This scene was recommended to me by a nice user of this site. Thanks for that!
In this scene, we have a female freediver who fights a male scuba diver.
*EDIT* December 12: The women are some evil space invaders and he is the hero who wanna sabotage their evil plans… whatever they are.

I would say the scene was filmed in the ’60s or ’70s, and it looks like it was filmed from outside a water tank (uncool)… which may point to a very limited budget?!?
It is quite odd that he is lurking around… seemingly trying to ambush her.
But then they swim straight into each other immediately starting to fight. #ambushfail
*EDIT* December 12:
The movie is only available in the original Spanish language, so I don’t fully know what is going on.
Besides the fact that these women are evil and from outer space and kidnapping men from earth for …some reason 😉
But besides that I still have a ton of questions:
What exactly is he doing there?
Why is he ditching his perfectly fine scuba gear and swimming to the surface? And not even straight up?
Guess he has very little to no scuba experience.
I mean he nearly drowns…
Why does she let him go? Was she just supposed to scare him away?
Do these space women have special powers? Maybe she can even breathe underwater?
Maybe someone who can speak Spanish and knows the movie can answer some…
I have known this one for quite a while now but hadn’t made a post about it in all that time.
Time to change that!
This one is based one a true event… more on that later on.
We have a female diver and her new husband on their honeymoon vacation.
He persuaded her to go on some dives near the Great Barrier Reef.
And he has special plans for her…

Watch the video before you continue!
As I said before… this one is based on a real event where a husband killed his wife on their honeymoon vacation.
This leaves quite a bitter taste… as it makes the movie scene a little bit too “real”.
As you might know by now… I do enjoy scuba peril scenes a lot… but only if they are not happening in “real” life.
Knowing that this actually happened to a woman makes it difficult to watch… unless you separate the movie scene from reality.
My other issue with this scene is the fact that the most dramatic part isn’t shown on screen… the part where she drowns.
Seemingly he had turned her air off and then held onto her until she drowned.
There are some short flashback scenes about the scuba murder, but I am 99% sure that wasn’t shown there either.
Will re-watch the whole movie someday.
It’s good that she fights back, even though she has so little scuba training while he has much more experience.
It’s a little odd that she did not immediately head towards the surface after she knocked his mask off… but I guess she wasn’t sure that he actually was about to murder her.
All in all, it’s quite a strong scuba peril scene which is a little hard to watch… with the background knowledge.
Spoiler:
The husband gets convicted for her death, but gets a laughable sentence… here is the background story.
The villain and our frogwoman are diving down to the wreck again to collect some drugs.
Soon she won’t be “useful” to him anymore…. 😉

Watch the video before you continue!
I cut out some non-scuba scenes here to keep the video under a certain length… incl. a flashback scene of her as a kid and her father who dies in a boating disaster (storm).
Hmh… an interesting peril scene for sure!
You don’t see that often… a guy who knocks out a female diver and then locks her up underwater? Quite unique 🙂
But there are some weird aspects to it…
Yeah, he closes the heavy doors on her, and she might not get them open again, I’ll buy that.
But I think he has seen the openings in the deck structure before… so… why does he think that she can’t get out of there?
And what about that second knock that hits her dive mask?
She was unconscious already, was his idea to destroy the visor of the mask so that her mask would flood and she would basically drown while being unconscious?
If that was his plan… why didn’t he realize that the visor was still intact?
However he then just swims away…
Of course, I would have preferred if he would have sneaked up on her and sliced her air hose! That would have been awesome…
A real scuba fight between her and the villain would have been a great addition to the movie, but …no luck.
Her plan to attract one of the sharks to the villain by launching his BCD in his direction was interesting… also it was odd that they ignored him previously.
A very risky plan…
However, the whole scene is very interesting, and my highlight of the movie!
The scenes are often quite dark (lighting) but well that’s realistic after all ….down there it IS dark so we only have the flashlights of the divers.
All in all, I was positively surprised by this movie.
I mean I saw the trailer and just thought about another crappy shark movie with perhaps 30 seconds of scuba scenes… but no… I was wrong!
I do recommend that you check out the movie! I mean it’s not great, but entertaining enough with only about 85 minutes and has several scuba scenes in it.
Always good to get the chance to watch a new movie with some scuba scenes 🙂
P.S.:
Here is the odd/bad German Blu-ray cover:
Hmh…. not the best cover to promote the movie 😆
(The shark effects in the movie are quite ok for most of the time)
I know this scene for a while and it’s a fascinating one.
There is one major issue though that prevented this one from getting posted earlier:
The available picture quality is quite bad…
Hopefully, I will find a better source with hopefully much better picture quality and better colors.
But still, it is certainly a scene worth watching!

