Ok, on the one hand, this scene does frustrate me quite a bit.
You have bad guys, and you have 2 frogwomen. One has a spear gun. And she manages to shoot herself with it??? Argh!
No scuba fight, but an accident? Damn!
But ok, at least it’s a rather unusual scenario, as that doesn’t happen often in the movies!
I mean, how many movies do you know in which a female scuba diver gets hit by a spear? That can’t be more than 2 or 3 😉
Anyway, a good peril scene with interesting gear (except the damn BCDs).
I will make at least one more post for this movie.

OK, first… you manage to “unlock” or to “disable” a big cage underwater while moving with bate hands? Really impressive.
Second… How? I rewatched the scene and… how does the other girl hit herself? I can’t understand!
Well, the trigger of such a spear gun doesn’t need much pressure to go off.
She moved around unexpectendly and pointed the spear gun at herself at some point (poor control).
…with baRe hands…
I hate the buttons of the phone!!!
Why the dislike for the BDCs? Generally, girls are fine in the equipment and the BCD is the one thing, that do the scuba diving so magical. You can slowly go down, comfortably and how you like it, than be neutral and relax. That is the reason, why the freediving is so bad, there is no time to do anything and you are not neutral (or only around 10 meter depth), so you are constantly moving and burning oxygen without breathing, which makes no sense, not to mention that 99,9% of fish hate faster swimming people around them..
And in the future, the BDCs may be very different – check the Avelo.
Well, BCDs are a very good thing for scuba diving. A great invention for sure!
But when it’s about the look of it… they hide the (upper) body of the diver.
And that is bad from the astehtic point of view.
That’s why I don’t use them in my Project F videos. Why having a sexy woman in a sexy wetsuit and then put a BCD over it?
That’s like putting a coat over Pamela Anderson at the beach.
And yeah, there are other BCDs that don’t hide the chest… but these are damn expensive.
Well, I dont understand, there is a plenty of videos on YT with girl, swimsuit or wetsuit and even cheap jacket bcd dont hide the body 😉 Its probably a personal preference, also it make sense not to use them on swimming pool, they need some time to learn and its additional cost. But they can be sabotaged too 😉
Avelo is not one of the expensive wing type gear, if (and when) they will succeed in the future, the divers will once again go underwater with only quite simple harness and tank. Iam still not sure, if it will stand the test of time and enter mass production, but it is a interesting approach in bcds..
