“Swimmer VS Frogwoman” – test video [15th video of Project F – 2nd video shoot]

So, it’s time for the fourth video of the 2nd video shoot of “Project F”!

As mentioned in the previous posts, the videos from that shoot will be pretty short, but action-packed, as we tried some simple action scenarios.

In this video, you can find 2 takes as we tried a “Swimmer VS Frogwoman” scenario.

Swimmer Kara and Frogwoman Lucy in “Swimmer VS Frogwoman”, 1080p, 60 frames, 1:47 minutes

+ a short teaser:

Video contains:

1 frogwoman, 1 swimmer with a snorkel mask, neoprene, 2 smooth skin wetsuits, scuba peril, scuba fight, modern scuba gear,

1 hood, fins

Lethal or non-lethal ending for at least one of them?

Spoiler title
Non-lethal

Background info:

I think the “Swimmer VS Diver” scenario is always interesting, even though most of these rare scenarios in the movies end with the death of the swimmer in 99% of all cases.

I would like to build in some surprises in a long, scripted version so it won’t be the standard outcome. Or maybe the expected outcome and some surprises on the way to it. I won’t spoil it here 😉

In these two test takes, we tested that scenario.

Several problems make this scenario challenging.

First of all the swimmer has no air source underwater (surprise!) and therefore she can’t stay down for long during such a fight. That makes filming more difficult, of course.

We tested in the shallow end of the pool to stay on the safe side. In the long and scripted version, I would like to use the deep end.

The swimmer has no weights, so she is very buoyant, especially as she is wearing a full neoprene suit here, which increases her buoyancy. The diver must pull her underwater and keep her there… which isn’t very easy.

In the full-scripted long video, we will add more weights to the frogwoman, which should help, even if it will make normal swimming more difficult for her. Perhaps she will wear a 2nd weight belt that she would drop once her evil job is finished. 😉

The snorkel mask we used here isn’t so good for the scenario.

At the end of take 1, the mask started to fill with water, which wasn’t supposed to happen as Frogwoman Lucy didn’t attack it prior.

Maybe we use swimming goggles for the long, scripted video.

Fun facts:

At the very end of take 2, you can see how Kara yanked the mask of Lucy away from her face so it flooded completely.

The first time that Frogwoman Lucy was blind underwater and close to defeat.

I used some filters (10% more brightness in gamma and gain, text).

It’s pretty simple, I had to spend a lot of money:

All that scuba gear, location rent, and the money for the frogwomen….

If I don’t make enough money with these videos….. I won’t be able to make new videos at some point.

So…. I hope you appreciate these videos and want to see more in the future!

P.S.:

I invested quite some money in a modern FFM!

Frogwoman Lucy in “Vintage dive” [14th video of Project F – 2nd video shoot]

So, it’s time for the third video of the 2nd video shoot of “Project F”!

This time, one day early, as I am away tomorrow.

As I mentioned in the previous posts the videos from that shoot will be pretty short, but action-packed as we tried some simple action scenarios.

Frogwoman Lucy in “Vintage Dive”, 1080p, 60 frames, 2:34 minutes

Some preview pictures:

+ a short teaser:

Video contains:

1 frogwoman, neoprene, smooth skin wetsuit, vintage scuba gear, vintage mask, double hose regulator, surface scene, gear up-scene,

1 hood, fins

Lethal or non-lethal ending?

Spoiler title
Non-lethal

Background info:

On the first video shoot, Frogwoman Alice dove with the Royal Mistral connected with double hoses to a vintage Techniscub FFM (video 1).

Frogwoman Uma tested the Royal Mistral double hose regulator in another video (video 9).

This time, I added a vintage-style scuba mask to the scuba gear so Frogwoman Lucy would be fully in vintage gear that looks like it could have been from the 60s.

So I created a short video with her in that gear, incl. some surface shots of her getting ready for the dive!

For me, it can’t get much better in terms of scuba gear than this combo.