*EDIT* November 6: A got the full movie (still in crappy quality) … so I got some background info. These characters are working in the same company and
are performing underwater ballet! But they have some serious issues and so people get murdered.
I really love the scenario! A female diver who wants to drown a guy with the help of a rope. That’s unusual!
It’s hard to say how realistic this is. I mean the guy is very buoyant and she needs to be strong enough to keep him underwater.
Perhaps… if she has a lot of weight on her dive belt… that is doable.
It’s a common trope that the swimmer just tries to get away instead of attacking the diver which might be the best option.
I mean as long as he isn’t attacking her she can attack him again and again.
She has scuba gear incl. a mask, fins, and a tank… she is far better equipped than him.
If he would attack her he could eventually turn the tables by ripping off her mask and stealing her regulator.
But he just tries to get to the surface and just drowns… I guess the female swimmer could try to revive him, but she keeps following the frogwoman.
The frogwoman just swims away, which is quite odd. I mean she has a big advantage over the female swimmer as well, but maybe she was impressed by her fighting skills.
*EDIT* November 6: I checked to full movie to see what is happening after the villainess unmasks herself at the beach:
Well, she walks away, and the female swimmer follows her unnoticed until the villainess reaches a hotel and just walks in… still in wetsuit and with her scuba tank.
Sadly, the camera only shows it from behind… and the picture quality is bad.
Hopefully, a version with better quality is available somewhere!
A scene where a female swimmer fights against a female diver is VERY rare stuff….

*EDIT* November 6: The title is something like:
Underwater Ballet Murder Case – A midsummer nightmare!

Yeah… you are not dreaming… THAT really happened in that video! 😆
I don’t know where to start… #madness
Okay, purple frogwoman has a grudge against pink frogwoman for some reason.
She has the plan to sneakily kill her with a spear gun attack from behind…. ok. #unfair #unsportswomanslike
That is not so easy, especially as the tank is in the way, the target is moving and there is already some distance between them.
But ok, it’s doable…. more or less.
Here we already have these ridiculous switches between footage that was filmed in the ocean and footage that was filmed in the pool.
It’s SO obvious that I can’t believe that they thought it would be okay to do it like that.
It’s hilarious… but back to the two frogwomen:
The spear damages the air hose of Pinky… did she aim for that or was that pure luck?
It’s insane that Pinky isn’t aware at all that that happened.
She must have seen the spear that damaged the air hose and then must have passed her!
What about the noises? She didn’t hear the impact? She doesn’t notice at any time that her air hose is losing that much air? #noises
The villainess immediately flees the other way… why? She has had that spear gun, which quickly vanishes.
Immediately she gets stuck!? WHAT? HOW is this happening? Why can’t she get out?
So Pinky turns around… still not realizing all the bubbles and noises and rushes to save her murderous dive buddy.
The villainess gets rescued and immediately swims towards the surface without ever checking on Pinky. #worstdivebuddy
Then Pinky spits out her regulator, which is fully free-flowing…. why? IF the tank is empty already… which is extremely unrealistic… where are all these bubbles coming from??????
Why is she spitting out the regulator in the first place? So many questions!!!!
Ok, then the villainess is on the surface, and for some magical reason, the unconscious/dead Pinky is already on the surface as well 😆
And now the villainess is crying and all broken up about that Pinky isn’t in the best shape. #Whatisgoingon
Moments ago she tried to murder her… but ok… seemingly the fact that Pinky “saved” her ….made them best friends again….. 😆
…oh my god!
This script is so criminally insane, that it is very funny.
A real shame how they managed to obliterate a really good situation.
We have two frogwomen, and one wants to kill the other one! That could lead to a great scuba fight and some great peril moments.
But it turned into an absurd comedy.

I don’t have an IMDB link for that one.
But as far as I know, the English title is “Fiery Passion” a TV show, the episode number is 30 and it was made/aired in 1992.

Yesterday I watched a new Netflix documentary movie.
Official synopsis (with some spoilers):
Descending to remarkable depths below the sea on one single breath, Alessia Zecchini enters what she describes as the last quiet place on Earth. The Italian champion is determined to set a new world record in freediving, a dangerous extreme sport in which competitors attempt to reach the greatest depth without the use of scuba gear. Freedivers are often subject to blackouts upon ascent, necessitating the help of safety divers like Stephen Keenan, a free-spirited Irish adventurer who fell in love with the sport in Dahab, Egypt. Having formed a special bond on the freediving circuit, Alessia and Stephen train together so she can make an attempt on Dahab’s legendary Blue Hole and its challenging 85-foot-long tunnel 184 feet below the Red Sea. Their fates are inextricably bound together by a tragic event that ensues.

I didn’t know anything about these two and was totally surprised by the storyline and the ending.
The documentary is very interesting and quite moving… wasn’t expecting that.
And it has plenty of women in sexy smooth skin wetsuits 🙂
