So, it’s time for a new “Project F” video!

This is video 30 and the sixth (and last) from the 4th video shoot.

In this video, Frogwomen Kara and Tessie are training their scuba combat skills so they are always ready for a mission.

It’s a combat training video….

Background info (without spoiler):

After training sessions with Lucy and Kara and then Lucy and Tessie… it was now time for Tessie and Kara to train their scuba combat skills!

Tessie was the safety diver for most of the video shot and her rather small 4-liter tank was pretty empty by now.

At first, I wanted to equip her with a fresh 10-liter tank, as they look better and she would have much bigger reserves.

But Tessie actually wanted to try how it would feel with a completely empty tank… as you normally never have a totally empty tank.

Well, I agreed and we started shooting…

Tessie encountered an issue with her regulator, more on that in the spoiler section in the VIP club.

Other than that, the shooting went very smoothly and took not much time as the scenario makes it easy to shoot.

Both did a good job! It wasn’t easy for Kara, as Tessie is an experienced diver… but it was a pretty even match…

The Deepest Breath – Netflix documentary movie [Reco]

Yesterday I watched a new Netflix documentary movie.

Official synopsis (with some spoilers):

Descending to remarkable depths below the sea on one single breath, Alessia Zecchini enters what she describes as the last quiet place on Earth. The Italian champion is determined to set a new world record in freediving, a dangerous extreme sport in which competitors attempt to reach the greatest depth without the use of scuba gear. Freedivers are often subject to blackouts upon ascent, necessitating the help of safety divers like Stephen Keenan, a free-spirited Irish adventurer who fell in love with the sport in Dahab, Egypt. Having formed a special bond on the freediving circuit, Alessia and Stephen train together so she can make an attempt on Dahab’s legendary Blue Hole and its challenging 85-foot-long tunnel 184 feet below the Red Sea. Their fates are inextricably bound together by a tragic event that ensues.

I didn’t know anything about these two and was totally surprised by the storyline and the ending.

The documentary is very interesting and quite moving… wasn’t expecting that.

And it has plenty of women in sexy smooth skin wetsuits 🙂

I highly recommend this one!

Frogwomen Lucy and Kara in “Surprise Attack” – [29th video of Project F – 4th video shoot]

So, it’s time for a new “Project F” video!

This is video 29 and the fifth from the 4th video shoot.

In this video, Frogwomen Lucy and Kara wanna test some scuba gear in the pool.

But things are not what they seem… and a scuba battle for survival enfolds!

 

I don’t wanna spoil it too much for now, but expect …something to happen… that never happened before in any “Project F” video! 😉

Ok, time to reveal a spoiler: Tessie will join the fight, and so there are 3 frogwomen in front of the camera… for the first time in my “Project F” videos.

Background info (without spoiler):

First of all, there are 2 versions of this video available for you to watch!

The fighting during the recording got a little “out of control” in this one, and we made several takes, which resulted in a slightly troublesome editing in this case.

But now I’m happy with the final result, and I’m sure you folks will like it 😉

My initial idea was to make one video and put extra footage at the end of that video as a bonus.

But I decided to make a “normal” cut, which is shorter but has no continuation errors.

The XXL cut is longer and has more footage from different recordings, which results in some continuity errors. But you surely will like these extra scenes as well 😉

I leave it up to you which version you prefer.

I highly recommend watching the “normal” cut first, though …and then the XXL cut afterward!

Kara isn’t wearing a hood in this one, as the combination with the full-face mask was a little tricky.

It is the first time that Kara was using that OTS Guardian mask and it worked out really fine.

The pressure equalization can be a little problematic with such a mask at first, but Kara can make that equalization without pinching her nose, so that wasn’t an issue at all!

She really enjoyed using it as it adds more comfort to the diving as you can breathe with your mouth and nose, and it doesn’t even have a mouthpiece.

It’s a combat training scenario…

Background info (without spoiler):

Tessie was the safety diver for most of the day, but also debuted in front of the camera in this video.

She has some scuba certificates and plenty of scuba experience already at a rather young age.

So, it was pretty difficult for Lucy to force Tessie to the surface in this training scenario 😉

In comparison to modern regulators, the 60-year-old Royal Mistral double hose regulator is less comfortable when it comes to breathing and handling, but Lucy adapted to it quickly.

The mouthpiece of the Royal Mistral got slightly damaged during this video… more on that in the VIP section.

Luckily nothing that would prevent any further usage (no big repairs needed).

Tessie came up with some nice extra elements like the fin pulling and the leg scissors, and both did a really good job!

My favorite element was the scene where Tessie squeezed the corrugated air hose of Lucy, thereby minimizing the airflow for her.

That is another great aspect about these double hose regulators… more options 🙂

Lucy, whom she just met 2 days ago… is very eager to join her…. for some reason. 😉

The title can be interpreted in two ways, but you will get that if you watch the whole video 😉

This is the second video of “Project F” with a deadly outcome for a frogwoman.

I explain some story details in the VIP club as I don’t wanna spoil(er) it here.

As mentioned above, I included a first tiny dialog between two frogwomen in this one.

As the dialogue is so short, I decided that they would speak German as a little reference to the home country of “Project F”. Of course, I included English subtitles.

It was really nice that the sun was shining here during an overall pretty cloudy day. That led to some nice lightning effects.

Lucy and Kara did a fine job here again, and I am happy with the final video.

Of course, there were some aspects that could be improved, and I made some notes for the future.

And don’t worry… the frogwoman who met her end here… will appear in future videos as well 😉

The first 14 seconds of the video consist of the title screen and a “story” screen (a few lines).