And she will be in this gear in another video with action! (my favorite one from that video shoot)

In the future, I wanna include longer “getting into the scuba gear” scenes at the beginning of some videos.

Spoiler title
As you can see, the mask is pretty “flat” with little room for the nose. During the shoot, I didn’t notice that the tip of her nose was pressed against the glass of the mask. That happens if you stare at the tiny screen of the camera all the time (she didn’t notice it either). Certainly, I should have checked that more carefully, but it only fully showed underwater.

Well, I learned another lesson.

Another frogwoman will wear this mask at the next shooting.

But ok, only a small issue, as this is a short video and she is only facing the camera for some short scenes.

Fun facts:

Frogwoman Lucy also had no problem to also dive with this vintage double hose regulator from the 60s.

I guess you won’t find many young women like her who have diving experience with such old vintage gear. Especially since she doesn’t have a scuba certificate.

Editing:

I used some filters (10% more brightness in gamma and gain, text).

As I mentioned before, the audio here was challenging, with a sound the camera picked up from the pool machinery.

I tried a lot with the audio since that sound is here more annoying than in the other videos that have more action and noise.

I edited the audio track of the underwater part to reduce the noise and simultaneously not affect the wanted audio.

And the result is quite good, I would say.

Frogwomen Ruby and Lucy in “Treasure hunt” [13th video of Project F – 2nd video shoot]

So, it’s time for the second video of the 2nd video shoot of “Project F”!

Also, the video premiere of Frogwoman Ruby!

Sorry for the delay! Some logistical problems had to be solved first…

As I mentioned in the previous post, the videos from that shoot will be pretty short, but action-packed, as we tried some simple action scenarios.

2 hoods, fins, regulator stealing, fight over treasure

Lethal or non-lethal ending for at least one of them?

Spoiler title
Non-lethal

Background info:

This is the first video with Frogwoman Ruby in action! And she did a fine job without any prior scuba experience. She used to play underwater rugby in the past for a while and that may be the reason why she is pretty fearless and was a good match for Frogwoman Lucy. 🙂

She also had no problems

Spoiler title
with Lucy closing the air valve on her tank (we tested it once on the surface).

Sometimes it wasn’t easy for me to keep up with the two, as they made good use of the space they had in that deep pool as they swam at a pretty high pace.

At the beginning of the video (before the fight), you will notice

Spoiler title
blue bars over certain small areas of the screen (for about 20 seconds in total).

Sorry for that, but the frogwomen are visible all the time, so it’s not such a big issue. I had to do it since the security diver was visible in these parts of the video and …..well…. he wasn’t supposed to be visible 😉 A mistake that won’t happen again.

I was glad that I could use the stunning Cressi Triton suit this time, and it looked great on Ruby. Perhaps I will buy that suit again in M or L.

I found it as a real bargain (in comparison to its normal price) in size S. But that suit is too small for most women …in this size…

For a test video that has basically no script, I am really happy with the result. It was a good test to see how the Frogwomen would handle such a fight scene and react to certain aspects.

Certainly wanna use that “fight over treasure” scenario in the future again, but then with a detailed script (incl. storyline), and a proper ending.

Fun facts:

Check out how Ruby is clearing her mask in the background as Lucy has found the gold coin.

The gold coin was a standard Greek coin (from before they got the Euro as well).

Editing:

I used some filters (10% more brightness in gamma and gain, text).

As I mentioned before, the audio here was challenging, with a sound the camera picked up from the pool machinery.

So far, I haven’t figured out how to suppress that sound without damaging the “wanted” audio. But well, it isn’t really a big issue here as the 3 regulators here make a lot of noise so that background noise isn’t really distracting (as you can hear in the preview teaser video above).

Frogwomen Kara and Lucy in “Scuba Spy” [12th video of Project F – 2nd video shoot]

So, it’s time for the first video of the 2nd video shoot of “Project F”!

As I mentioned in the previous post, the videos from that shoot will be pretty short, but action-packed as we tried some simple action scenarios.

