The female diver and the rubber monster! [original Flipper TV show – HD]

For today I have a short video with some nice scenes from 1964!

One year before the best scuba movie ever came out.

In this episode of the original Flipper TV show, a horror movie with an underwater monster is filmed.

And to no surprise, the monster is after a sexy female scuba diver….. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Preview:

And here is the video:

Yeah, of course, it is all staged, and only a guy in a monster rubber suit….but still….I like these scenes, especially as it is very nice to see such vintage TV scenes in HD.

A wetsuit would actually be sexier for me, but well, she doesn’t look bad in that bathing suit either. Imagine her in a black SPECTRE wetsuit with a double hose regulator….the monster yanking at her air hose….

There are more underwater scenes in that episode but not with the female diver.

The Deep House [scuba movie – review]

Earlier this year in May I made two posts about a new scuba movie:

http://frogwoman.org/the-deep-house-a-new-and-very-promising-scuba-horror-flick

http://frogwoman.org/the-deep-house-the-trailer-is-out

And I even heard about it much earlier in the year.

Now I was finally able to watch the movie!

Making a post about it as I usually do, would be quite impossible.

In the post, I will post some minor to average spoilers but NO big spoilers about the ending.

MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD!

MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD!

MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD!

Normally I post basically all the scuba scenes from a movie as they normally have only one or two.

In this case, that won’t work. Ok, I could post the highlight scenes of it….but I decided against that, at least for now.

If you are interested in scuba, scuba action, scuba peril….then this movie is a MUST-see for you!

The movie has an introduction of about 20 minutes, and then the whole rest of the movie is set underwater!

As the movie has a total runtime of about 80 minutes….well….yeah….this movie has 60 minutes of scuba diving in it!

Thereby the movie practically shows their dive in real-time!

That is why I can only recommend watching the WHOLE movie instead of some snippets.

Now to the movie, is it worth the time and money?

Well, I certainly think it is! ๐Ÿ˜‰

The storyline is simple, a couple is filming themselves as they enter haunted houses, cool places, and such things and upload these videos for the followers.

They heard of a lake that isn’t on any map and that there would be a house in that lake in great condition.

So, they decide to dive down to the house where the action begins as they aren’t alone there!

The movie certainly takes its time before the horror really starts and I’m glad the trailer showed so little of it.

The overall idea of why this house is a horror house is solid. The atmosphere is building up really well as the two divers proceed further into the house.

The sound is really good, especially with headphones or a nice Surround Set!

The scuba gear is quite nice. Standard wetsuits with BCD’s on the back where they belong! And they are using solid full-face masks.

Now, some pictures from the movie:

If you use any of the sponsored links above I do get a small percentage…so THANK you!

It isn’t available on Amazon.com (yet), and I bet there are also other sites where you can buy it.

(medium) SPOILERS AHEAD! I recommend watching the movie before you continue!

(medium) SPOILERS AHEAD! I recommend watching the movie before you continue!

(medium) SPOILERS AHEAD! I recommend watching the movie before you continue!

Like in Breaking Surface the main enemy of the divers is time and the dwindling oxygen reserves. But in a hunted house there are also other problems ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here you have to accept the fact that supernatural things are happening. I mean there is a house in pristine condition in a lake that was “made” decades ago.

They really did a good job in building these sets and I’m looking forward to finding hopefully some “making of” videos on a Blu-ray release in the future.

Spoiler title
I had hoped for a little more (scuba) action, especially as there is a twist near the ending that is perfect to have some more scuba action. Yeah, there are some struggle scenes near the very end, but I had hoped for more. But yeah, it’s hard to satisfy me in that direction. The “ghosts” should be more dangerous, which of course is difficult as they are basically underwater corpses who are quite slow (naturally). The most danger comes from their supernatural abilities.

The movie has just the 2 divers and one other guy in it (picture 1). But shooting underwater is complicated and expensive!

