This one I knew for quite some time, but somehow I never made a video out of it.

But it offers quite a lot! A frogman and a frogwoman in great vintage scuba gear 🙂

In and out of the water! And a total of 9 minutes in that gear!!!

Well, quite some scenes! First of all …I do love that scuba gear!

The frogman actually has my favorite wetsuit/regulator combo (black rubber wetsuit + double hose regulator….just like a SPECTRE diver in Thunderball)!

A shame that she doesn’t wear the same outfit.

I don’t like those ugly bathing caps and why doesn’t she wear a matching hood to it? And of course, I would have preferred an underwater encounter with the monster that would lead to an extensive fight scene….but, well, you can’t have everything.

The monsters look pretty funny, but well, the movie is over 50 years old. Weird that she encounters the monster underwater, but the monster actually isn’t underwater (filmed in studio). I guess they couldn’t use that outfit underwater for some reason…

Pamela Anderson and Alexandra Paul try to save a trapped diver! [female Baywatch Scuba scenes in HD #6]

Ok, folks, back to the normal….”a post on Sunday” schedule!

This one has quite a lot to offer :-). We see two women underwater….freediving (one of them)….diving with spare air bottles ….and in FULL scuba gear as well! And it has Pamela Anderson in a tight, “wet” wetsuit….do I need to say more?

And one of them is even out of air in one scene!

Well, a pretty great scene! Really odd is that Alexandra Paul (aka Stephanie Holden in the show) is swimming horizontally in that depth….without an air source! Wouldn’t it be more….well…logical to swim to the surface instead? 😉 Or should we believe that the diver is trapped inside a cave system? It doesn’t look like that…(after all, it’s only a tank in a studio with some fake rocks)

However, seeing frogwomen in action is always good! Especially when someone like Pamela Anderson is diving (stunt double?) and “presents” herself in that wetsuit afterward.

A vintage frogwoman from (former) Eastern Germany!

Thanks to a very friendly guy I stumbled upon this movie. I didn’t think it would be possible to get my hands on it…but to my surprise, they published a DVD of that movie here in Germany.

I ordered it right away and now I wanna present the past parts to you folks!

I included every scene where the girl wears that wetsuit above and below the waterline.

Story (of the 2nd scene):

The frogwoman makes fun of her friend as she wants to marry him underwater.  The old guy with the scuba mask is supposed to be the reverend who witnesses the marriage.

Later she tells him it was a joke.

Well, on the backside of the DVD case they promise “…a happy story, which takes part underwater in large part” (loosely translated).

The female lead actress is seen underwater for a couple of seconds, but only in a bathing suit without scuba gear. There are some rather short underwater scenes with the men of the dive club, even a good action scene. And we have the only frogwomen, which wears her wetsuit for nearly 3 minutes (as seen above) and is shown underwater…for 15-20 seconds.

 

These cheating basta……

Yeah, but at least we have that frogwoman in a pretty sexy wetsuit. And what was actually pretty cool was her leaking scuba gear. She loses air! When you look at her strange air hose, you see a trail of bubbles…. 🙂

These white air hoses….never seen those. They look as if they had used a simple garden hose and connected it to a scuba tank.

I know many things were in short supply back then in former Eastern Germany…but these hoses….look strange. I guess they had to improvise.

Another hardhat diver needs to be rescued! [female Baywatch Scuba scenes in HD #5]

Again, a hardhat diver needs to be rescued! Pretty odd, that they used that gear again, but hey, we got to see Stephanie Holden (Alexandra Paul) underwater with scuba gear (even it is “only” a spare air bottle, but it counts).

Check if you can see the “error” they build in at around 2:43 😉

What can possibly go wrong if a 100-year-old dude goes diving with his ancient equipment …alone? 😉

Lucky him, there is a Baywatch babe to rescue him! (perhaps that was his idea in the first place 😉 )

Why doesn’t the guy on the boat help her? Especially when she needs something to move a big rock…

And perhaps you noticed the little continuation error. Suddenly she has a regulator from a scuba tank in her mouth (see picture 3 above).

I guess they had not enough spare air bottles for the filming.

Lara Croft (Angelina Jolie) ….and the roaring shark

Many of you may know this one already….but it has to be on the blog for some reason. It was long overdue!

In this post, you will see Angelina Jolie in her prime in a stunning bikini and even …stunnier…wetsuit. And one of the most embarrassing moments in cinema history.

Ok, these scenes are special to me. I was in love with Angelina back then and I always loved scuba scenes (and wetsuits).

So….I do love most of these scenes.

She looks great in that bikini and even greater in that tight, silver wetsuit.

It is pretty uncool that they use scooters with -build in- oxygen tanks. And dangerous….if you ever have to dive without that scooter for any reason… 😉

I had hoped for a scuba fight with some bad guys on the way back….but what do they come up with.

A….roaring shark…..a ROARING SHARK!!!!! Were they all on drugs as they come up with that scene? And later too as they filmed it?????

That is something the guys at the SCIFY channel would (and had) do when they make another 5$ shark movie. But in such a movie?

Really embarrassing! And the fact that she lands a hit with her fist on his jaws to stop him….makes it even worse.

But well, just ignore these last scenes and you do you a great looking woman in a stunning wetsuit!

And that is more than a good reason to watch this scene for me.

Female diver chased by 2 frogmen … and more! [female Baywatch Scuba scenes in HD #4]

Another scene with a female diver from Baywatch in HD!

Here it is Alexandra Paul who is getting ready to dive to take a soil sample from the sea bottom. She wants to get it after a close (male) friend of hers was attacked underwater earlier.

She wants to get a sample to prove pollution/contamination.

Of course, the bad guys are already close….and want to stop her!

I really like that scene…even they wasted a lot of potential in my opinion.

I like how she manages to fight them off at first. And how they chase her…reaching for her fins.

It’s only weird that these evil two guys are so damn slow…they fail to force her into another struggle, they can’t catch up with her, and they seem to be way…way….way….slower than the 2 Baywatch divers. And they are easy prey for Mitch and his dive buddy.

I wonder how the scene would have developed without the reinforcement for her….

The bikini girl with the double hose regulator ….and the moray

A nice guy pointed me at this rare, old Italian documentary from 1977. Some of the parts are really odd and sometimes even disgusting from today’s point of view. If you love animals you might get a heart attack by watching the whole thing. But what makes this documentary interesting for this blog?

Well, we have lots of frogmen in wetsuits but only one woman. This bikini girl seems to be…eye candy (watch how the camera shows her in one scene….) for the viewers …and is feeding a moray!

She doesn’t have a wetsuit like the guys, but she has a great vintage double hose regulator…and that qualifies her for this blog. 🙂

Well, I would have preferred if she would wear one of the wetsuits that the guys are wearing…but well, this bikini is…ok…as well.

As I said, I really love her double hose regulator, and in 1977 many divers already used the single hose versions, so it was a great find for me.

As cruel (and a little sexist) this documentary is…this scene is worth watching!