Frogwomen Kara and Lucy in “Scuba Spy”, 1080p, 60 frames, 2:25 minutes

+ a short teaser:

Video contains:

2 frogwomen, neoprene, 2 smooth skin wetsuits (one of them vintage style-beavertail), scuba peril, scuba fight, modern scuba gear, regulator steal, hoods (2 of 2), fins, scuba spy

Lethal or non-lethal ending for at least one of them?

Spoiler title
Non-Lethal

Background info:

I do know 2 movies/TV shows that have this “Diver takes pictures and gets attacked” scenario. James Bond in Thunderball and the frogwoman in the “Silk Stalkings” TV show.

And in the future, I wanna make a version with a detailed script where a frogwoman takes pictures of some secret stuff and gets attacked by an evil frogwoman who wants to stop her (and kill her).

For this video, I used only some basic instructions on what the two should and could do, and it was a one-shot without any re-shoots.

My camera was a little shaky in the first few seconds. I’m pretty new to the whole filming aspect, and it’s not easy to totally focus on the tiny camera screen when such a scene happens in real life right before you 😉

It was also not easy to follow these two with the camera, but I think it worked out quite well, even though it’s a bit of a challenge to move around in 3 dimensions and stay in a good position to the moving action.

I am very happy about how the 2 frogwomen (Kara + Lucy) did such an action scene underwater! I mean, the two have basically no scuba experience and only had that mini scuba session from the first video shoot back in December. I am glad they returned for another video shoot!

They were really brave and the scene worked out pretty fine in my opinion.

Frogwoman Lucy really likes to steal regulators and likes to be a scuba villainess 😉

We had only 5 hours to shoot, and a LOT of time was needed to assemble the gear and all that. And I wanted to get several quick scenarios done in that time to gain experience in shooting underwater action scenes.

I will write detailed scripts for the next shooting, as long as these videos generate enough money to cover at least the expenses.

Yeah, the video here is short, but it has a rather long scuba fight (90% of the runtime). In the end, most scuba fights in movies or TV shows are much shorter in the end.

With a detailed script, I wanna make a video with this scenario that will have at least 5 or 6 minutes.

But we made a 2nd version of this fight, I will post that in the next weeks as well.

Fun fact:

At first, the fight was supposed to be about the camera but that quickly floated out of sight and mind (can be seen on the surface in the last seconds).

Next time, I will need to add some weight to the camera 😉

Weekend post and VIP club news + Recomendation!

I am away over the weekend as I am leaving the country for a short vacation/city visit.

So, there won’t be a post on Sunday this week.

Also, the VIP club will get its monthly update, a little later than usual….on August 3!

That means the VIP club members will receive the password as well on August 3.

So, please be patient, it will come 😉

I will reply to emails of course, but only once or twice a day.

But I do have a recommendation for you folks!

My TV magazine recommended a documentary named “Waterwoman” some weeks ago which is currently still running on German TV.

I watched all 4 episodes and it was quite fascinating.

It’s about German freediving champion Anna von Boetticher who is holding several national records.

In these episodes, she is diving in Mexiko, Iceland, the Acores, and (under) Budapest…. and she is wearing smooth skin wetsuits while doing so 😉

Yeah, she isn’t exactly the youngest (52), but she looks great in these suits, is highly skilled and the episodes offer great pictures of beautiful underwater landscapes!

So I really recommend watching the episodes, even though there are some obstacles for folks outside Germany.

Yeah, the audio is German and the episodes are only available online here if you are in Germany:

https://www.ardmediathek.de/sendung/waterwoman/staffel-1/Y3JpZDovL25kci5kZS80ODA2/1

But with a little trick, you might be able to travel to Germany realllllly fast! 😉

*EDIT* February 2024:

A second season is now available!

A frogwoman in a black vintage style Elios wetsuit and Technisub FFM – [Reco]

Just a quick post for today as I don’t have enough time.

Many of you will know this Instagram account by now, but for those who don’t, check out her Instagram account …and also her Youtube channel (linked on her Insta):

https://www.instagram.com/aryasdiveart/

A preview:

Well, I mentioned several times how much I love that Technisub FFM and that Elios suit is a great addition!