From the trailer, it was already clear that there would be “only” this couple, but it would have been great to have perhaps 2 more divers down there with them. That would provide more action scenes with the scuba divers.

Or perhaps no supernatural aspects and some enemy divers that are there to protect the house for some reason. And then some scuba fights in an underwater house! How fantastic would THAT be?!

But ok, that’s my fantasy ๐Ÿ˜‰

All in all, the movie is really good and delivers quite a unique setting with 60 minutes of underwater scenes!

Yeah, there is some wasted potential here and there, but still, it is a very entertaining movie.

*EDIT* As I just learned, there is a short scene AFTER the credits, so check that out ๐Ÿ˜‰

In some weeks I may post my highlight scene of this movie, but as I said, watch the whole movie!

Ok, enough from me.

Have you seen the movie already?

What do you think?

Two banners for Project F!

Today I wanna present two banners that a very nice and talented guy made for me and Project F:

(click on the image to enlarge it to full size – these are only thumbnails)

These images do show what I would love to see in Project F (among other things)!

Take banner 2 for example: Jane Bond in her red rubber wetsuit encounters a SPECTRE frogwoman and that fight can only have one winner!

Perhaps inspired by the fight with James Bond and the frogman below the Disco Volante. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here is the link to his DeviantArt account, check it out for more gorgeous women in scuba gear:

https://www.deviantart.com/sky50783

Thanks again for these banners!

They will be put to good use in representing the Project.

The frogwoman, the falling rock, and her ruptured air hose! [+Bonus scene]

Time for certainly one of the best underwater peril scenes from Flipper!

Damn, I wish this newer Flipper series would be released on Blu-ray, HD TV/streaming, or at least on DVD at some point, as the picture quality is rather bad.

But as this show is over 20 years old and isn’t well known…this might never happen ๐Ÿ™

Nevertheless, I really like this scene as there are quite some interesting aspects to it!

Preview:

And here is the video:

Ok, the whole “rock floats down, slices her high-pressure air hose, but doesn’t hurt her at all” aspect is really, really weird and makes no sense.

But besides that realism aspect….it’s a pretty great scene!

First of all, these two are experienced divers in the show, it’s completely irresponsible that her dive buddy decides to leave her and surfaces without her.

Well, the scene dictates that she has to be alone down there as the mysterious guy couldn’t save the “frogwoman in distress” when the other one would be there to help her.

It’s a little odd that she doesn’t react to the other woman trying to contact her and that she seemingly isn’t much concerned that her air hose was ruptured and doesn’t react to it. But ok, maybe she was in shock by the whole development, so…..I guess that’s somehow understandable.

Lucky for her the mysterious guy shows up, yanks her mask off, and puts the octopus regulator into her mouth. Nice timing dude!

And yeah…. spoiler alert….he is a real human…. and not a product of her imagination.

Later in the episode, they have 2 short dive scenes together without action.

And by the way: “My air hose was ruptured!” …..that’s a real trigger sentence for me! ๐Ÿ˜†

Wanna know from which episode this scene is?

IMDB is all messed up on season 4 of this show.

But it should be season 4, episode 8, “Waterworld”

What do you think of these scenes?

P.S.: BONUS snippet!

Too late I realized that the scene is continued on the boat after the starting credits, so check this out:

“Sure it wasn’t Sean Connery?” she asks smiling big time….

LOVE IT! ๐Ÿ™‚

“The Deep House” – The trailer is out!

9 days ago I posted about the new scuba/horror flick “The Deep House”:

http://frogwoman.org/the-deep-house-a-new-and-very-promising-scuba-horror-flick

Well, now….we have a trailer!

Check it out:

So far the …uncontested… biggest “new scuba movie” hope in 2021!

The trailer looks very promising! Actually, I do like that they haven’t shown the ghost/spirit so far.

Really looking forward to this one!

Scuba peril + an underwater house(!) + horror elements = sounds GREAT! ๐Ÿ˜‰

What do you folks think about the trailer?

