2 female divers, a wreck, a coin, and … some danger – Scene 1

This scene is from a new movie, so… it should be new to most of you!

I watched the whole movie… the movie isn’t good (around 3.3 on IMDB) and is a classic cheap CGI-shark fantasy flick.

But… it has some nice scuba scenes in it for sure 🙂

So, why did I cut the video just as the real action starts? Well, for three reasons.

First, the video should not get too long… so the chances are better it might stay on YouTube.

And secondly… more importantly… the shark attack is quite… bad! You have a roaring(!!!) CGI shark that is just ridiculous.

An underwater attack by a chicken wouldn’t be much more laughable.

The third reason is that it gets quite graphic… YouTube might easily get problems with that. #oneguyloosesoneleg

I did cut out some scenes in the middle as the camera films from quite a distance so you won’t see much of them.

Yeah, no (full) wetsuits in this one, “only” a bikini and some neoprene top. But I know how different the tastes are 😉

Both women are quite sexy and the scuba scenes are solid.

And there is one more scuba scene that I will post here, perhaps next week already.

Despite that the movie here is quite bad, the premise is really good.

Spoilers ahead!

We have a group of tourists and their guide on the one hand.

And we have a bunch of nasty criminals on the other… who even use scuba gear in the movie too!

There is some treasure on the sunken ship AND also(!!!) a sunken container full of drugs nearby.

So… it would be a PERFECT setup to build in some great scuba fight scenes and scuba peril.

But no… they throw some monster fantasy sharks in the mix and ruin everything. 🙁

Ok, still there are quite some scuba scenes… but no scuba fights and no peril except the shark attacks.

As always, I am thankful for any good scuba scenes that get made… so I am happy about this movie… in a way.

And I will get the Blu-ray for my collection… when it reaches a low price.

Female scuba diver finds some scary stuff in a lake

This one was recommended to me ages ago and was on my list of known scuba scenes.

Some weeks ago, someone recommended it again and I gave it another look.

And yeah… I do think now that this scene should be on this blog.

Yeah, I know… not much action in that one. I guess that mannequin was supposed to be a corpse? 😆

But we have two (short) scuba scenes, some surface shots, and a scene with her running in a wetsuit (quite rare).

And all that in an 80s vintage wetsuit. Not bad…

But, this is supposed to be a monster flick, with a monster that lives in the water.

This was pre-CGI. So they had a guy who was in some rubber monster suit.

You have a female scuba diver in 2 scenes…. but … she doesn’t get attacked by that monster while diving??????

WHY??????

What a crime….

Maybe they had a scene and it looked too bad… hard to say.

Or maybe it was too difficult for the guy in the monster suit to do underwater scenes…

Quite a wasted opportunity!

Female diver with FFM finds alien creature and gets in trouble!

I cut out some scenes where the military is observing her with a drone (like you see at the very end), so the video wouldn’t get too long.

But basically, the creature is in peril and thinks the military guys wanna harm it and creates a massive wave.

The wave is racing towards the boat but dies down before it hits it, as the alien wants to spare the old guy (I guess).

She ascends because she (rightfully)  thinks he is in trouble.

These are just my assumptions. Haven’t seen the whole thing and my French from school is quite …rusty.

She is lucky to be alive as she smashed against that rocks. The bleeding looked quite bad at first, but she was ok in the end.

Quite an unusual scuba peril scene for sure!

And as I said before… I like her FFM, looks really good 🙂

The scuba scene isn’t that great… but it’s a rather epic scene, because… of …… well…. reasons!

Ok, yes… the underwater scene isn’t really interesting. Yeah, some short diving snippets and some real footage of a great white. Ok.

And I am pretty sure that isn’t Tia Carrere who does the actual diving.

Certainly, the dorky assistant guy on the boat is blessed… while his smoking-hot boss is underwater, he hangs out with another hot woman on the boat…. could be (much) worse!

The real highlights of these scenes are certainly the surface shots with Tia, even it would have been great to have a full view of her in that wetsuit on the surface at some point.

Of course, I would have preferred if she had met some treasure hunters underwater instead of the shark… but no luck here.

Still, this is certainly a very good scene 🙂

P.S.: The added breathing sounds are an interesting choice 🙂

2 female divers, one male diver, a bomb, and mysterious underwater lights

This one is very new, so chances are good that you guys don’t know it already 😉

In this one, we have 1 female diver in an FFM in one spot, and a female and male diver at another diving spot.

And we have a bomb, scuba peril, and some mysterious elements in it as well…

I made some cuts (surface scenes) so the video wouldn’t get so long. Hopefully, it will stay up on YouTube.

Yeah, I do like her Oceanreef FFM, quite a stylish mask…for my taste.

A shame there isn’t more action with her as long she is wearing it.

But don’t worry, I will post another scene with her in 2 weeks 😉

The light does come from some alien creature(!) and somehow the presence of the creature detonated that World War bomb for some reason… as far I understood it.

The whole TV show is only available in French (so far) and I didn’t watch the whole thing.

The guy gets killed by the explosion and the woman does survive and looks pretty “well” for such a blast and “only” needed some Hasselhoffing… aka reviving 😉

Perhaps the alien prevented her death? I can only guess here….

The alien creature also seems responsible for the weird bubbles… that went sideways instead of to the surface.

All in all some nice scenes!

As mentioned… I will make one more post about this TV show in 2 weeks.

Yeah, I’m not a big fan of night dives, even if it works in such a movie… in terms of atmosphere.

But you just can see a lot less…. and that’s a shame since Kristy Swanson looks great in that wetsuit.

This peril scene is pretty unique… as not often divers get knocked out by a shark 😉

Even she isn’t fully knocked out… at first.