The same type of Elios suit was used on the first video I published for “my Project F” last year.

This mask is similar but don’t have the side mounting like mine has, here the regulator gets connected in the center piece of the mask.

All in all a really great assembly of scuba gear!

She would certainly be a great frogwoman for the SPECTRE scuba team 🙂

What do you think of this gear and her pictures?

The Frogwoman and the shark [UPGRADE]

And another classic scene that deserves to get a decent UPGRADE!

This was the old post:

https://frogwoman.org/the-frogwoman-and-the-shark

Today I wanna post a full HD video with proper text for this sexy scene!

Preview:

And here is the video:

As you can see I made some cuts in the last part of the video. Well, I wanted to keep the length of the video to a certain size and besides that, she isn’t in these scenes that I cut out.

I recommend watching the whole movie if you like movies like Jaws. This one is pretty good and it has one GREAT feature for me: A fantastic score by grandmaster Ennio Morricone which really makes this movie stand out in comparison to others of this genre (+good actors).

Ok, back to this scene.

Her whole scuba gear is pretty close to perfection to me! This vintage wetsuit just looks awesome 🙂

Ok, I would prefer a vintage double hose regulator for her, but that classic single hose regulator is very nice as well.

From today’s point of view, it looks rather….odd, that she (who is a marine biologist) is hiding between the rocks as a shark approaches. But ok, a great white shark does look menacing, even he is not nearly as dangerous in reality as in the movies. But back in the old days nearly everyone thought that all sharks would be very dangerous, especially after Jaws.

However, it’s a thrilling scene to see her squeeze herself between these rocks.

It’s a fun scene later on as well, as the rough captain yells at the diver (he thought it was a man) and she then pulls back her hood to reveal her long hair.

Yeah, that sight of her in that wetsuit made him speechless for a moment.

Who could blame him? 😉

Charlotte Rampling did look pretty good back then. She was around 30 as the movie was shot, and that wetsuit is just very sexy.

In my version, she would hide from the shark as well but would damage her air hose as she would leave the rocks. Even that would be hard to do in a realistic fashion. Perhaps it got stuck there 😉

So, with the shark close by and her losing a lot of air…. you would have a little more thrill! 😉

An actress gets attacked by an evil female scuba diver! [UPGRADE]

This was one of my earliest posts:

https://frogwoman.org/swimmer-gets-attacked-by-mysterious-female-diver

….and I wanna make a new post about it as this one deserves a proper post with proper text!

And by making a new post I wanna present that scene/the movie to all folks who don’t know the original post from 2013.

This one is very special to me, and I wanna explain why, but first, check out some preview pictures and the video.

Preview:

And here is the video:

Ok, some backstory first.

The woman who walks into the lake is playing an actress in a movie…in the movie. She is the leading lady.

The villainess already killed off some folks throughout the movie with various methods (drowning (no UW footage), bow and arrow, etc.).

So, at the very beginning, you can see the safety diver who was supposed to look out for the actress in the lake has already been murdered (wasn’t shown in the movie).

She has the same type of wetsuit as he does, she is well-prepared.

And damn, I just love her wetsuit, she looks great in that smooth skin wetsuit 🙂

The way the camera moves higher on her body and she puts on her scuba mask….well done!

What is funny is the fact that her first stage is on the wrong side, her left side….and so the regulator is also wrong as it is upside-down in her mouth (the exhale on top).

Reminds me of the scuba scene with Claudine Auger in Thunderball, where the same mistake happened.

Seems like the filming crew here didn’t know much about scuba diving 😉

Later on, as she is underwater the mistake is corrected.

The “good” woman is wearing a wetsuit and scuba socks under her coat they don’t bother hiding it especially as she is out of the water again in the end. But I guess she was wearing that for the filming of that scene of the movie that they shot inside this movie…..quite confusing 😆

Underwater, there are two main problems for me.

The visibility is quite bad and I guess therefore the camera is very close to the two women, too close sometimes.

