… and this time, it will be in a LAKE!
So, the preparations are underway to have a video shoot in the first half of September.
For the first time, we will shoot in a lake.
Of course, the big problem might be… the weather. But my expectations towards it aren’t that high.
It would be great if we had something like 20-25 degrees and no rain, that would be awesome.
But I can make compromises to a certain degree. Unless it’s raining all day… for example.
And I am curious to see if all the disadvantages of such a lake shooting (visibility, privacy, weather?, comfort, water temperature) will be worth the one BIG advantage it has:
The setting! Of course, such a lake should provide a much cooler background than any pool, well ….if there is enough visibility .
If the visibility is at least around 2-3 meters, it would be ok for me.
Yeah, the famous dive site of Lake Hemmoor, for example, isn’t far away and has insane visibility (up to 30-40 meters) and depth.
But there are way too many dive groups there that any filming of a (simulated) peril or fight scene might get you into a LOT of trouble. #misunderstandings #rescueeffort
And I don’t wanna go too deep anyway, as it just gets more dangerous (and colder).
The lake we will (most likely) use has more than “enough” depth.
The water temperature in the lake will be lower than in the pool, so we won’t use any of the thinnest suits (1 / 1,5 mm) that I have.
I have 3 5mm suits by now, and a lot of 3/3,5mm suits.
I gathered some additional equipment for such a lake shoot, and I am looking forward to it!