“The Deep House” – A new and very promising scuba-horror flick!

2020 was a really good year for scuba movies.

2 new, pretty great scuba flicks came out:

Breaking Surface” and “Deep Blue Sea 3” were both very interesting fresh scuba flicks that provided a LOT of good scenes!

But what about this year?

Well, I heard about “The Deep House” last year, but so far the info was very limited and besides a poster, there was nothing much to post about.

That has changed now! ๐Ÿ™‚

Here is the general storyline:

A young and modern couple who go to France to explore an underwater house and share their findings on social media undergoes a serious change of plans when the couple enters the interior of a strange house located at the bottom of the sea and their presence awakens a spirit dark that haunts the house.

So, I would say it’s very certain that we get some scuba peril scenes in this one ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here are some selected promo pictures:

And here is the movie poster:

So, you already can spot some scuba peril scenes on those pictures, so I am very thrilled about this one!

Not everyone is a fan of Full Face Masks, but I do like them. The black wetsuits are nice and I really like that they both are wearing these BCDs where the buoyancy body is only on the back of the diver.

So the sight to the front…. isn’t “obscured” ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hard to say how they will portray this evil “spirit”, but we get some impressions from the upcoming trailer.

The movie will be released in France on June 30……so, we should get a trailer very soon! ๐Ÿ™‚

More pictures and some info can be found here:

So, what do you think of this one?

The brave frogwoman, the dolphin and the hysterical frogwoman

[2nd post for today, another one below]

Diving with serious anxiety issues isn’t the best idea. And so is diving with someone who easily freaks out because of nothing.

In this episode, you can find two interesting scenes which show what can happen….

Preview, scene 1:

And here is the video:

Yeah, if your dive buddy panics….you are into deep trouble! And here that frogwoman panics out of nothing….as she is scared as there are so many fish around her….

Haven’t seen the whole episode, so I don’t know what’s behind her issues. But underwater, freaking out like that can easily kill you and your dive buddy.

Quite a nice peril scene though…and I like those Interspiro Divator masks ๐Ÿ™‚

Preview, scene 2:

And here is the video:

Yeah, the effects aren’t good as the toy model gets buried by false rocks ๐Ÿ˜‰ , but ok, it’s a TV show.

Quite a cool scene as they are trying to escape the submarine, then depend on their scuba tanks to survive inside the submarine until they are finally rescued.

Damn, why I never find a submarine with trapped frogwomen inside? ๐Ÿ˜‰

I don’t know why the blonde frogwoman let ….the unstable….woman drive that sub, but there can’t be a good reason for that.

I certainly wouldn’t let her drive that thing with her backstory (scene 1 + probably much more).

But ok, she did it and we got this scene… ๐Ÿ™‚

Wanna know from which episode this is?

Quite odd, in the link it says episode 19…but it’s 20 to my knowledge.

The trailer for this blog and its Youtube channel

After very little participation in the second round of different trailer music tracks….I was a little disappointed and thought about the whole trailer thing.

Today I finished the trailer. Basically, it’s the very first version that I uploaded, now with some changes to the order of scenes and some fixes to the music.

…and I added the intro and outro text.

Here it is:

If a regular visitor of this blog you should know most of these scenes already.

If you don’t then you have some “homework” to do ๐Ÿ˜‰

Many (the best) of the scenes from the trailer can be found in my “Hall of Fame” section here on the blog.

If you live in Japan and can’t see the trailer on Youtube (blocked there), then you can watch/download the trailer here:

Flipper, the female diver and a great white shark

[1st post for today, another one will follow]

The new(er) Flipper TV show offers a lot of scenes with female scuba divers as you may already know.

I already posted some of them and today I wanna present another one!

Preview:

And here is the video:

A fine peril scene, even it has some obvious flaws ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ok, don’t know if any dolphin could distract/fend off a great white shark…but that’s one of the less problematic points. Still, the shark is so much faster than she is, he could easily catch up with her again, even there is Flipper around.

