So, it’s time for the next “Project F” video of the last video shoot from August!

This is video 41, the fifth from the 6th video shoot.

In this video, Frogwomen Rachel and Eva testing their scuba combat skills in 6 rounds of action!

Like in Video 33, there is a second camera in use to get the ego perspective (and breathing sounds) of one of them.

This time ….the camera was directly mounted onto the scuba mask for a better perspective!

Well, it’s a training scenario….

Background info:

This was the second video we shot that day and the first time the training knives were used.

In one round, they both had a knife… and it got quite… wild 😆

I think it is easier if only one knife is involved, as both can concentrate on that one weapon instead of thinking about 2 at the same time.

My plan was that they would wear the scuba mask with the camera mount rotative … but somehow I totally forgot about that during the video shoot 🙁

So, you will get only the perspective from Eva in the B video and see very little of her ….while Rachel is on camera all the time.

I am very happy about the scuba mask mount, though, I think it worked really well and created a very interesting perspective!

You will find frogwoman Alice (security diver) and myself (camera) in Video B in the background sometimes, as it isn’t fully avoidable to get into the view of camera B here and there.

It was the first Project F video for Eva, but she quickly adapted and they both performed really well.

The “scuba combat training” series works with only very few instructions… which makes it very easy (and quickly) to film.

I will think about if that is the best way or not. Maybe I will script them more… just a little.

But I have to admit… I like to be surprised here and there.

Well, Clip4sale are a bunch of cutthroats that want 40%(!) of each video that you sell.

Yes, they offer those videos to a wide audience, but I don’t wanna give someone 40% for “just” providing the platform to sell the videos.

Also, that would mean that YOU would have to pay a lot more to get the videos…

I guess I could have made more money if my videos were on Clip4sale… but well, I won’t do it.

I will check out other sites like Vimeo though, if that would be an option or not.

The future of Project F?

I will release a new video from this video shoot every 2 weeks until 2024 is finished (this one today, and then 2 each month until the end of 2024)

I have at least 9 videos in total that will be released from this video shoot, so the rest of the year is covered with new releases 🙂

In 2025, the next video shoot in that (deep) pool will be in early March, and then a lake video shoot in the summer (finally!!!).

So, there will be many more new videos for the VIP club for sure!

Background info:

This is Frogwoman Eva’s debut in the Project F series.

She already has an incredible experience with scuba diving even at her young age.

She didn’t have any experience with the OTS Guardian FFM, but she quickly adapted to it as well.

You will see that frogwoman Rachel is using a certain special breathing apparatus that you should know…. 😉

Yeah, it’s a 3D-printed version of the one that Sean Connery (and his stunt double) used in Thunderball!

Spoiler alert: Much like the original… it isn’t actually working, but here in the scenario it certainly does!

So… Rachel is actually freediving while using it during the video shoot.

That meant that she had to return to the surface whenever her lungs were empty.

As it wasn’t used in video shoot 5… I finally wanted to build it into a video.

In combination with the red wetsuit, I wanted to have some… Jane Bond vibes 😉

Some day in the future I wanna have a full “Jane Bond VS Emilia Largo” fight… but I need some more gear and gadgets for that.

This video shoot was made at the end of the first “shift” and time was very limited due to some problems we had encountered earlier (new shift = (some) new frogwomen).

I wish there had been more time for this one, but at least I did some re-takes of the ending.

The video got a little shorter than anticipated, but that way you get to see 2 alternative takes of the ending… and I am sure that you will like those as well!

So, it’s time for the first “Project F” video of the last video shoot from just a week ago!

This is video 37, the first from the 6th video shoot.

In this video, frogwomen Kara and Scarlett are practicing their scuba combat skills for several rounds of training!

Background info:

This is Frogwoman Scarlett’s debut in the Project F series.

She is the youngest participant so far and had no scuba experience at all before this video shoot.

She received the usual scuba crash course from a qualified frogwoman/safety diver just minutes before we recorded this video.

I think she did really well, and you can already see her progression from round to round as she learns.

