Today I wanna present something very rare…. at least in the movies:
A black frogwoman!
I have seen many, many, many movies and TV shows with scuba scenes over the last decades. But I only remember a handful of scenes that had actually a black guy or girl in it.
I think this one was recommended to me ages ago (thanks for that!), but I didn’t post about it as this movie has a big “problem”.
The frogwoman doesn’t dive at all.
So, why do I now post it anyhow? Well, the scenes are very interesting for several reasons….

Actually, she is running around in that wetsuit for at least 10 more minutes in the movie (incl. a motorboat chase), but I can’t post all that.
But damn, Pam Grier does look smoking hot in that wetsuit. The movie was about 10 years too late to present her in a vintage rubber wetsuit, but this wetsuit is fine as well.
And the scene where she seduces the bad guy to lure him closer….is quite sexy! She certainly knows how to use her looks to manipulate him.
Actually so far I haven’t seen the whole movie, but I will catch up on that in the next few days.
Would like to know what kind of device is installed on the Uzi she is carrying. Doesn’t look like a silencer, at least not a type I have seen before.

Very good, Pam has never been sexier. I would like to see the rest of that film now and see just how long she keeps that wetsuit on for.
She keeps it on for at least 10 more minutes, which is basically nearly the complete rest of the movie.
Will watch it this week.

When she climbs the ladder of the yacht, the wetsuit is wet. But a few seconds later, when she steps on the deck, the wetsuit is already dry, ha ha. Few directors take these all-important details into account 🙂

Or she has a prototype self-drying heating system installed in that wetsuit… 😉

Hi. I was the designer of the wetsuit. Harvey’s Skin Diving Supplies, Inc. was the White Stag OEM maker back then. White Stage in Portland got the request for suits, we received the measurements and made to order several wetsuits. I don’t recall if all were used. By about 1982, WHite Stag ogt out of the rubber business and for several we distributed White Stag as a way to increase amrke share at shops that had Harvey’s suits. No one really knew we had multiple brands as the suits were shipped from an ajcent city address.

Wonderful design, sir. Many of us saw female characters in movies or TV series from the 70’s when we were children, Man from Atlantis, Six million dollar man and others, and those great wetsuits remained in our memory. Those suits looked fantastic.