I don’t remember the full episode but she obviously has some trauma with sharks. Which is quite a problem if you work half the time underwater as she does in her job….

But overall the scene has its plus points as well. I always enjoy seeing women in full-face masks in action. Quite rare stuff, even today.

If I would ever make a shark movie, I guess these sharks would be trained to have a taste for air hoses instead of human meat ๐Ÿ˜†

With all the crazy shark movies out there, I wonder why no one did that so far. ๐Ÿ˜‰

There is another scene with her in scuba gear as she tags a shark from a really thin shark cage. But that’s very short and without action.

Here is the link to the episode:

Female scuba diver gets attacked and drowned by evil diver [S.O.S. Barracuda][HD upgrade + longer][+ Bonus scene]

Remember this epic scene? Here is the old link…

Female scuba diver gets attacked and drowned by evil diver [S.O.S. Barracuda]

That video was done from a VHS recording as the movie was aired the last time in the early 2000s. A very nice guy provided that one to me in 2018.

Now, after all these years the movie was shown again on a HD channel, so I was able to get a proper recording.

Also, I could see the whole movie now and not only a couple of minutes of it.

There is also another scuba scene in this one that I didn’t know of, but we will come to that later on.

Preview:

And here is the video:

My view on the plus and minus points of this scene hasn’t changed (from my old post):

โ€“ points:

The struggle between her and the attacker is much too short. The camera work is too fast and too shaky. We donโ€™t see very much of herโ€ฆ.

Many โ€œmistakesโ€: Her tanks empties so fastโ€ฆ. if she had more than a few % of her air leftโ€ฆthatโ€™s a mistake. It should take much longer until she is out.

She doesnโ€™t fight back and her only action is to use the octopus.

And why is her dive buddy suddenly so far away from her? He was pretty close as he was cutting these cables.

Additional โ€“ points:

Why does she drowned that fast? I often laugh at some scuba fetish videos where it takes up to 5 or more minutes for someone to drown which is just hilarious. But ok, I guess some folks wanna see it so long. Here it is quite the opposite: He cuts her air hose and she drowns in a matter of a few seconds. Equally weird. Especially as she uses her 2nd regulator and should get air from it as long the tank still got air in it.

Her male buddy behaves really completely insane. He manages to disarm the attacker, who closes his air valve. But what does the guy do? Trying to reach it, and fails to do so. Ok, yeah, it’s not so easy to reach it with shorter arms. But…..why doesn’t he get out of his BCD-vest? Then he could easily reach the valve and turn his air back on! Instead, he dives to his now-dead girlfriend. He realises that she is dead and that her air hose is cut. But he tries to get air from his tank! WHY? How is there supposed to be air left in there as the air hose is sliced and no more air escapes the cut hose? Completely moronic move. He still doesn’t think of turning his air back on and ascends rapidly, nearly dying in the process.

+ points:

First of all, this is the ONLY scene I know (in a movie or TV series) where a female diver is attackedโ€ฆher air hose gets cutโ€ฆAND she actually drowns afterwards. In every other scene with an air hose cutโ€ฆthe female diver always survive. This aspect makes it unique! GREAT! A real big + point! (*EDIT* Now in 2021 it’s one of two scenes I know of that kind)

After she drowns we get to see a lot of scenes of her dead body. That is very rare too.

I guess many will love all these โ€œdeath stareโ€ scenes. And letโ€™s be honest: I do โ€ฆ.like themโ€ฆ.somehow. (But my main interest is to see the struggle before the drowning)

Additional + points:

The scuba fight with the two men is actually not bad. I wish he would have struggled with her like that. He manages to disarm the attacker and injures him.

Later on, her fires an emergency rocket and gets saved by the Barracuda crew. But some minutes later he gets shot by the killer….

Some more pictures:

But as I mentioned there is another scuba scene, check it out:

Well, what did just happen? Good question!

First of all, I love the end result! The evil scuba killer who drowned one frogwoman gets now (seemingly) drowned by another female diver (from the Barracuda police crew).

A really great, fitting result! ๐Ÿ™‚

But…..

….what has happened down there?????? It isn’t shown and it isn’t explained at all. She doesn’t speak about it with the other crew members, no one asks her.

That way we totally have to use our imagination.

Has she somehow turned his air off? Has she stabbed him with a knife that was never shown? Was there a struggle between the two? Why didn’t both dive to the surface to find out what was going on there?

Well, all questions we never get an answer for….. ๐Ÿ™

I really like to see her in closeups in her full face mask! Would have love to see them fight against each other! With him trying to drown another frogwoman….but this frogwoman would be far better skilled than his last victim with her police scuba training (it was mentioned in the movie).

I guess in the end they may have been run out of money (or time) and just didn’t filmed some more scenes underwater.

A real shame, but it is cool to have another scuba scene in this movie….

Here is the IMDB title to this one:

What do you think about these two scenes?

S.O.S. Barracuda TV airing!!!

[last updated: January 24]

In late December I made a post on this cool forum:

https://www.underwaterclipsource.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=37572

….and it’s about time that I post here about in the page as well!

I posted this on the forum on December 29:

Hopefully you know my post about an episode from S.O.S. Barracuda which includes something VERY, VERY, VERY RARE…..
http://frogwoman.org/female-scuba-diver … -barracuda

S.O.S. Barracuda is a german series consisting out of 8 movies made from 1997 to 2002.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1169951
During the summer of 2018 I heard that there was a rather fantastic scene (with some flaws) in one of the movies.
But I thought I would probably never see it. These movies weren’t shown since the early 2000’s in german TV and there are no DVD/Blu-ray releases.
Then I made a request for it on my blog.
I was very lucky to get videos files from a friendly guy who read my request about these movies.

I subscribed to an email-alert that I would get if these movies ever would be shown again here in german TV.
Since, as I said, the movies weren’t shown for over 15 years….I had very little hope that they would ever be shown again.
But yesterday I got such an email alert….. :!: :!: :!: :!: …I was quite shocked….in a good way
On January 23 a first movie of that show is shown on “RTL Passion” (german pay TV).
Oddly enough they show movie number 3…at first. :?:
At my place where I have cable….I can’t get that channel, even I would want to.

I would love to get recordings of all 8 movies.
AS I understand only 2 or 3 have scuba content in it.
But I want all of them in a good quality.
Especially that one with the epic scuba drowning!!!!
Hopefully the channel will show all of them….

I will try to figure out if there is a way in which I could get these movies in nice quality files.
Has anyone experience in recording from a TV airing? In a way that you would have a quality file on the computer afterwards?
I have a digital recorder which I use to record movies all the time. But they are then on that recorder and can’t be moved to anywhere else.
I also have an older recorder with DVD drive, which I could use to get it to the computer….but as I said, I can’t get that channel so….both recorders are not an option in this case.
Perhaps getting it from a streaming site would be an option…

I hope someone here can help with advice!
Or perhaps even record these movies…

——-

*EDIT* January 24th:

All issues have been figured out and I got the first one, check out the new post from January 24 for the scenes from the first movie.

You can find the answers I got in the forum itself as I don’t want the made this post too long.

Well, I really hope that they will air all these 8 movies, especially the ones with female scuba content off course….

Will keep you updated!

The frogwoman and the gill man

[2nd post for today]

Time for some scenes from a movie that is more than 65 years old!

A “gill man” gets captured and placed into a big pool for study and to entertain the visitors of the aqua park.

A woman and a man use some high end scuba gear (for that time) to “train” him.

Of course the gil man gets interested in her and doesn’t want to be chained to the bottom of the pool ๐Ÿ˜‰

Preview:

And here is the video:

The frogwoman and the gill man

(on google drive)

Posted it on Youtube, but it was blocked right away….

These full face scuba masks with radio must have been very high end back in 1955.

But I haven’t seen these in other movies of the time. I guess they had some problems or were very expensive.

The scenes are very interesting even I wish the creature would have wrestled a little longer with her….perhaps even grabing for her scuba mask or air hose.

However it was good to have some scuba peril in this one. Surely one of the earliest scenes like that in (movie-) history.

Wanna know from which movie this is?

The martial arts frogwoman from hungary

First of all thanks to the guy who recommended me a video from this TV show and also to Scuba Snooper who uploaded a video from it on youtube!

I asked for the title of the untitled video and not only got the title, but the link for the whole episode!

Couldn’t ask for anything more….. ๐Ÿ™‚

I checked the whole episode and found a lot more interesting scenes, so I decided to make my own version with all the female scuba scenes below and above the surface.

But enough text for now, let’s start with some pictures:

Preview:

And here is the video:

So, I don’t understand hungarian (surprise!)…but from what I understand of the episode so far…some villains are searching in that lake for treasure.

One of the evil guys turns against the other one and drowns him as he finds something (a rather disappointing scene).

The dead frogman gets found by the police. For some reason the TV shows lead actress get her hands on his wetsuit and starts wearing that mens-suit.

We can clearly see that it doesn’t fit her very good as she is surprising that guy. Logically it’s pretty loose. (DAMN!)

One of the good guys has to help the bad guys in recovering the treasure (the guy in the full face scuba mask).

They decide to get rid of him and closing the valve so he doesn’t get any oxygen while being trapped underwater!

Lucky for him our frogwoman shows up just in time.

But she has to fight off the evil guy in the red wetsuit first. As she is a trained martial arts expert…she uses her elbow to hit him right in the face, seemingly breaking his nose.

Of course there are some minus points. Her wetsuit is way too lose, the visibility is rather bad and the language problem. A shame the villainess doesn’t dive at the end and is only be seen exiting the water in her blue wetsuit very early on. Would have been great to have the two frogwoman fighting against each other at the end of the episode.

But this episode has a LOT to offer! Some great vintage wetsuits and nice diving scenes. Also I like how the villains try to drown that guy, a really hideous way….

The highlight is off course the scuba fight where our frogwoman has to face the evil guy in the red wetsuit! It could have been longer, but I really like the intensity. Filming thorugh her scuba mask for a second or two was an awesome idea! Don’t know why that wasn’t done more often.

Also it’s great that she let out some “grunting” noises to illustrate the intensity of the fight as she has to defend herself against his scuba knife.

Guess you may wanna know from which TV show and episode this is? Here you go:

A scuba couple and their last dive

Watched this movie a couple of times since a was a teenager.

Not a really good movie….but a very unusual and interesting movie nonetheless.

This movie came out just 3 years after Jaws had been the first blockbuster in the cinema history.

It has a similar topic (evil maneating animals) but with an eco touch to the story.

And the ending is quite surprising, a very rare sort of ending.

I leave it up to you if you rather wanna see the kid-friendly scuba version….or the rather bloody version for adults ๐Ÿ˜‰

And here are the videos:

….the kid-friendly scuba version

….the bloody version for adults:

(jump to 2:25 if you have seen the video above)

Ok, I’m not a fan of divers in shirts….but the other vintage dive gear is quite nice (mask and regulator)!

You can clearly see the handmade effects as the Barracudas attack their prey (they seem to really like her butt ๐Ÿ˜‰ ), you can clearly see the plastic or rubber Barracudas they used. Looks rather funny from nowadays point of view, but there was no CGI back in the day and the movie had no big budget.

Interestingly the first (very good) Piranha movie was made in the same year as this one, so you had 2 movies with different killer fishes made in the same year.

Even the movie title was already mentioned…more or less….here can you check it:
