2020 was a really good year for scuba movies.
2 new, pretty great scuba flicks came out:
“Breaking Surface” and “Deep Blue Sea 3” were both very interesting fresh scuba flicks that provided a LOT of good scenes!
But what about this year?
Well, I heard about “The Deep House” last year, but so far the info was very limited and besides a poster, there was nothing much to post about.
That has changed now! π
Here is the general storyline:
A young and modern couple who go to France to explore an underwater house and share their findings on social media undergoes a serious change of plans when the couple enters the interior of a strange house located at the bottom of the sea and their presence awakens a spirit dark that haunts the house.

So, I would say it’s very certain that we get some scuba peril scenes in this one π

So, you already can spot some scuba peril scenes on those pictures, so I am very thrilled about this one!
Not everyone is a fan of Full Face Masks, but I do like them. The black wetsuits are nice and I really like that they both are wearing these BCDs where the buoyancy body is only on the back of the diver.
So the sight to the front…. isn’t “obscured” π
Hard to say how they will portray this evil “spirit”, but we get some impressions from the upcoming trailer.
The movie will be released in France on June 30……so, we should get a trailer very soon! π

Thanks for the post about this film! I’ve been eagerly awaiting its release too. Hopefully a trailer will be available online very soon! I think its likely to be one of the best films in years for the amount of scuba scenes (as basically the whole movie is about the couple diving to the haunted house). I’ve got my fingers crossed for loads of great scuba scenes with Camille Rowe!
They are already a little late for a trailer for a movie with a June 30 release, so my bet is that we will get one in the next 2 weeks. π
I expect a lot from this one as the pictures are already very promising!
I agree with you completely. I’ve been looking out for a trailer periodically over the last few months but still nothing. Surely one has to be released very, very soon if the public release is end of June. I’m hoping it will be a cinematic release here in the UK or at least via digital streaming services to view very quickly once its released in France. The website you linked says that at US distributor is to be annouced soon too.
Looks very interesting!! Love the fact diver’s explore a haunted house at the bottom of the sea!! Very creative!! Can’t wait for its release in the UK!!
Yeah, quite a unique scenario! There should much more movies with underwater horror. Everything about filming on- or especially underwater is pretty expensive.
But perhaps this movie will inspire other producers….
