One of the worst done scuba drownings you will ever see (…made for TV)

Oh boy! Have I promised too much? 😉

First of all, this deserves an award for the worst “score”. Gruesome music deluxe!

These two insanely cut gearing-up scenes… 😆

And no kids, you can’t dive in the ocean with a 5-minute introduction to your scuba gear… #reckless

But the main issue is: How the hell did these two drown?

I haven’t seen this crazy Mexican 90s telenovela, so I don’t have the context.

Theory 1:

She is low on air and wants to ascend to the surface

He wants her to stay, as he wants to continue the dive, as he maybe thinks that they have still enough oxygen left.

She slaps the regulator out of his mouth; he immediately drowns(!!!!!) #wtf

Her tank is completely empty at the same time(!!!), and she just can’t reach the surface anymore.

And for some reason she doesn’t use his tank. (!!!)

Theory 2:

She is low on air and wants to ascend to the surface.

That is fine for him, as he actually wants to drown her. #strangemethod

…the rest stays the same…

 

I think theory 1 is more likely… but anyhow… what an insane scene!

So, what do you guys think?

Was he trying to drown her? Or was he just reckless?

What was the scriptwriter thinking? And what drugs did he take? 😆

For me, all those insane elements ruin the scene in terms of real suspense.

But it is certainly a remarkable scene…for some wrong reasons 😉
