuit in the final scuba battle of the movie 😉

That would have been a proper ending for her.

Also in quite some footage, you see Paula (Martine Beswick) in action scenes against Spectre divers who seemingly wanna kidnap or kill her.

Sadly, they didn’t give her these kinds of scenes in the movie.

Here is some additional promo footage of these Bond girls:
