A weird scuba lesson in a crap movie

[1st post for today]

I don’t use the word “crap” very often around movies. But here, it does fit really well!

Stumbled upon this one by chance as I saw the movie poster and the title.

Both were kind of promising, so I checked it out.

Well, the good news is the movie does have a scuba scene….the bad news is…well, see for yourself:

And here is the video:

Ok, where to start?

What the hell is going on in this scene?

It starts as a rather normal scuba lesson, but things go really sideways….

Ok, she gets some kind of panic attack as she is thinking about some shark attack (nice plastic shark).

But the way she behaves is so weird and unlogical.

She could easily just stand up and surface as she is in very shallow water. Problem solved!

By the way: Where is the scuba instructor? Has he gone to lunch and left her alone with the scuba gear in the pool? Oh man, completely crazy and irresponsible as hell!

But what does she do instead of surfacing?

She rips off her scuba mask….ok, why? She seems to have problems with having water in her nose…so ripping off the mask wasn’t helping 😉

Then she spits out her regulator. Ok, well, now she sees nearly nothing and has no air while being in very shallow water….. well…..

What is going on? Seems like she has a death wish or is crazy.

Then the good guy comes to her help and “saves” her. Oh boy…

And by the way²: Why is she wearing shorts over her bathing suit? But ok, that is one of the less weird things here…..

Hilariously and/or sadly this is actually the only scuba scene and also the only scene with real underwater footage.

You barely see any shark in the whole movie which is quite funny if you know the movie title.

Wanna know the “movie” title?

These days I don’t give much about IMDB ratings anymore, but the 1.6 is well deserved 😉

What do you think of that scene?
