5 tech divers and a deadly scuba accident!?! [Post 1 of 2] + News on Video 25 of Project F

I know about this movie for quite a while since I stumbled upon the cover of the German Bluray.

And as I found out that the main character of the movie is a (female) police diver… I got very thrilled to watch/buy this one 😉

Now, it’s finally time to make the first post about it!

Another one will follow…

Kiki (a female police diver), her brother and parents, and a close family friend wanna get a new dive record. But something goes horribly wrong!

This is from the German TV airing of the Belgian movie. Don’t know if there is an English dub for it.

I added the second scene to help to clear some of the confusion as it tells some very important facts about the fatal dive.

First of all, it’s a shame that the actual scuba fights/murders aren’t shown at all in the movie.

You have to imagine it with the clues from the later scene which is in the video above.

Kiki and her brother are already at their own record depth and can’t dive any deeper to (potentially) save their parents.

Both ascend too fast, which is no wonder after what they have been through. But they survive… unlike their parents.

Cezaire who was the fifth guy had some serious issues with the parents of Kiki and he is the killer.

All in all, it’s a nice peril scene, even though most of the action isn’t shown.

Seeing Kiki diving with that gear is a nice treat though!

I will make another video with 2 underwater/dive scenes with her, not much action there… but they are interesting as well!

A Japanese Frogwoman in a rubber wetsuit …and the rubber monster

We have a frogwoman in a lovely vintage rubber wetsuit and also a “monster”!

Hmh, not exactly a fan of this color mixture on her… but I always love a (black) rubber wetsuit!

The brown fins match the brown part of the wetsuit, but I’m not too fond of the color. The addition of a green cowl is pretty “wild” 😆

However, she looks great nonetheless in that outfit!

A shame that she had only that very short scene where she was actually diving in real water.

The fake underwater scene looks pretty weird, with no bubbles at all, and so on.

I don’t fully get what this all is about as the video has just Japanese language and no subtitles.

In my version, there wouldn’t be a monster but some evil frogwomen and she would have to battle them 😉

Female scuba diver lost at sea

…and no, I am not talking about the movie “Open Water” 😉

We have a woman and a guy who dive around and get quite surprised when they resurface!

Not sure how realistic it is that it would drift away and then also drift away from sight completely in the matter of one dive.

But that’s not important.

All in all a nice perilous scene, even if the peril happens on the surface.

Interestingly the guy uses the regulator that normally is mounted on an Interspiro AGA full-face scuba mask.

Quite unusual.

Some really nice underwater footage is included.

If I would have filmed that scenario an evil frogwoman in black rubber would have sneaked onto the boat during their dive and would have stolen it to leave them to their fate.

Much cooler than the boat just drifting away 😉

Frogwomen Kara and Demi in “Scuba Spy 3” – (Deadly) – [24th video of Project F – 3rd video shoot]

So, it’s time for the seventh video of the 3rd video shoot of “Project F”, the last one from that video shoot.

In this video, Agent Kara is taking pictures of a secret underwater base of Spectre (#some imagination required) and gets attacked by an evil frogwoman…

….and only ONE of them will survive!

Background info:

This one is a good example of how much I want and do not want to show here. I mentioned above that only one of them would survive the fight.

It would be certainly good for promo reasons to include a picture of the ending here.

But at the same time, I don’t want to fully spoil it by showing that… as you then would know who will win the fight.

So, I chose the middle way… maybe I will use a picture of the ending in a week or two, but not now.

This video was more difficult to make than the previous ones, we had a script and reshoot some scenes, especially the final one.

That also made the editing more complicated in comparison as well…. for some scenes.

In the end, I’m happy with the result! I made some notes on things that can be improved in the future.

The GoPro I use for filming is doing a good job… but it has one aspect that can be problematic:

As the camera is tiny… the screen is tiny as well, and that makes it pretty hard to see all the details especially while filming underwater.

Kara and Demi did a fine job, especially considering how little scuba experience they have/had and that this scenario was quite challenging.

As a BONUS for you guys, I decided to also include a BONUS version with a lot of awesome music from Thunderball!

I hope you folks like that version as well and appreciate the effort, if not… just watch the “normal” version 😉

Now a minor spoiler, so don’t continue unless you have seen the video!

In the end scene, the regulator wasn’t supposed to exhaust bubbles, even as we repeated the scene several times it always did… so just ignore these bubbles 😉

We could have closed the valve for the scene… but that was a little too risky as both had very little scuba experience.

Background info:

This video has 4 “rounds” of their scuba combat training + a “bonus” round.

In that bonus round, we tried something that didn’t work out like it was supposed to.

Therefore I don’t promote that section with pictures here openly as it would feel wrong, even though those pictures do look really great.

Still, I think that bonus round is very interesting to watch and I do bet that many will love that part 😉

Some things are much harder in reality than in the movies 😉

I want to redo that scene next time and will prepare that scene so it will work out with the desired end result.

All the other 4 rounds worked out well, and delivered some good endings 🙂

As with the other “Scuba combat training”-videos this had only very little script in it. I just provided possible outcomes.

But how, when, and by whom these were achieved was in the hands of Alice and Caity.

Next time I will give more detailed instructions as to how some things should be done, that shouldn’t cost too much extra time.

Very happy (again) with how both frogwomen performed here and surprised me as well, as I didn’t know what exactly would happen in each round.

Background info:

I thought about including more pictures of their fight, but I don’t wanna post too many spoilers 😉

Yeah, this video is over 4 minutes and still in the VIP club, consider these 21 seconds as extra bonus for free. I thought about a longer version for an individual sale, but the extra footage wasn’t making this a better video.

Then I thought to cut it just below 4 minutes… but that felt somehow wrong as then something would be missing.

When we are doing the video shoot I always feel a little bit too rushed, as the time in the pool is limited and every hour costs money.

I need to get a bit more relaxed there so that cleaning up the background (pictures 1 and 2) should be done, but I was too rushed.

So, … involuntarily… these pictures include some behind-the-scenes footage …but your focus should be on them anyhow.

The video is mainly divided into 3 parts: Some surface shooting where they strap on their masks (incl. breathing sounds), some close-up footage underwater, and then a fight scene at the end.

I used a (simple) script on this one, and it worked out quite well, the scenario is rather simple.

I want to include real storylines in the future as well, even if that makes things more complicated. Especially continuity errors can happen very easily underwater and communication underwater is very limited… even when you use simple tools.

So, the quantity of video we can film in one session will go down… but if the quality improves on the other hand, that should be a good thing.

Alice and Caity did deliver a really good performance here again and their scuba experience paid off. The vintage Technisub FFM that Alice is wearing isn’t easy to handle with the lower straps and their locking mechanism. It’s also not very comfortable to dive with, especially in comparison to the OTS Guardian that Caity is using.

There is certainly room for improvement here, but all in all, I’m happy with how the video turned out for the limited time that was available.

Today I won’t present a scene or two, but an entire movie as you can watch the whole thing on Youtube for free.

I heard about this one quite a while ago, but it was recommended to me again as it surfaced on Youtube, thanks for that!

So, take the chance and grab the movie while you can… you never know how long it will be there…

If you like scuba scenes with women, then you should watch this movie 😉

Yeah, not a big Hollywood production but it offers plenty of scuba scenes with different types of gear and quite a lot of peril scenes as well 🙂

Personally, I’m not a fan of cave diving as I don’t see the big attraction that it seemingly has to some.

Yeah, plenty to explore… but not much to see there (for me) and it’s (more) dangerous in comparison to “normal” diving.

Certainly, a good environment though to produce good scuba peril scenes!

In my version, these three might have turned on each other to snatch the air reserves of each other 😉

All in all some good scenes, nothing spectacular… but you get a LOT of scuba content in these 80 minutes.

The complete “Eye of the Storm” TV show can now be found on Youtube!!!

I was looking for this TV show a loooooong time and now you can watch the complete show on Youtube!

Thanks to the great guy who contacted me about it!

I’m talking about “Eye of the Storm” a UK TV show for kids from 1993.

The show has only 6 episodes with about 25 minutes each.

So, what can possibly be interesting about a kids TV show?

Well, 2 brilliant scuba peril scenes!

Yeah, the picture quality is still not good, but I guess that is the best we might ever get.

I have now watched all the episodes and finally know the whole storyline.

Yeah, the show is for kids and the plan of the villainess is really… odd but still, this show is just fantastic!

Maybe the darkest TV show for kids I ever saw. #howtotraumatizechildren

I mean the whole show has only the length of one long movie, but still, Nell (played by Cordelia Bugeja) gets attacked TWICE while scuba diving!

The same evil guy tries to drown her twice! (and gets killed in the process)

Are there any other TV shows or movies that also have that? I doubt it….

Besides the two scuba peril scenes, there is only little in regard to scuba diving, but some scenes of her in wetsuit can be found in the episodes.

There are some scenes where she talks to her father (played by famous actor Bill Nighy!) about the first attack as the evil diver slices her air hose. Very interesting 🙂

At first, he won’t believe her and suggest that her air hose was cut by some rocks in the cave…

Here they all use the term “air line” which I actually never had heard before.

I guess that was used in the past and didn’t make it to the present times, maybe as you could confuse that easily with “airline” 😉

The dad, who actually is a diver as well, lets her teenage daughter dive alone in the whole show. He is never diving with her… quite bizarre when you see it from today’s perspective.

But this way we get the two fantastic scuba peril scenes as she faces the evil diver by herself.

The show has only the evilest cliffhangers as they simply end an episode twice in the middle of her being attacked in that cave.

Luckily that isn’t a problem when the whole show is available 🙂

Background info:

Alice is actually an experienced freediver so she can swim underwater for quite a while and that is what you can see in the video as she swims the full length of the pool back and forth!

And she still had some reserves left. Quite impressive if you ask me.

Also, she is really fast with these long freediver fins!

Of course, the time for one take here during a scuba fight is quite limited when one woman doesn’t have a scuba tank.

This was a quick video with only a very basic script but it turned up pretty good in my opinion.

As Caity is an experienced diver she didn’t have any problems with

her mask getting flooded during the fight. Next time the mask should be fully yanked off the head.

My initial plan was that Alice would

steal the regulator/Octopus of Caity at some point. But we weren’t 100% sure that a freediver could/should start breathing air from a tank, even at this low depth. I will have to do some research on that matter.

The new Subea wetsuit that Alice is wearing looks great on her and was a great bargain for just 60 Euros.

Right now the price is nearly twice as much in the shop where I bought it back then.

In the future, I might revisit this scenario to make a longer video with different outcomes.
