Female detective to scuba dive in a lake …and ignores the first rule of scuba diving

A nice guy recommended this a few weeks ago, time to make a post about it.

Thanks again for that!

The show just aired here in Germany, and I watched the whole 6 episodes.

He is a police diver, and she is a detective.

Seems like today every detective in a crime-thriller needs to have some sort of trauma.

In this case, she got shot in the face with a shotgun as she pursued a bad guy.

But I do think she is very attractive, no matter what.

Yeah, not the greatest peril scene but a solid one.

And quite some good “sounds”.

She saw a girl there from her dreams who is one of the missing children.

But yeah, she was reckless when she descended that fast and left her buddy.

But ok, he was also reckless; he just taught her to dive in the lake with some exercises in a few minutes…. he should know better.

But ok, it suits the storyline. Sadly her only scuba dive in the show.

He is diving a lot more and has a pretty good peril scene in episode 2 or 3.

Female scuba diver finds some scary stuff in a lake

This one was recommended to me ages ago and was on my list of known scuba scenes.

Some weeks ago, someone recommended it again and I gave it another look.

And yeah… I do think now that this scene should be on this blog.

Yeah, I know… not much action in that one. I guess that mannequin was supposed to be a corpse? 😆

But we have two (short) scuba scenes, some surface shots, and a scene with her running in a wetsuit (quite rare).

And all that in an 80s vintage wetsuit. Not bad…

But, this is supposed to be a monster flick, with a monster that lives in the water.

This was pre-CGI. So they had a guy who was in some rubber monster suit.

You have a female scuba diver in 2 scenes…. but … she doesn’t get attacked by that monster while diving??????

WHY??????

What a crime….

Maybe they had a scene and it looked too bad… hard to say.

Or maybe it was too difficult for the guy in the monster suit to do underwater scenes…

Quite a wasted opportunity!

Lake video shoot – Update

As you may know, I wanna do a video shoot in a lake this Summer.

Have never done that so far… as you can see here.

Right now I am waiting for a good weather period to show up here.

Nearly every wetsuit I have for women …is either 1.5 or 3 mm, which is very thin.

Warm enough for a pool, but mostly too thin for a lake. And ….as you know … (many) women freeze easily 😉

I don’t wanna buy several more wetsuits just for that lake video shoot, especially as these thicker ones are just regular neoprene suits without smooth skin.

Regular wetsuits here in Germany have 5 or 7 mm for diving in local waters… or you even need a drysuit when it’s cold(er).

In the last weeks, the temperature in the air only rarely succeeded 20 degrees Celsius and the lake temperature on the surface seems to be around 20 degrees as well when I checked.

And it quickly gets colder the deeper you go…

With the weather report, it seems highly unlikely now that this video will happen this month.

The next video shoot in the deep pool is in mid-August.

So, I now wanna squeeze in the lake video shoot in July, so there is enough time afterward to prepare for the pool video shoot.

So, some sunshine (for lighting) and 20 to 25 degrees would be cool with the lake just a little warmer than now.

Also, I now have to get some additional gear for the video shoot in the lake, especially some gear that wasn’t needed in the pool.

I will keep you guys updated.

 

 

Female diver is searching for a body….and the killer finds her!

This one is some classic german scuba movie… A diver drowns people in a lake and a woman tries to investigate on her own.

In this, she is looking for a body in the lake….alone…not her best idea.

Strange scene…but a nice scuba peril scene 😉

I’m on the lookout for better picture quality, but it is from a 15-year-old TV movie, so that will be difficult.