Frogwoman Kara has been in all 6 video shoots so far, and you can see that in her fighting skills, even though she still isn’t a certified diver.

Both frogwomen wear a Camaro Speedskin. Kara is wearing the “normal” version, and Scarlett is wearing the shorty.

This is actually the first time a frogwoman is wearing a shorty… and I am looking forward to the feedback on that.

This is also the first time that a training knife was used in any Project F videos of mine.

I think they are really good for such a scenario and have good quality, so they don’t look cheap.

I hope you like the new videos as well and get VIP memberships.

After all, this video shoot with 9 hours, 4 frogwomen, and 2 women for safety diver/surface help was …quite expensive.

A vintage frogwoman wants to catch a huge octopus

Time for some more vintage scuba!

Here we have a frogwoman in vintage scuba gear and she is trying to catch an octopus!

Well, not only do we have a vintage frogwoman with a double hose regulator here… but even in color as well! 🙂

This documentary is seemingly from 1971 when the double hose regulators were disappearing more and more from scuba diving. 🙁

She has quite an interesting combo of scuba gear, and the double hose regulator is certainly my highlight in this video.

Very cool how she handled the octopus! I was hoping it might play a little with her intake air hose… but well, that octopus was just on the defense the whole time.

Maybe SPECTRE should think about training some of those creatures for further underwater warfare 😉

The guy had some more problems and even his mask was flooded in the process… but he handled the situation well and didn’t panic.

I’m totally honest with you guys:

This one is kind of a mixed bag for me.

In terms of what I originally planned… this was a disappointment for me, I admit that. And that was very much my fault.

But… if I ignore my plans for this scenario… I think that it turned out to be a really good video!

You don’t know these plans, and I bet that many or most of you guys will like or love the final result 😉

I will provide more info on my original plans inside the VIP club.

The main video got quite short already, even with an added intro.

The shorter version is even …well… shorter as it doesn’t have the intro and it has one major cut, which makes sense… but is …kind of… unsexier.

I will let you decide which version you prefer.

To make it up to you folks, I edited a third video that contains a good 3 minutes of “Behind the scenes” footage.

I am sure that you will like that one!

It offers an alternative take of the main scene, PLUS a unique view of the things that happen underwater between the takes.

Frogwoman Alice is guest-starring in her role as the safety diver in that one.

Perhaps I will add some pictures of the “Behind the Scenes” video, even though they will contain certain spoilers.

This is the first video where my Dräger PA 61 double hose regulator was used and it performed well.

I am very thankful that it was successfully restored to working condition just 2 weeks before the video shoot.

So, it’s time for the fourth “Project F” video in 2024!

In this video, Korra is diving around to test her new FFM.

Suddenly she finds a golden coin…. and before she knows it… she gets attacked by 2 frogwomen!

Background info:

I told Korra to dive around with the selfie stick for 3-4 minutes or so… but I guess time was flying by for her.

In the end, she was diving around for over 7 minutes, so I had to cut that down for the video to around 4 minutes.

It was her first time with such an FFM, and she did very well and could equalize without problems (which is more difficult with such an FFM).

With the camera close by you can hear her breathing really well and don’t have the normal background breathing sounds of the camera guy (me).

I think these 2 vs 1 scenarios are quite interesting and have a lot of potential.

I am glad that the Camaro Speedskin that Frogwoman Uma wore in the very first video shoot could be used again, as it fits Kara really well.

You can see how weird wetsuit sizes can be, as that Camaro Speedskin is an XL, and Kara normally wears M.

So, it’s time for the third “Project F” video in 2024!

This is video 33 and the third from the 5th video shoot.

In this video, Rachel, Lucy, and Alice are testing their scuba combat skills in 5 rounds of scuba action!

Yeah, I know… I already made several videos with this scenario in the past, but this one is… very special 🙂

For the first time in my Project F, a second camera was used to film from a POV perspective of one of the frogwomen.

So… actually, you will get 2 videos (A + B) here! Ok, they show the same action… but from two different perspectives!