But I love the breathing sounds of the villainess and the fact that the other woman fights back, she isn’t totally passive like other women in other movies.

Several times she tries to steal the regulator of the villainess….. so great!

The villainess “only” needs to keep her underwater, even though that would be pretty difficult in reality, as the other woman has no weights on her and is even wearing a wetsuit!

I think it would be hard to keep her from surfacing, but okay, it’s only a small issue.

It’s also a little off that the guy immediately finds the two in a murky lake and without a scuba mask. Yeah, there are bubbles from the regulator of the villainess, but I think it would be really difficult to find them quickly. Especially without a scuba mask.

It’s a shame that the detective was already in scuba gear and disturbs the villainess.

A shame that the villainess here wasn’t able to put up more of a fight. Quickly he yanks down her mask hard and thereby also removes her regulator. With one swift move, she is finished.

Seemingly he quickly yanks down her scuba hood as soon they hit the surface because her hood is already down as the camera shows her.

I love the way she looks as they drag her away in her gorgeous scuba outfit!

And the whole idea of having this villainess putting on that scuba gear to sneakily kill a woman in a film shooting is just brilliant and quite ….sexy….for me.

I mean it’s incredibly rare to have a frogwoman who tries to kill someone. Especially in such a sexy wetsuit!

This villainess here is one of my favorite villainesses of all time.

And even though the scuba scene has quite some flaws, I will make an entry in the Hall of Fame, where you already can find a special “wetsuit cut” video of this scene!

Would have loved to see how she would have escaped from the lake in her wetsuit…

Frogwoman Uma with Mares Abyss regulator + bonus scenes with a Cressi snorkel mask [11th video of Project F]

[Post 2 of 2 for today]

I presented another one today already, scroll down to check that out as well.

In this one, Frogwoman Uma is diving with a Mares Abyss regulator. In bonus scenes, she is diving with a Cressi snorkel mask

In both parts, she is wearing a Camaro Speedskin wetsuit.

The filming for this video here was done by the friendly Divemaster.

Frogwoman Uma with Mares Abyss regulator + bonus scenes with a Cressi snorkel mask, 1080p, 60 frames, 3:58 minutes

Some preview pictures:

Video contains:

1 frogwoman, neoprene, smooth skin wetsuit, modern scuba gear, hood, no fins, one part with Cressi snorkel mask

There is a short sequence where Frogwoman Uma starts at the door and then walks into the pool. So, there is a very short “surface” scene in this one as well.

There was quite some material available for this video and I chose the best parts to make a good runtime of under 4 minutes.

The lighting was quite good here for the most part as these scenes were shot early in the day with sunlight coming through the windows.

Even we had to close the curtains so that no one would be able to see into the room 😉

Editing:

I used the same filters as before (white balance, 10% more brightness in the shadows, text).

The original/raw footage was longer than this cut, but I cut quite some stuff.

Where to watch it?

This video isn’t available in the VIP club anymore, as the videos from video shoot 1 were removed from the VIP club when the new videos from video shoot 6 came in.

But it can still be purchased in a video package:

https://frogwoman.org/project-f-videos/project-f-video-packages

You can download the video after you donate, but only for your personal use.

Don’t share them with anyone…. anywhere!

It’s pretty simple, I had to spend a lot of money, especially on scuba gear and location rent.

A lot of my …limited… savings were used up for that.

If I don’t make enough money with these videos…..I won’t be able to make new videos.

So…. I hope you appreciate these videos and want to see more in the future.

Wanna see more of Frogwoman Uma …aka…. “Granola Kitty”?

Check out her Facebook page where you can see much more of her:

https://www.facebook.com/granola.kitti.9

I guess that will be the last video from that first shooting for Project F.

There are scenes where Frogwoman Uma is wearing a Dräger Panorama Nova Dive, but the visibility is very poor in this one.

There are also scenes with Frogwoman Uma wearing an MSA Millenium mask (which disguises her face completely), that might be something for another video in the future.