During that time, you will hear some music from a certain Bond movie.

A woman in a stunning vintage wetsuit… and a sinking boat

A day late, but here is a new post!

This classic scene is rather short, and has no underwater scenes… but I think that it really should be on the blog!

Why? Because we have a frogwoman in a great 60s smooth-skin wetsuit 🙂

Plus… the scene is quite bizarre/funny! Also, I finished the Diana Rigg episodes last week. So, I’m in a Avengers mood!

I used all the footage with her in the wetsuit for the video. Sadly she isn’t appearing again in that outfit.

I thought about cutting out the scene with “Mother” on the phone, but I decided to keep them in the video as I think the whole situation is very funny.

It’s always great when people act completely normal in a bizarre situation.

As it looks the scuba mask will be not much use to Mother as it doesn’t fit 😆 #huge gap

Of course, it would have been even better if the frogwoman would have used a scuba tank and would have been showing diving underwater… but no luck here.

Would have been nice if Tara would have dressed accordingly as she dove down to the underwater base.

Well… it’s a training scenario. They “just” force each other to the surface.

Background info:

I really like to make these videos of the “Scuba Combat Training” series. They are easy to do, and you can quickly film them.

Also, I only provide some basics of what to do (like going for masks/regulators) ….and the rest is totally up to the frogwomen.

So, it’s always a surprise to me as well what will happen in the end 🙂

This time the two frogwomen came up with the idea that they could start with a sort of “lurking” phase where they would swim around and then would attack each other at the right moment.

I like the idea as it builds up some suspense, and the video gets a little longer as well…

Frogwoman Lucy was wearing the new silver-grey Elios vintage style beavertail wetsuit that I got some weeks ago, and a new white Aqualung mask that I got for a really low price by chance.

It looks really good in my opinion and will surely be used in the future as well.

Both were wearing Omer smooth-skin neoprene socks that looked much better than the usual ones. And they are also more comfortable in the fins as they are thicker.

Frogwoman Kara was wearing the Orca Openwater suit and a new Seac mask with a wider viewing field.

 

As I mentioned in the past, both have only the scuba experience that they got from the video shoots.

But they both are really comfortable with the gear now, and the fact that the two are friends in real life is a big advantage as well.

 

It’s not always easy to be in the right spot with the camera, as I can only guess how they will move around in all directions.

Once in this video, I was in an unfortunate position in the end… but well… it’s always a bit of luck involved, and most of the time I think it worked out fine.

Glad that we had some sunshine here as the sun showed up during the filming.

In this video, Agent Kara is taking pictures of a secret underwater base of Spectre (#some imagination required) and gets attacked by an evil frogwoman…

….and only ONE of them will survive!

Background info:

This one is a good example of how much I want and do not want to show here. I mentioned above that only one of them would survive the fight.

It would certainly be good for promo reasons to include a picture of the ending here.

But at the same time, I don’t want to fully spoil it by showing that… as you then would know who will win the fight.

So, I chose the middle way… maybe I will use a picture of the ending in a week or two, but not now.

This video was more difficult to make than the previous ones. We had a script and reshoot some scenes, especially the final one.

That also made the editing more complicated in comparison as well…. for some scenes.

In the end, I’m happy with the result! I made some notes on things that can be improved in the future.

The GoPro I use for filming is doing a good job… but it has one aspect that can be problematic:

As the camera is tiny… the screen is tiny as well, and that makes it pretty hard to see all the details, especially while filming underwater.

Kara and Demi did a fine job, especially considering how little scuba experience they have/had and that this scenario was quite challenging.

As a BONUS for you guys, I decided to also include a BONUS version with a lot of awesome music from Thunderball!

I hope you folks like that version as well and appreciate the effort, if not… just watch the “normal” version 😉

Now a minor spoiler, so don’t continue unless you have seen the video!

In the end scene, the regulator wasn’t supposed to exhaust bubbles, even as we repeated the scene several times, it always did… so just ignore these bubbles 😉

We could have closed the valve for the scene… but that was a little too risky as both had very little scuba experience.

Background info:

Alice is actually an experienced freediver so she can swim underwater for quite a while, and that is what you can see in the video as she swims the full length of the pool back and forth!

And she still had some reserves left. Quite impressive if you ask me.

Also, she is really fast with these long freediver fins!

Of course, the time for one take here during a scuba fight is quite limited when one woman doesn’t have a scuba tank.

This was a quick video with only a very basic script, but it turned up pretty good in my opinion.

As Caity is an experienced diver, she didn’t have any problems with

her mask getting flooded during the fight. Next time, the mask should be fully yanked off the head.

My initial plan was that Alice would

steal the regulator/Octopus of Caity at some point. But we weren’t 100% sure that a freediver could/should start breathing air from a tank, even at this low depth. I will have to do some research on that matter.

The new Subea wetsuit that Alice is wearing looks great on her and was a great bargain for just 60 Euros.

Right now, the price is nearly twice as much in the shop where I bought it back then.

In the future, I might revisit this scenario to make a longer video with different outcomes.

It’s pretty simple, I had to spend a lot of money:

All that scuba gear, location rent, and the money for the frogwomen and the safety diver.

If I don’t make enough money with these videos….. I won’t be able to make new videos at some point.

After all, you get all those Project F videos each month + additional content for just 12 euros (or even less per month if you get into the VIP club for more than one month).

I would say that is quite a bargain!

Also, I do hope that the number of VIP club members will be higher with the current price as it would be with a higher price.

The rotation periods for each video will get a little longer though. When a video leaves the VIP club, it will be out for at least 4 months.

But still, there will be 5-6 Project F videos in it each month 😉