In video 33A you will have the normal perspective from the camera that I used as I filmed the action.

In video 33B you will have the special perspective from one of the frogwomen with a camera that was mounted on them!

That means that you will get very close to the other frogwoman and that you will hear the breathing of each frogwoman much better than before.

You might wanna consider which video to watch first 😉

Well, it’s a training scenario….

Background info:

I invested the money to buy a second GoPro before the last video shoot, as I wanted to use 2 cameras simultaneously in a video.

I especially wanted to test how it would look (and sound) when you would mount a camera on one of the frogwomen during the fight.

In rounds 1 and 2, I tested the head mount as the camera was strapped to Lucy’s head in these two.

I don’t know how I came up with the brilliant idea to mount it on her hood instead of under it… 😆 #fail

It doesn’t look good filmed from the view of the main camera, and also the camera can be dislocated unintentionally… as you can see at the end of round 2 😉

However, I think that this camera angle might be the better one in comparison as it follows the head movement of the frogwoman.

In rounds 3 to 5 we had the camera mounted/strapped on the chest of Rachel, where it was blended in well with her black suit.

Certainly an interesting perspective as well, even that doesn’t follow her.

In video 33B, you will sometimes see Alice (as safety diver) or myself (with camera) in the background. 

I thought about cutting out these parts or blurring the two of us… but I think it’s better to leave that unedited.

I added the info with the round number for the length of both videos, so it would be easier to know which round is currently running.

Especially in comparison with videos A and B.

In the future, I might also try a video where 2 cameras are mounted on one frogwoman…

…and then I could use the best footage from each camera for a video that is completely shown from her perspective.

If I don’t make enough money with these videos….. I won’t be able to make new videos at some point.

I would say that is quite a bargain!

Why are my videos not on sites like Clip4sale?

Well, Clip4sale are a bunch of cutthroats that want 40%(!) of each video that you sell.

Yes, they offer those videos to a wide audience, but I don’t wanna give someone 40% for “just” providing the platform to sell the videos.

Also, that would mean that YOU would have to pay a lot more to get the videos…

I guess I could have made more money if my videos were on Clip4sale… but well, I won’t do it.

I will check out other sites like Vimeo though, if that would be an option or not.

The future of Project F?

I will upload another new Project F video from this video shoot every 2 weeks from now on…. 6 in total!

In the summer, I wanna finally have my first video shoot in a lake (June?)

And there will be another video shoot this year in this cool deep pool …around September.

So, there will be many more new videos for the VIP club for sure!

A deadly scuba fight inside a sunken airplane! [Hall of Fame]

This one is quite a blast! And I think many will like this one … a LOT! 😉

This scene actually made it to my Hall of Fame as shows something very rare.

I am very happy about every new scuba scene… especially a big caliber like this one!

Well…. have I promised too much? I hope not….

First, some background story as this scene is a flashback:

“The real Elliot Stanley was a diver, who Frank McDonnell hired to find a downed plane which his father had been on. His father had called him telling him he had important information to

share but had died on the plane before he could show him.

Hoping to find what was inside, Frank hired Elliot. However, Elliot had also become acquainted with Niamh Cassidy, and had travelled down to the plane with her.

While there, she handcuffed him to the plane and sliced his breathing apparatus with a knife, killing him so he couldn’t reveal the truth of what had been found there.”

Ok, there are some minus points here for sure:

It’s quite a dark scene, even with some added light by me. Ok, it’s realistic as they dive down quite deep and have only their small lights.

It’s uncool that there hasn’t been any surface shot before the dive… especially as they have such cool vintage scuba gear.

Also… it’s not good that his drowning isn’t shown at all. She exists the plane and the rest is left to the imagination.

 

But… there is a LOT of great aspects in this one for me!

There is a female scuba diver who attacks a male diver and kills him… that is incredibly rare stuff! I know only 3 or 4 scenes where that happens in the movies or in a TV show.

The scuba hear is great. Seems like this is set in the 70s or 80s with these suits. They both have great vintage wetsuits. What is really interesting is that both divers seemingly have “armored”

air hose with some protective encasing around the regular air hose.