But ok, since her regulator was still in her mouth, she wasn’t in immediate danger.

The Scubapro regulator type that she used was also featured in some Project F videos.

There is some more footage of her in that wetsuit on that ship, but I decided to not make the video any longer (as that can be problematic).

All in all a good scuba peril scene… in my opinion!

Woman in makeshift diving gear is in danger of drowning

So, time for one last post in 2024!

It’s a pretty great one… so luckily the year gets a strong finish 🙂

Remember this one I posted just 5 weeks ago?

Well, now…. in the same TV show… the same character/actress …is in a similar danger AGAIN!

She nearly suffocated in her own makeshift hazmat/space suit… and now she is in big trouble as she uses makeshift diving gear…

The first scene was already really good, but this one is even better…. for my taste 🙂

The goal of the dive was to turn on the pumps so the water level would lower instead of rising higher.

Ok, the scuba gear itself isn’t very sexy… to say at least.

It’s mostly makeshift gear and she isn’t wearing a wetsuit.

The closeups with her are already great … and then there is that peril scene!

Well, it’s really well done 🙂

I love how she realizes that she doesn’t get air anymore and then desperately sucks on her mouthpiece.

She even puts it out, knocks on it, and puts it back in… hoping for a small miracle and that it might start working again somehow.

The sounds the regulator and she make… are very sexy! Great job sound guys and gals 🙂

…with the big difference that here no other diver is present.

The way she surfaces quickly is done very well. Funny enough the guy who talked to her before the dive told her about the possibility of getting the bends.

She was supposed to dive 8 floors down… that would be at least 20 meters. But she was down there for a rather short time.

So I guess…. she might realistically survive such an emergency ascend, but I’m no expert.

Also, the hose that is connected to her regulator looks like a garden hose… somehow I think that just might burst if used for scuba diving 😉

Now the big question is what happened on the surface! Seemingly there was a fight at the surface and someone wanted her to drown.

Well, that will be resolved in the next episode… I guess (airs on January 3).

So, she nearly suffocated early in the season… and now she nearly drowned.

What’s next for her? Will she wear a gas mask and the filters won’t work anymore? 😉

Or someone rips it off and she gets gassed?

We will see… but…. realistically…she will wear a makeshift space/hazmat suit again as she wants to return to her place.

Maybe she will get into some more trouble on the way…. if that happens… I will make another post.

This one is very close to getting into my Hall of Fame, but I guess the missing wetsuit and rather ugly diving mask… just “prevent” that.

Close call….

 

*EDIT* January 5:

So, one more episode aired this week and she actually gets the bends after the dive!

She feels it in one of her legs and she has problems walking.

Then she jumps into the water taking the long hose with her.

She stays for some minutes in the water, breathing from that hose until the effects of the bends get better.

The hose then stops giving her air and she swims back to the surface.

Amsterdamned 2 [2025]

Today I wanna do something that I do very rarely here… make a post about a future movie!

I guess 80-90% of you folks know this scene from my Hall of Fame:

It’s one of my all-time favorites when it comes to “frogwoman in a gorgeous wetsuit” scenes!

Also, I think many of you are familiar with the movie in which that scene is placed!

It’s “Amsterdamned”, the classic Euro thriller from 1988.

In that one, a crazy (male) scuba diver goes on a killing spree in the canals of Amsterdam.

Yeah, I know… there isn’t a female scuba diver to see in the teaser or the poster… at least from what we know.

But, I think the chances aren’t too bad that there will be a female scuba diver in it…. one way or another.

I mean there are MANY possibilities for how that movie might be featured big time on this channel:

Maybe a female scuba diver gets attacked by the killer?

Maybe a woman gets pulled into the canals and drowned by the killer? etc. (like the one on the boat in the teaser)

Maybe the leading actress Tara Lee, goes scuba diving to hunt the killer down… and maybe even fights with him/her?

Maybe the crazy scuba killer is even a woman? For example a daughter of the original killer…. who seeks (late) revenge.

 

Ok, maybe that is just my fantasy… and there will be nothing like it in the movie….but I really look forward to this one!

I mean, the scenario is just great! A crazy male/female scuba diver who gets on a killing spree? That is great (in fiction)!

It’s cool that Huub Stabel gets back for a second part, a whopping 37 years after the first one.

It’s also interesting that there is a teaser trailer, a whole year ahead of the movie… I hope that is a good sign as crap B or C-movies mostly don’t get announced so far ahead with a teaser.

Hopefully, this won’t be some bad movie that just wants to make some money from the big name of the original one.

I think it’s very hard to see the killer on the poster. I am not even sure if he/she faces forward or backward:lol:

3 guys, one woman, a wreck dive, and…. eels! [Blog exclusive]

Is it Sunday already?

No, not yet… but as I don’t have time on Sunday to make my usual post on Sunday… you will get this one 2 days early!

I watched this one last year in the cinema and just yesterday on Blu-ray.

The time that this scene finally shows up here!

We have 3 guys and a woman who go on a wreck dive to retrieve a historic relic.

But things go wrong….

Yeah, there are quite some aspects that I don’t like about this.

First of all… I don’t like that they don’t use scuba tanks but these long hoses.

And there is a LOT of CGI involved here. Just look at these crazy bubbles 😆 …for example.

Her wetsuit is nice, even the guys have much cooler/sexier ones.

By the way: Damn, she is only wearing a shorty wetsuit but has that amount of lead on her? Plus these weighted shoes on top.

Wouldn’t it be extremely hard to ascend like that? But ok, details….

The peril scene with the CGI eels is nice, better than nothing for sure.

She is forced into a crazy ascend, that would be insanely dangerous… and probably lethal depending on the actual depth.

All in all a nice scene in my opinion.