That is quite unusual and also … weird. I mean you can see her protector just around most of the hose while some parts aren’t protected by it.

But ok, this way only certain parts of her hose can be sliced.

Perhaps both used this extra protection as they were diving into a wreck … which often has some sharp edges.

Or are they both prepared for a scuba knife fight? 😉

 

It’s funny and unrealistic that his air hose basically explodes as her knife is just touching it 😆

It’s actually quite difficult to slice such a hose… as I have proven in some of my Project F videos 😉

I really like how she planned this whole thing. She ties him up first, which he realizes very quickly and then she attacks with her knife.

He isn’t helpless and also has a knife. She cuts into his arm, so his defense is down as she slices his air hose.

She is out of his reach and so he is doomed to drown in that plane.

I love all the sounds that he makes in this scene! I guess they added some in post-production, a great job 🙂

He immediately realizes that he is in big trouble and you can hear that from the start.

Also, I do love the reveal of the scuba killer!

How she walks out of the water, that she ditches some gear, and that you can only see from behind how she pulls off her scuba hood.

The audience has still no clue who that is or how she looks until the camera moves around her and shows her face in that phone booth.

A great reveal for sure!

So, it’s time for the second new “Project F” video in 2024!

This is video 32 and the second from the 5th video shoot.

In this video, a certain female thief wants to retrieve some stolen diamonds.

But a greedy female Cop wants to get her hands on them too!

And a female vigilante wants to catch the thief….

Well, this video is certainly a little different. I hope you like it!

That is why I sent links to the VIP club members yesterday to surprise them with the video link without them having had the chance to see any “spoilering” pictures, text,  or the trailer today.

As you may know, I do have another blog: Maskripper.org

So I do have some masks in store… so I thought why not mix it up a little?

For a long time already, I have been fascinated by masked women like Batgirl, Catwoman, Black Scorpion etc.

So I wanted to create a scuba video with such masked women.

The Batgirl cowl (Arkham video games style) is a high-quality piece that was certainly not cheap and is handcrafted.

The Catwoman cowl (“Batman Returns” style) is solid but nothing fancy… a mass-produced mask.

The first challenge was that you can’t wear a normal scuba mask on top of such a mask, as they would flood when the scuba mask isn’t 100% on the skin (#noseal).

Kara wore a (noseless) freediving mask under the cowl, which worked really well.

That Batgirl cowl isn’t very tight, and the rubber material is quite flexible. It was a good fit with the scuba hood and the freediving mask.

I had planned that Korra would wear black swimming goggles under that Catwoman cowl… and we tried to make it work, but those goggles didn’t fit well enough under that tight mask.

So, Plan B was activated when we tried the swimming goggles that Alice had provided for the video shoot. Luckily, that worked out, even though the tight Catwoman mask made it difficult as well.

But Korra patiently tried several options, and it worked out!

Batgirl and Catwoman could have worn more unique costumes with special suits etc. … but that wasn’t possible within the budget.

Of course, you can get pretty cheap suits for both of these characters… but they look pretty crappy…. so they wore regular smooth-skin wetsuits in black.

I would have loved to get some nice iconic claws for Catwoman… but well, any sort of claws, even plastic ones… are problematic when smooth skin wetsuits are involved.

Smooth-skin wetsuits look great… but they certainly are pretty fragile. That’s why the frogwomen on my video shoots mostly wear gloves when getting in or out of them. (#fingernails).

In the future, I wanna make another video with Batgirl and Catwoman, and then add some more gadgets and costume pieces.

Without regular scuba masks, Kara and Korras’ noses were exposed to the water. That was pretty unusual to them… but they quickly managed to adapt to it very well!

We made multiple takes of some scenes, but still… I wish wehad  made some more. But all that mask/goggles testing took quite some time.

All in all, I think the video turned out pretty good, and the 3 did a great job!

It is the first video here with Korra, and her vast scuba experience paid off as she had the role with the longest screen time in this video.
